Great experience! We booked at the last minute for a good deal, we took the insurance to be more chill, and we had no problem at all. Shuttle to bring us back to the airport, perfect!

Lost money and no car I have booked a car through billiger-mietwagen.de in Portugal with full insurance coverage. The local company in Portugal (Rent-a-star Porto) refused to accept my card on the spot, despite the fact that they had previously accepted to take the whole money for the car from the same card. Both companies felt no responsibility and ordered to talk to the other side. Not to mention that the conversations itself were exceptionally unpleasant, you can't count on a polite way of talking. In the Google reviews, it is plain to see that I am not the only person with such problems. It is a regular case with this company. They are taking the money, then not accepting a card and not giving the car. Unfortunately, when buying through the intermediary company, I did not check the reviews locally. I was counting on the purchase from billiger-mietwagen.de being fair and safe. If you are looking for an intermediary company that assures a safe and fair purchase so you do not lose your money and end up without a car and help in a foreign country, avoid this company. I lost my money and had to rent a car from another company.

Fantastic experience. I rented through an online portal and hadn't heard of this company in particular. But I was pleasantly surprised! Cars are top notch. Beautiful and mint condition. Their inspection process on check in and check out is very thorough. Staff was first class and they everything was prompt. Car rental return, check in, shuttle all took about 10 mins.

Not sure if the relatively low rating is fair but our experience was great, haven't had a better rental car for this price. An example of honesty - they found a scratch on the car which was not mentioned in the handover protocol (our mistake as well as theirs) but by themselves checked their own photos of the car and confirmed that it was there before, deposit returned on the very same day. Recommended!

We've had a great experience renting from Rent a Star in Porto. Ricardo and the team were very welcoming, professional and were extremely clear explaining details. A-class we rented was spotless and had no issues. If you are coming to Portugal, I'd suggest you to rent a car from them for piece of mind and premium service.

We had great experience with Rent a Star, despite awful reviews. Only one bad thing you can expect, deposit will refunded only in 10 days,they said 1-2 days. But in general- amazing service, great stuff, and car was pretty new . We enjoyed using it

Excellent rent-a-car with amazing vehicles at reasonable prices. It is located in the vicinity of Oporto's airport and they provide you with a shutle bus service to pick you or bring you back to the airport if necessary. The instalations are very spacious and the staff are very efficient and professional. The cars are new and in superb conditions. Since it is a busy rent-a-car you will probably wait a bit longer for the delivery and the paper work to be ready, therefore be patient that at the end you shall be pleased with the vehicle atributed to you. I highly recommend this business.
