National Car Rental - Aeropuerto de Malaga-Costa del Sol in Malaga

During the storm and floods of November they closed the branch. I totally understand the need for employee safety and closing the branch at this time is a good idea, however it left passengers stranded with no means of onward travel, and with no notice or communication. I will not use this company in the future based on this experience

We had an excellent experience. Shuttle was waiting at the aiport for an easy transfer.. Car was brand new. Drop off easy. We read horror stories about renting cars, but this was a very positive experience.

When we arrived we were promptly transferred to the sation with the waiting shuttle bus. Upon arrival at the station thee was no car in our category available and we were offered a smaller vehicle. We insisted on the higher category and the service agent Yousseff promised us to provide such a car by next day. And he did great, he war in regular cotnact with me and even brought the car to the location we were at when a car was found. Very good service, thanks Youssef! The car then was new and a perfect match for ur raod trip through Spain. Return in Bilbao was also very straightforward.

Worst rental car experience I've had. Landed in Malaga and walked to the shuttle bus area. There was no shuttle bus. Waited about 10 minutes and still no bus so I called the office on my confirmation email that I had received the day before. After trying multiple times, I never got anyone to pick up. Finally, after about 25 minutes, the shuttle bus showed up. The driver called back to the rental car office and then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have any cars for me. I booked this rental five months in advance and received a confirmation email the day before. I told the driver this wasn't an option and he took us to the rental car place where a woman came out and said sorry we don't have any cars for you. I told her this wasn't an option and I needed a car since I didn't have another option and all other rental car places were completely sold out . She then proceeded to lie to me and tell me that I was late for my rental and because of this they gave my rental away. And that is their policy. Which come to find out was a complete lie after talking to the national car, rental customer service the following day. They had my flight information and knew exactly when my flight landed, and when I would arrive to pick up my car. They ended up putting me my wife and three young children in a car where we had to stack suitcases on top of my kids amd wife and drive unsafely through Spain, because national decided to not hold up their end of the agreement with the rental that I made with him. overall, the worst experience I've ever had, and I absolutely would not trust anyone at this rental car agency. The woman who rented our car to us, lied to us, and I've never had an experience like this before. Would walk in the future before renting from this National.

Excellent service. I was very happy with the quick pick up and return to the airport. The shuttle drove me immediately even though I was the only passenger. Getting and returning the car was also super quick. They don't have specific Executive aisles but I was asked if I liked the car they wanted to give me or if I would prefer another one. So I would have had the option to choose a different or bigger car.

We were a little put off by the fact you needed to be picked up from the airport to be taken to the rental location. This was painless and it took perhaps 5 minutes. The team with the cars were ready for us and had us in our car really efficiently. We dealt with Maria who was excellent but the whole team seemed on point. Would book again.
