Europcar Malaga - Alquiler de Coches in Malaga

After receiving this invoice I cannot but share my shock on the charges that were imposed on me without my knowledge or consent. I booked via booking.com an alfa romeo or similar. When I reached the rental office in Malaga train station the sales lady told me that alfa romeo tonale was not available as its being sold. She then tried to upsell me other models and I kept refusing as I just wanted to get the car I selected. She made my situation so difficult that I had to agree to another car - in this case a Mercedes C class - she told me the price is 80 Euro but she will give me discount and make it 40 Euro. My original rental period was 3 days - so 40 euros additional seemed as good deal. So I took it. To my surprise is that the price she gave was per day and without tax - something she did not mention at all - if she did I would never agree. My original rental for 3 days was 86 Euros - suddenly it increased by 145 euros as a complete scam from europcar salespeople. I was also charged assistance fee of 35 euro which I have no idea what it is. Also an additional 35 Euro for insurance for crossing into Portugal which is a cost I was scammed into as the lady said only 12 euros additional seemed additional - also failing to mention per day. This lying, scamming and hiding of information is very unprofessional and shows how their sales have bad intentions to scam customers just to make commission.

Hello, At the moment they are Police and lawyers involved. They just took our deposit and do not respond anymore. We booked europcar only because we thought they try not to cheat and try to remain a good reputation.

It was a very smooth car pick-up experience, probably the best I had till know: I didn't have to wait, process was quick, staff spoke fluent English, answered all questions and advised. The lady suggested a car with automatic transmission in case my booking for manual transmission was due to limited supply. Next time I need a car in Malaga, I'm sure I won't go anywhere else.

Overall, experience wasn't bad. However clerk convinced us to rent car for 200 more than car already booked, which probably wasn't necessary, but no big deal. We had a difficult time finding the car lot, because not located near terminal. However return was easy. I would recommend

Thieves that use any possible way to steal your money. Never rent any car from them. If you do, make pictures of every inch of a car upon renting and returning. They are sick and they are willing to do anything for your money. Months after rental they would be sending you fake invoices to pay and they would steal your money, because they have your card details. I returned car in the same shape when I rented it. Not a single minor scratch and still they swnd me fake invoices.Sick people. Stay away from them at all cost!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! First of all we already picked a car and paid for it online and the salesman tried to convince us to change our car to an EV which was more expensive (we would have to pay for it extra on top of what we already paid!!!). Secondly we've been tricked to paid a "cross border fee" because we wanted to go to Gibraltar. We have confirmed at a different Europcar location that this fee is not something we should have paid. After we returned the car we recieved an email from Europcar after some time that they found some small damages on the car's body but it will be covered from the insurance - We took a great care of the car but of course it is always possible to find something unless you took picture of every centimeter of the car. We thought the car has been already inspected but no... After another few weeks Europcar has once again contacted us and apparently they found some scratches and we need to pay 200 EURO and of course the damage they found earlier has been priced exactly 1,200 EURO so we need to pay extra. This is absolutely unbelievable and we will NOT let ourselves get scammed again. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!

Be warned! Please do pictures of everything when renting and when returning. I rented a car and returned it with no damage at all. After the return they send me photos with a large scratch on the mirror which was not there while returning, so they must have done damages by themselves! After a month they sent me another invoice stating that they found another scratch during another car screening and they are sure it was during my rental (another lie). Watch out for these scums!!!

be carfull!!! we returned two cars and were told to park them and leave the keys in the box. they said we shouldnt worry because we paid for a full cover. more than two weeks later at exactly the same time we recived noticed that there was a damage. we wrote back and got no reply. in one car they said there was a part missing which we had no knoledge of... and in the other that there was damage but we couldnt understand from the photos. if you decide to rent a car with this company i suggest you take photos of the entire car when you are done and do not return the car without a full inspection. dont trust them!
