I always go to NIZACARS when wanting a hire car in Malaga. The staff are always polite and willing to help whenever. Their branch at the airport is very handy - to be picked up when you come out of the door and taken around to the vehicle pick-up centre makes it a fantastic service - along with their competitive prices.

Absolute scammers!!! We reserved our car for 7 DAYS, we were 5 hours late due to a flight delay and they said we had to pay an extra $60 for a different car because they had sold our car to someone else. We had the car reserved for 7 days...how is this acceptable? We tried to argue our case that the flight delay was not our fault and we could not contact them because we were on the flight. They even ask for your flight number on the booking form so we asked them why they couldnt have just checked to see if our flight had been delayed? I assume this would be an easy solution to a very common problem of people being late to pick up a car rental next to an airport...I think this would show more customer care as they told us we went passed the '2 hour delay time' to hold the car which again, I think is really bad policy seeing as we were going to be giving them money for 7 days worth of a car rental fee. I again assume this is to get people to pay the extra fee as most of the time you don't want to deal with the inconvenience and extra stress of finding a new car rental place when you've just landed on holiday. We were visibly upset and confused and tired from our flight delay and they then refused to offer us the upgrade we were eventually willing to pay for. We had to beg them multiple times to finally get them to agree again to rent us a car and not leave us stranded in a foreign country. Really stressful experience and really rude and uninterested staff. I have looked at the company reviews and even their replies to paying customers are so rude and unprofessional. You can tell when you walk into the office that they don't care about customer service, as another review stated, they look bored and uninterested and I couldn't agree more. I am certain the reply to this review will be in the same arrogant tone but just look at other people's experiences to understand that there is a pattern with this company. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere, it's not worth such a stressful start to your holiday.

I rented a car in May 2023 in Barcelona. We deposit a deposit of 500EUR. once the vehicle is returned I insist on having a document attesting that everything is OK and they tell me that the refund arrives after 3 days. To this day I still have not had the refund of the 500 euros deposit, they answer me to my reminder emails with boat answers without providing any concrete information. It's clearly a bunch of crooks who apply low rental rates but who scam these customers as soon as it is insurance or deposit. To be avoided absolutely.

As previous reviews mentioned NizaCars forces customers to pay >100% premiums and additional charges if you don't have a credit card, while ignoring the fact that deposits can also be blocked with debit cards. Even worse, once they charge you, then they allow debit cards deposits. I've been very unfortunate having been a customer with them

Car was good. Drop off ridiculous. 2 hour wait to drop off car unless you want to leave before getting your deposit back! Haha no. Also in the very long cue you get time to see them try to rip people off with the insurance excess. They give the hard sell so beware! There are 2 staff on the desk. The company knows when everyone is arriving. They have the flight times in bookings. They also have everyone's details. Why do they take so long? Hard sell. Trying to rip people off. They need more staff and to become efficient. Be honest, not cowboys. If you can, take your business elsewhere. Other companies are fast and efficient. This place: Inefficient. Slow. Untrustworthy.

I cannot recommend this company. They clearly scam their customers by forcing them into buying their insurance even though you already payed one online. They try to scare you by claiming, that each scratch will cost 300 Euros, if you don't cover it with full insurance. If you don't pay 1'500 Euros upfront, they won't give you the car. The car rental isn't located at the airport, you have to take a shuttle bus which will not always be there and you might have to wait up to half an hour. On top the people working there are very rude and bored out by their day to day work - they don't care at all if they're doing a good job. I even got the impression that they are getting payed more if they manage to scam you. It's very sad that this is the first impression you get about Spain as a tourist. Most parts of the documents are in Spanish and they are not even trying to communicate more clearly - so you will be even more confused as a customer. The car itself was okay, but covered in scratches and dents - so you will have a hard time taking photos of each and every dent and at the end it's all about the goodwill of the service employee. It's quite sad for Spain that there are people like that ruining the image and the reputation of such a great nation, while there are a lot of honest people trying to do a good job.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Unless you're Spanish, they will exhaust every opportunity to scam you. Very nasty business model - to profit from alleged damages and ruin the holidays. The only way to fight these scam companies is to unite and post all the photos you have so that you don't get to pay for the same damage 10 times. With NIZACARS, you need to take a photo of every inch of the car, don't forget to include photos with the doors opened unless you take their insurance. How come cars still have scratches if other customers had already been charged for the repairs? I didn't know that these kind of car companies exist. It set me off straight away from the beginning. The guy at the service desk was extremely cocky. I told him that I have an insurance with Zest and my credit card would cover me too. The guy said that my insurance won't help me there. Then he wrote down on the paper 3 options: 1) use your own insurance and they will take EUR1800 euro deposit from the credit card. He threatened that if he FINDS even a tiny scratch once the car is returned, there will be a problem. He didn't even say that if I make a scratch I'll get into trouble as he just needs to find one. If the car needs to be fixed, there we will be a fee. If you break down on the road, you will need to pay hundreds of EUR for assistance if you choose this option. 2) triple the car rent price - full insurance. 3) 1.5 times the car rent price - partial insurance (doesn't cover glass and tires) with a deposit of 400EUR - even accepted a debit card. I chose the third option just because I was sure they will do everything to find something if I don't take an insurance with them. Normal companies freeze your assets. NIZACARS takes your money and then issue you a refund. Be careful if you have poor exchange rates/no EUR card as you will pay extra fees for that. Once I started driving, 5 minutes later the fuel dropped down a bar (Full to full policy). I think once it's completely full, it shows 850 miles and 1 bar drops at 650 as far as I remember particularly on this Renault Captur. On the day of return, we had anxiety reading other reviews. It's not normal to feel like that on your holiday. We returned the car a bit earlier to give us extra time. Upon return the lady said just leave the keys and go. I said no, I want you to check the car so I had to wait 45 minutes in the queue. When she checked the car, she found a dent on the rear tire which was already in the company's sent photos. She didn't argue with me and said that the car looks good and wished me a good day. I responded that I want her to release my deposit as the car had no problems. She responded that she can't do that and printed an A4 sheet of paper in Spanish and signed on the other side of it. This way I had a "proof" from their end that the car has been returned without any new damages. She looked very frustrated and upset that I asked her for a proof. I had even asked her if I can take a photo of her computer screen of my booking details. When we mentioned the poor reviews, she said that other companies have them too. It was an awkward situation when at the other help desk a customer has been shouting for getting accused of allegedly made damages to his rented car. He was about to miss his flight due to the long wait. About the car: the car has no carpets, front windshield steams up sometimes in big circles. Apple connect doesn't always work properly, so you might need to turn off the engine and try again. Overall the car was good and comfortable to drive, used google maps on the car dashboard connected to the phone. P.S. 5 stars for a shuttle driver. You just need to wait for it where all shuttles arrive. It's written NIZACARS on it. In conclusion, the car rent for 7 days was really cheap but the insurance cost 100EUR. I'd rather have chosen another company and wouldn't have worried about alleged damages found upon the return.

So to all the helpless people who have no idea how Check24 and similar sites work and dont have a proper credit card... Dont understand how the deposit works... Then youre in the wrong place, yes. To everyone else, Nizacars service is great and no complaints. Avoid Nizacars at all costs! Upon arrival, they refused to accept our perfectly valid debit card, forcing us to pay an additional 350. On top of that, they charged a 100 cleaning fee for sand in the car, even though the vehicle was cleaned before being returned and was in normal condition for a rental. The charges are outrageous, and the customer service is non-existent. Save yourself the frustration and rent from a company that doesn t treat its customers unfairly.

Insurance rip-off. Warning!!! I found, booked and paid for the vehicle via check 24. Was really cheap. I couldnt get it in Malaga because I had the wrong credit cards. I was sold comprehensive insurance for 375, otherwise I wouldnt have gotten the car. The rent was originally 125. However, the insurance could be debited directly from my card without any problems. That was expensive fun. So dont make the same mistake!

The vw troc without a built-in GPS was very difficult. The GPS would disconnect every time it approached an car each time you would have to touch the screen to reconnect. Very dangerous when you are a foreigner negotiating tricky entrances to new roads or motorways. Also the sound for the GPS was intermittent and would cutout or not even operate. The car lost power going up hills and did not change up to a higher gear descending hills. Staff were fine but disappointed with the vehicle supplied. If I had not bought a spanish sim no GPS. Very poor for a foreign tourist. I asked for another car with GPS built in and it was going to cost as mu h as my rental again.

Let down badly by del paso car hire. Abandoned at 11pm at night with no car in Malaga, although I had confirmation email and they had taken payment in full. Turned to niza car hire the next day where I was met by a helpful pleasant young girl. From now on niza car hire all the way.
