WATCH OUT, SCAM!!!! First of all, the car was of a make that I've never heard of--some Chinese SWM. On the rental paper, it stated that there were no damages on the car. However, it was full of scratches and dents, which I took video and photo evidence of. Upon opening the door, it smelled like the worst feet/sweat mix you can imagine. The brakes were not working properly, the reverse camera was broken, and it had no CarPlay connectivity (which should be a minimum in 2024, I'd say). Upon returning the car, it's really important that you have a receipt from a gas station not more than 10 km away. They don't tell you this before renting; you have to carefully read the FAQ and Terms to find out. Also, nobody is going to check the car when you return it. No other customers were there when I returned the car, but the lady at the desk said, "We don't have the time." I was parked 10m away. I showed them the video of the damages that were on the car before I picked it up, and she said that it was all fine--if I had the video, it should be okay. Now, when my plane landed about 5 hours later, I received an email stating that I was charged EUR390 + a EUR50 administration fee for the scratches I had already documented in the video. I reached out immediately via the email they provided multiple times, in English and Spanish as well, but no response. I shared the images, but still nothing. At this point, I am starting a legal process with the European Consumer Center, as this process is far from fair. My booking number is: P/292-2024-35125, in case you'd like to check it out.
Do not go for this rental service!! As a background, I have rented cars from a lot of vendors abroad, and this is the worst vendors I have ever experienced. It did at multiple occasions seem like the employees didn't have much control. The line was moving really slowly as the employees were running back and forth. They did example-vise struggle with finding the keys to car we booked. The car we received were dirty on the inside, and nobody assessed the damage done to the car before we took the car. We took pictures of the damage on the car (rear bumper), and took the car for a spin. When delivering the car, the company charged us for the same damage that we already took photos of. They are also not responding to our mail regarding this.
I'll start with when we got there: Half an hour to be seen, which is fine. They were busy and I can respect that we had to wait. Issues started almost instantly when we was sent down to collect the key, we was palmed off instantly because of how busy they were handling other issues. We were told take a key and go find this bay. We were not given a detailed run round of the car describing scratches and issues with the car (there was a lot of them) such as no rear wind blade wiper, tow cap missing, a variety of scratches (which I photographed prior to us taking the vehicle). We use the car for the week, with no issues, and to be fair the cleanliness of the car was okay as well (although no mats inside). Then we return the car at 4am ready for our 7am flight, fully fuelled, no more dents or scratches added on our journeys throughout the week. I take more photos of the car and how it was left. I then put the key back in the box that I was instructed to do so, because they weren't open at the time and no one was around to talk to, and then headed back to England. As I landed, I received an email instantly saying that they have charged me EUR337 (PS281) due to damages. As you'd expect I was angry at this situation, however I looked through the images that they sent me and realised they had sent me photos of damage that was already there. Thankfully I have taken photos and produced an email with all this attached, requesting that don't take the money because I didn't cause this damage and can prove this. However, I've been waiting 5 days for them to respond, I sent it to multiple email addresses, 1 chaser up email, 5 complaints forms but nothing. No one is willing to deal with my issue and is probably the worst customer service I have ever received in my 22 year existence. Unfortunately I feel like being classed as a young driver has gone against me because they are trying to take advantage of me due to my lack of knowledge/ experience around this situation.
Firstly, we booked and then needed to amend times weeks in advance and never got a reply to the numerous emails I sent. When I called in, the options were purely automated and redirecting you to the website to... email in. Do not expect support. Secondly, the queue on arrival was utterly ridiculous, with very limited staff. Upon arrival you collect a ticket number, wait your turn, then go through the process. Between collecting my ticket (20:59) and collecting my car (22:59) it was TWO HOURS. There were 38 people in the queue when we arrived and from what I could see around 3 counter staff. 2 hours of holiday lost upon arrival, purely waiting. I would absolutely not recommend this company if you want a speedy exit from the airport, the only other company that was CLOSE to busy was Goldcar, but nowhere near as busy. The others were quiet. It is a Monday evening, off-peak season and time. There's no excuse for the limited staff and such relaxed and slow service. The prices are cheap, but ask yourself why you can get a car for EUR40 for a week, and what type of service do you expect for that price.
Place has great prices but cars are very dirty. We picked up the car and there was a weird sound, but the staff did not hesitate and they changed for us. The replacement car was very dirty, both inside and outside. They showed us more options but all of the cars were dirty. We picked 1 car and asked them to clean before we went out. Still the car was very sticky, windows werent wiped correctly and floor is dirty. The staff were great though, very easy to follow. If you book with their website directly you can avoid deposit fees but you still need to pay fuel deposit which is returned once the car is returned with full tank. The pictures were taken after we asked to clean the car.
As a young driver it was difficult finding a suitable hire car but Record Go was a great experience. There was a bit of an issue when collecting as they didn't have a "Corsa sized" car class available so they upgraded me to a Fiat Tipo Diesel which was great and used very little fuel! We did around 2000km over 2 weeks and had no issues with the car. Took out full insurance for no worrying, no deposit and no mileage restrictions. We dropped off out of hours and there were no extra fees for this. Just remember to fill car up at a fuel station within 10km of the airport and keep the receipt in the car or with the keys on return. I also kept a photograph of the receipt just in case but had no issues getting my fuel deposit back. Would definitely use Record Go again.

Thanks for a great experience with our recent car hire at the airport. Free upgrade too. Friendly and helpful staff at check in + no delays. Deposits were payed back promptly. Update: I've used this company 3 times in the last year and only had good experiences. They now have self service check in machines. Fairly easy and the staff guide you through the process.
