i read your terms of service and did not find any point that says that my reservation cancelled if I do not pick up the car on time. I wrote to you and asked if my plane was late can I pick up the car the next day. your employee informed me that the reservation cancelled.... this is not stated in the terms and conditions. and what is strange because after all your company would earn money for one day of rental just for the fact that the car was in the parking lot. easy money.... in addition, the delay of the plane is not my fault and in the situation of the great flood in Valencia 29-10-2024 you could have shown more empathy. hundreds if not thousands of people had a huge problem. your company did nothing to help customers just added extra fees to customers.

Fuel Scam, beware! We paid for their more premium key and go service and have ended up being scammed out of fuel money. We picked up the car with less fuel than we dropped it off with and they've had the audacity to charge us over EUR65 for the tiniest amount out of the tank. Absolutely disgusting, I'm not sure how they expect you to get to the car park without a drop of fuel missing! Picked up with 640 range, dropped off with 660 and the dial shows near on the exact same amount on drop off and pick up. I'll be dragging them through every complaints system possible until they refund me. Absolute scam. Edit (19/10): I did get in contact with them and they sent me back a generic part of their T&Cs about receiving it with a full tank and returning it with a full tank. I'll now be asking to go through the Hojas De Reclamaciones.

The service overall was good from booking and adding documents to enable a quick collection. I liked the option to pay for complete insurance cover which avoids a large deposit being held on a credit card. Which overall the cost was still very reasonable. The car was perfect and what I had requested. The collection was ok although not being familiar with the key collection system it probably took longer than it should have to collect the key and complete the transaction. I will know how to do this the next time though. I did however find this service lacking in the personal touch and although there were plenty of staff around there was no acknowledgment of one's presence and I had to interrupt someone to ask where the car bay was situated. By complete contrast when I returned the car the operative that dealt with me was refreshingly helpful, friendly and chatty which turned my experience around to being a lot better than when I collected the car and regained my faith in the company. I now feel I would be happy to used Goldcar hire again. Thank you. I have included photos of the car when I returned it.

Scammers. As you can see from previous posts their whole business idea is to make money out of small scratches that were there before and are charged over and over again. In my case they first tried to accuse me of smoking in the car and wanted an extra cleaning fee. I pointed out this was ridiculous, I don't smoke and the car didn't have the faintest smell of smoke. They then went on with their meticulous inspection with a flashlight and found a small white mark which was not on the report. After arguing which led nowhere, I simply went to get a rag and water and managed to remove the white mark, which appearantly was just superficial. Maybe the inspector put it there himself. Based on Goldcar's tricks I have seen in the other reviews it wouldn't surprise me. Anyway, after showing the employee that the mark was now completely gone he agrued that ge already filed the damage report for 400EUR, but he promised to make a note so that their backoffice could remove the charge tomorrow. Of course they didn't remove the charge. After numerous emails and phonecalls to Goldcar providing photos and employee's note, signature and stamp that no damage exist, all they do is ghost me. Stay away at all costs, you WILL get scammed.

Valencia airport, the queue machine was not visible. Many people were standing there long time before someone else (not yr clerk) suggested to pick up a queue number. With queue number, the clerks did not invite people in any logical way. Many people just went to counter and they got served without number. It was a mess. Picking up the car was a bit interesting, one guy (male) said there is no such car that you were sent to pick up. Another clerk (lady) came with the keys 1 minute later. It was there! Checking the car and pointing out some new existing scratches and dents went very smoothly. That lady was a professional. Using the car and returning it went without any problems. Setting aside the mess at airport counter, the overall experience was very good. Would recommend Goldcar any time. And I plan to come back and use one of your cars in one month already, this time from Barcelona airport.

Avoid this rental company at any costs! Additional service fees (10 EUR only multiplied by the number of customers...) were charges at pick up despite full payment towards booking.com. The first question when I returned the car was if a took the full insurance coverage with then, and as it was not the case the guy rushed to search any damage he could charge. He found 2 scratches that were actually already on the vehicle at pick up and I had photos to prove it but he rejected them as not taken inside the dark parking lot but outside on the day light to better check the damages on the first day of rental. The Goldcar employee initially told me that it was enough to take photos in the event of additional damage, not that they had to be taken in the poorly light parking lot, so DO NOT TRUST THEM ! Total cost 214 EUR more than the rental cost for 2 scratches for which I'm not responsible for. Actually there were plenty of damages already present at pick up, so many that I had considered that all the crosses on the contract should cover everything but not at all ! And the guy knew where to look at immediately. There were many unrepaired ones on the vehicle, which would tend to suggest that Goldcar are charging for scratches that are never repaired, probably in order to charge them easily to the next customers. Besides, the vehicle's tires were under-inflated and this safety parameter was not checked by Goldcar before delivering, this is another demonstration that Goldcar prioritize money over the safety of their customers, which is all the more revolting. For your information, the standard response below from Goldcar is of no use, I didn't get anything so now make your own opinion and make the right choice! My only hope is that at least some of you will choose an other rental car company after this review, I still have lost 214 EUR but at some point Goldcar will loose them missing any further revenues.

Upon receipt of the car, there were many serious damages not recorded in the report, such as damage to the windshield, serious damage to the entire door from top to bottom, and a serious blow to the fender. The car was completely damaged when it was issued, but goldcar managed to find a scratch that was not mentioned in the contract (see photo). Even if I had made the scratch, it would be gone with a little polish. Of course, if I get my deposit back, I will adjust this review properly. Until then I feel completely ripped off. Gold Car from Ibiza is a company that takes the opportunity to steal your deposit money when it can. We rented a car that had a part full of small dents, as we know from the practices of this type of company, we recorded the car before leaving. When we returned the car and said there were no problems, they sent us a claim with one of the dents, fortunately we had the video showing that it was already there when we took it and yet, providing graphic evidence, they decided to charge us the deposit. SIMPLY A SCAM! I rented a car, which I used and returned in perfect condition. At the return I asked the guy from Goldacar if everything is okay, because I dont want to encounter surprise charges later. He tells me yes. 20 days later a charge for almost 100 Euros appears on my credit card. When I ask why this is, they tell me that the guy who received the car detected that another person drove the car into the parking lot and was not registered as an additional driver. I explain to him that I drove the car to the return line and that when I got out to look for someone to come look at the car, my partner stayed unloading the suitcases, and in the meantime the entire line of cars in front of us moved forward, and He simply ran the car a few meters forward so as not to block the path of other cars that were there, but it was definitely a misunderstanding. Goldcars response: you did not hire an additional driver, therefore our payment is correct. I review the contract and there is no clause that indicates that Goldcar can make that charge unilaterally or apply a penalty for it, so I ask first that the response be reconsidered, because it seems unfair and not very transparent on the part of the company and second, I ask that legal support be sent to me, indicating that Goldcar is authorized to make that charge. A month has passed and more than 10 emails have been exchanged with customer service and they only give me vague answers and no concrete legal support to support their actions. SIMPLY A SCAM. Why didnt they tell me this at the airport when I returned the car, I say? when I specifically asked if everything was fine and there would be no surprise additional charges...

Al preguntar a que se debe, me dicen que el chico que recibio el coche detecto que otra persona condujo el coche dentro del estacionamiento y no estaba registrado como conductor adicional. Yo le explico que yo conduje el coche hasta la fila de devolucion y que cuando me baje a buscar alguien que venga a ver el coche, mi pareja se quedo descargando las maletas, y en ese intertanto toda la fila de coches delante nuestro avanzo, y el simplemente corrio el auto unos metros hacia adelante para no bloquear el paso a otros coches que estaban ahi, pero que definitivamente era un malentendido. Respuesta de Goldcar: usted no contrato conductor adicional por lo tanto nuestro cobro esta correcto. Reviso el contrato y no existe ninguna clausula que indique que Goldcar puede hacer ese cargo unilateralmente ni aplicar una penalidad por aquello, por lo que pido primero que se reconsidere la respuesta, porque me parece injusto y poco transparente por parte de la empresa y segundo, pido que se me envie el respaldo legal, que indique que Goldcar esta facultado a efectuar ese cargo. Han pasado un mes y mas de 10 correos intercambiados con servicio al cliente y solo me dan respuestas vagas y ningun respaldo legal concreto que sustente su actuar. SIMPLEMENTE UNA ESTAFA. ?Porque no me lo indicaron en el mismo aeropuerto cuando devolvi el coche digo yo? cuando pregunte expresamente si todo estaba bien y no habrian cobros adicionales sorpresa...

I do not recommend GoldCar at all, especially at Valencia Airport. We rented the car with the Full Fuel option at the Valencia Airport and they left it with an empty tank with gasoline left for 115km, which we notified as soon as we found out about it by calling customer service. The operator instructed us by phone to send an email commenting on the problem we had and that is what we did, attaching the photos of the state of the tank before refueling, after refueling and the receipt of what we refueled at a gas station 6 km from the airport . When we left the car we left it with the same tank as we picked it up with gasoline for 200 and it gained kms. When we return from the trip we receive a penalty of 107 euros for leaving the car with an empty tank. We called customer service again and they told us to send an email again to another address with all the photos and evidence we had. A few days later we received a response that they had reviewed all the contract information and that the car was delivered in Valencia with a full tank, which was a LIE. They are scammers. Alquilamos el coche con la opcion Full Fuel en el Aeropuerto de Valencia y nos los dejaron con deposito vacio donde quedaba gasolina para 115km lo que avisamos nada mas enterarnos de eso llamando a la atencion al cliente. La operadora nos dio instrucciones por telefono de enviar un email comentando el problema que hemos tenido y fue lo que hicimos adjuntando las fotos del estado de deposito antes de repostar, despues de repostar y el tiquet de lo que repostamos en una gasolinera 6 km del aeropuerto. Al dejar el coche lo dejamos con el deposito igual como lo recogimos con gasolina para 200 y pico kms. Al volver del viaje nos llega una penalizacion de 107 eur por dejar el coche con deposito vacio. Llamamos otra vez a la atencion al cliente y nos dicen de enviar otra vez un email a otra direccion con todas las fotos y pruebas que teniamos. Unos dias despues nos llega la contestacion de que han revisado toda la informacion del contrato y que el coche se entrego en Valencia con el deposito lleno que fue una MENTIRA. Son unos estafadores. Tener mucho cuidado con ellos...Nunca mas GoldCar! Escribiremos opiniones en todas las plataformas posibles para que no podais enganar de esta manera a mas gente.
