Stay away from this company!!! They are scammers who make their money with making false damage claims when you return the vehicle! We rented a car for one week and returned it spotless, even cleaned the in- and outside. Apparently, that was our mistake because their very unfriendly employees Guillermo and his supervisor Fernando thoroughly tried hard to find something, anything to make us pay. In the end they charged us 660EUR for two tiny, seemingly from rockfall, dots on the windshield. They were so small you could barely see them and I am sure they have been there before since we had absolutely nothing happening during our rental period. 600EUR for the windshield and 60EUR administration fee for their damage claim. Absolutely ridiculous and I have never experienced anything alike with any other company. Plus their staff is super rude and does not even bother to attend you and we spent a good half an hour when returning the car. In the shuttle on the way to the airport we spoke to another guy who told us that exactly the same had happened to him last time. It is obvious this is a scam and their way of making money and the reason they can offer such low rental fees. I will certainly spread the word and advice strongly against renting from them
After being refused from another company because they didn't accept Revolut Card, I wandered into ClickRent. I was met with A Mohammed, and I explained my situation. He was super helpful & even offered me a reduced price so I could pay to take the car with international driving included. I paid a small deposit & my bill. I waited a little while as they prepared the car for me. I looked up reviews and took the 360 video just to be safe. I drove the car, a Peugeot Rifter 1.5dci, which was clean, full of features, and got good mileage to the fuel. I got to take my family to Gibraltar and many other places, the countryside is very beautiful. It is an easy place to explore & well worth it if you want to get away from the tourist places which seem so busy all the time. When I returned, they took a look at the car, I was given my deposit immediately, and I was thanked for being a customer. I would like to thank A Mohammed and the staff for getting me out of the situation I was in. I could not express enough in a review how wonderful it was to deal with this company.
What a shame I did not read the reviews before I purchased online with my own insurance. The 1 star is for the guy at check-in, he was very helpful. Then the car...... scratches, scuffs and knocks on most panels but fine to drive, we took pictures all around the car on departure. The pick up area had minimal lighting too. Then the return, the start of the scam begins. You drive into a super bright, almost showroom bright receiving area where the cars are cleaned, vacuumed and valeted. The first alarm bell was a group of poor guys dropping back a minibus next to us arguing as they were being charged EUR130 for "too much dirt inside the vehicle" which was barely anything. I had only driven 45km and parked at family's home on a drive. The inspector then claimed to find a new scratch on the bonnet, circled it and fixated on this damage. I showed the photos that we had taken on collection but apparently they were "not clear enough". The car was covered in proper damage everywhere. I realised straight away that this was going to be a lost battle. This is all very coincidental with me not taking out their overpriced extra insurance and taking the EUR1000 deposit on collection. What a disappointment in a company that claim to have so much experience. It's greedy to scam the unsuspecting renters in what is a massively busy town with cars being rented daily. So much money to be made honestly. In summary, my advice is to pay the extra, go to a proper reputable rental company, don't be drawn in by the cheap prices. You'll end up paying more in the long run. It'll ruin a good holiday experience. Spot the damage if you can.
STAY AWAY FROM CLICKRENT MALAGA! trying to post zero starts... I booked last minute 2 day rental through Booking.com. When I showed up the agent had a huge attitude, unhelpfull. Told me since I had a US license per Spain law I had to pay to create international license online. I rented car in Spain earlier this year and didn't have to do this. Should have left right there. I scan the code and it tells me its $35 to do this expedited. After I pay the $35 I immediately get email that it will be in 2 hrs. And if I want this within 15min when waiting at the counted, I need to pay another $25. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a site related to this car rental place to get more money from you. Also if you are leaving before 8am, they tell you they will charge you 50E to drop off the car at parking lot right next to them. Never heard of that. Whenever we drop off early, we park it and leave keys in the drop off box. But whatever. We drop off the car at the parking garage next to them and I asked for receipt and for someone to check the car. I'm told they don't do that. So at least I took pictures. As we get back to Dublin I get invoice for 450E for bumper damage??? There certainly wasn't any when I dropped it off. Disputing with my CC and pretty sure my pictures will be fine but super annoying to deal with. EDIT- month later they provided picture of the "damage". Its the same 2mm scratch that was there in my picture barely visible and they made it slightly bigger. Still tiny but they tried to charge 400E! What a scam!
Definitely not a customer oriented company. Of course the pricing looks cheap on website but be sure they steal your money when they can. No doubt they request 1200EUR for a deposit at the counter. The yearly maintenance of the car hasn't been done on time, and our car had smoke coming out from the engine with a strong weird smell. We contacted the road assistance, sent emails and evidence... and the assistance said they will cover the towing cost. I requested an email confirmation to confirm the free of charge and had no emails. When i returned the car, the guy charged me 282,00EUR because i used their road assistance service. I tried to explain that the car had problem and they kept telling that it was impossible because the car was new.... The worst experience ever ! I felt not secured with the car for what happened. And they still took your money. Be very careful of these scammers !!
It's a trap. Scam Alert. Extremely slow and inefficient check-in process. Probably, their focus is on upselling coverages rather than providing basic customer service. They also came up with a phony excuse to sell exuberant insurance coverages. After I rejected the offer, the lady at the counter said we don't rent to American driver's license holders. Rent from a reputable company. 2 hour wait for nothing. Thanks to Uber, I'm heading to my hotel in Malaga.
Renting a car with Click and Rent was super easy, but my experience was completely ruined by the woman who handled the car check-out. I have never encountered someone so rude in customer service before. She was disrespectful and lacked basic manners, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Because of her, I will not be renting from this location again. Customer service requires individuals who genuinely care about their clients, not those who yell and show no consideration. Additionally, the service was very slow when returning the car, even with a FAST TRACK option. This was not helpful at all.
