Excellent and quick service. A good range of comfortable, safe, family cars. The gentleman at the desk even called us a taxi to get back to our hotel after we dropped off the car on Thursday.
We hired a car from Puerto Banus. It was very convenient and easy and Yessica made the whole process simple and seamless.
Horrible experience. I reserved an automatic 6 person car, and confirmed it with Avis representative prior to pick up. Upon arriving to Avis, found out they only have stick shift. I told them I am not comfortable driving stick shift car, and he stated this is the only car he has for 6 people, and that I would have to drive this stick shift to another Avis location in a city 2 hours away to change cars. We were on vacation in Spain with my family of 6, and this completely ruined our day and negatively impacted our activities for that day. Completely unacceptable.
Today I was in AVIS Puerto Banus at the Shell gas station. Mr. Javier and Lissa were very helpful and maintained patience while going through my request. I got what I was looking for and moved on happy.
This is by far the worst Avis experience I've ever had, with a dishonest customer service which feels very shady. You are on vacation, avoid all this mess and stress - just read through the reviews, I'm not the first customer they overprices, find a reliable rental company. It's not worth your time and energy. I've emailed Avis customer support, but even though they promised to reply after 10 days, no one followed up
Very helpful staff car is excellent love the technology available at this lower end of the rental market. Apple CarPlay even worked.
Hired a 9 seater from Avis for the first time this year. To find I was charged nearly EUR1000 for damage that I did not do, their operative rushed the paperwork and did not do a vehicle check, my naivety led me to trust the company after only having positive hire experiences with an alternative supplier (sixt). To my shock I arrive home and was smacked with this bill. I appealed against this and after a 2 MONTH investigation, I was told the damage wasn't marked as pre-existing. Absolute joke, will never use again, be very careful when you take out car hire and make sure you have all damage logged- although this should be the process of the company not you! I will be taking up with my bank, disgraceful service. AVOID
