Given the amazing price (basic coverage), we had a great experience. Obviously you should worry about having all existing damages documented when picking up the car (unless you have purchased full coverage with zero deductible), as they do inspect it thoroughly when you return it. But as we took our time to inspect the car and have all scratches documented that weren't in the system when we picked it up, we had no troubles when dropping it off. Beware that other drivers may damage your car when it is parked on city streets - the parking spaces are tiny and curbs very tall - and that will come out of your deductible. Can't complain about Wiber itself. Loved their all digital approach and found the people there were honest and straightforward. Also grateful for the free shuttle service!
Very BAD Experience!! The first car they gave me was all wet inside (including the seats), it was full of scratches on the paint and dents on the bodywork and it had more than 50,000km on it. After a complaint, it was replaced. The second car was not wet inside, but it was also full of scratches on the paintwork, had dents in the bodywork and had more than 55,000km. As I was in a hurry, and because I had already been waiting for almost 60 minutes, I accepted the car. I took photos as suggested by the employee who helped me, to add to the photos (!) that Wiber had already sent by email, together with the contract. I tried to photograph everything I saw in the best way possible, because it was late afternoon and the light wasn't the best, but I missed taking a photo of the roof... When I returned the car (morning of 26/10/2024), the employee who attended me went to inspect the car, and in the midst of all those scratches and dents, he found a small dent in the roof that was not referenced in the photos they gave me, not even in the ones I had... surreal! I complained to the employee, because I'm sure it was something that already existed. I then asked to speak to his boss, who, by the way, treated me terribly bad, because he refused to listen to me, just because I was upset and exalted... he is truly incompetent when it comes to customer relations. Of course I was exalted! This is shameful! They charged me EUR230.06 to compensate for the dent in the roof, discounting them from the EUR1100 deposit I had to make the day I picked up the car, without having any idea that it was mandatory!! But that would be another story... very bad! I do not recommend this company to anyone!! It was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a Car Rental!!
I rented a car here for the second time. very good price for a rental. they will take you from the airport to the rental office and, after returning the car, back to the airport. the deposit for the car is a little higher, but it corresponds to what you are borrowing. not once did I have a problem with returning the deposit and I went to Gibraltar and also to Ronda and Granada. The car is a little scratched, but the inside is clean and it drives without any problems. Totally satisfied with the services.
I personally had a smooth and very pleasant experience.The car was exactly what i wanted, fairly fresh, no technical issues. I got it for a very good price and was not hassled to buy insurance on the collection(which took like 15min overall counting from stepping from terminal building). The return was super smooth, with no nonsense, immediate confirmation in the email. If i was to try and pick on something - car could be cleaner, some scuffs from previous renters. BUT the price and the smooth process - makes me a very happy customer! Having that said, i always have my documents (including credit cards) intact and take LOADS of images and videos of the car state before and after, to avoid any disputes.
I've rented from Wiber Car Rental twice, and both experiences have been excellent. Their prices are competitive, and the service is smooth and professional. The shuttle bus to and from the airport was quick and convenient. I was given a brand-new car in perfect condition, and since I chose the all-inclusive option, returning the vehicle was hassle-free - the staff only checked the fuel level. I'll definitely choose Wiber again on my next trip to Spain. Highly satisfied!
UPDATE: Wiber (falsely) flagged my review for violating Google Maps policy, trying to get this negative review taken down. I submitted an appeal to Google Maps and the review is still here. Thanks to Google Maps for being an arbiter of truth. My Review: A note for Americans: rent with another agency. Do not rent with Wiber. I rented a gas powered vehicle and they gave me an electric car. That electric car had a faulty charging cable in the trunk. I wasn't able to charge the car and had to have it towed. They charged me 50EUR for the towing and then they charged me EUR250 because the car did already had a lot of dents and scratches at another dent from the tow truck. Additionally, the car that they gave me was programmed in the language of Portuguese instead of Spanish or English . Additionally, when I got to the shuttle from the airport shuttle driver did not have my name or reservation and was reluctant to let me get in the shuttle. Additionally, the rental cars smelled like cigarettes . Additionally, the counter agent was very rude and blamed me for not knowing how to use the charging cable until I showed them a video of the charging cable, not working on the electric car . This business makes me want to avoid Spain on all future trips because of how this played out.
We booked our Wiber car rental via Ryanair website when booking our flight tickets. We purchased the car rental online including a full coverage insurance. We had an overal good and positive expirience with Wiber in Mallaga. The arrival-procedure was a bit chaotic/hectic and time consuming as many renters arrived at the same time. We had not been sufficiently informed about the system on how to register us at the Wiber shuttle pick-up location outside the airport upon arrival. When you arrive, you need to approach the Wiber driver shittle and ask them to register you on the shuttle waiting pick-up list. Then you wait your turn to be called. A clearer indication of this system would make the transport from the airport to the Wiber rental pick-up location far more efficient. Upon arriving at the Wiber counter we had to wait some time, but we found that the service at the counter was friendly and good. The Wiber officer however suggested that we purchase an additional Wiber full coverage insurance. We did not buy it as we had already purchased an insurance when booking. It would be far more handy if Ryanair and Wiber would ensure that the insurence offered on the website when booking the car, was from Wiber. When you recieve the keys Wiber also sends you an email containing a QR-code allowing you within 2 hours to register damages, schratches etc. not already registered. You should therefore check the rental car and register any abnormalities before departing. The app was easy to use. 1100 eur was blocked as a security deposit along with a 90EUR fuel deposit. We recieved the car with a full tank and filled it up again before returning the car. The return went smoothly. The Wiber agent was friendly, rapid and efficient and it took is less than 10 minutes for us to return the car and get a seat in the Wiber transfer at the airport. The deposits were released without a problem when returning the car. Overal a positive expirience and nice staff!
I had a very satisfying experience with Wiber Car Rental at Malaga Airport. The shuttle service from the airport to their station runs regularly and is very convenient. I did not experience significant wait times at the station to get the keys to the car. Initially, I planned to use their contactless rental through the key safe, but due to a flight delay, they had to return the designated car to their rotation before I arrived. Despite this, a very nice car was quickly allocated and handed over to me. Returning the car was also quick and hassle-free. Having full coverage through their all-inclusive fee was very helpful and expedited the entire process. Overall, a highly recommended service and a very good experience.
