Do not use this company. They just scammers. Returned car, and they said car has damaged bumper. When I asked where, they said you should try by hand it is scratch under, it is not visible but you can feel it. They want 300EUR for that. Adding photos of "damaged" bumper. I rented cars so many times, first time dealing with this...

When we arrived to pick up our vehicle, the staff was very friendly and clearly explained the procedures for both pick-up and return. Since we had full insurance coverage, the only deposit required was EUR100 for fuel in case we didn't fill up the tank before returning. However, our experience on returning the vehicle was disappointing. The staff member we dealt with was unexpectedly rude, particularly when he demanded the car's documents. We informed him that the documents should be in the same place they were when we received the vehicle. His response was dismissive, suggesting we could have removed or discarded them, which was unprofessional and uncalled for, especially so early in the morning. It left us feeling uncomfortable, especially considering it was only 7 a.m., and he was just starting his day. Additionally, the car had no window cleaner fluid, which was an inconvenience, especially on long drives. Management should look into both the maintenance of their vehicles and the attitude of certain staff members to ensure a consistently good experience for customers.

Service was great and.polite. Only disappointment is that I didn't manage to get volvo xc60 and was initially offered volvo s60 which has lesser boot space. Eventually I took Peugeot 5008 at a slight incremental cost.

I had a very disappointing experience with this car rental service in Portugal. From the start, I encountered several issues. First, there was no clear instruction on how to obtain the keys, where is the machine located, and after waiting in line, I asked an employee what I needed to do. He simply told me to keep waiting as he was attending to a client from the priority queue, without offering any further assistance. When I finally got the car, there was zero explanation about the vehicle itself or how the toll system works in Portugal, which is essential information for someone unfamiliar with the process. Unfortunately, this lack of guidance led to a serious accident. As I approached a toll gate, I was unsure which lane to choose. While I was trying to figure it out, a large truck hit us. To make matters worse, when the police arrived, they asked for the car's papers, insurance, and registration, none of which were in the vehicle. I almost received a EUR2,000 fine but was let off with a warning. Following this, I endured a nearly 5-hour wait for the towing truck and taxi. Upon returning to the rental office, no one seemed to care about the fact that I had just been in a serious accident. When I tried to explain the situation to a staff member, she seemed more concerned with the possibility that I might want a second car. I showed her the police report and clarified that I did not want another car. She curtly told me I could leave. As I was about to depart, she suddenly chased after me, asking me to sign a form written in Portuguese, which I couldn't understand. This experience was incredibly frustrating and distressing. The lack of support and concern from the staff was shocking, especially considering the severity of the accident. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Eutopcar is always good. Quick transport from the terminal and a quick run through paperwork and then out on the road. We ended up with a Toyota Yaris hybrid. The fuel efficiency was amazing. Lots of driving over 25 days and only used a tank and a half of gas (and it's a small tank of maybe 30 litres)!

Overall, poor service was delivered at this location. I completed the entire check-in online, yet at the desk, I was asked the same questions and often tricky ones trying to make me opt for additional services without clear explanations. The car assigned to me was in poor condition, requiring an oil change the entire trip (1250km). I expected more and better from Europcar, specifically at the check-in.

Always take a video of the car before you rent it. It was my mistake that I didn't take a video. I haven't paid attention to the rim, which was slightly damaged before me. As a result they are trying to charge more than EUR110 for the past damage. You can see that tyre is safe, if the rim is damaged the tyre will be damaged as well. I won't return to this car rental anywhere in the world.

Rented for a week from 26 May to 1 June; Europcar Porto Airport is located just outside of the terminal, just 2-3 mins drive. There is a frequent shuttle service operates 24/7. I see that all the rental car companies are just outside of the terminal but within the terminal compound. Got the booked car, did not purchase the insurance as I had a company insurance for rental cars although there was a little push from the sales person to purchase the insurance. Otherwise everything was perfect! At return met Mr Santos and he was a really nice person, return went really well with greetings and guidance. I would recommend this rental company.

I havent rented with Europcar for a long time, and it will probably be the last time, as the service and quality of the vehicles is worse than any of the competitors. I rented a VW T-Cross, they gave me a small Kia Stonic with a dirty interior and the most basic everything there is.

Good morning, After several attempts to get someone on the phone or by email following a complaint, I was left with no other choice than to leave this review, which deserves no stars. I was the victim of a scam and dishonesty on the part of an agent of this agency (I dont remember the name of this man, hes lucky) Firstly, I inform you that I have signed a rental contract which stipulates an amount of 49.26. However, today to my great surprise, the amount indicated on the invoice that was sent to me does not correspond in any way to what was explained to me during my exchange with this agent. I came to collect the car on Friday, October 4 at 12:15 a.m. instead of Thursday, October 3 at 11:30 p.m. (initially scheduled time) because my flight was delayed, which unfortunately is not within my control. I received an email indicating that I would be asked to pay 25 if I collected the car after the agencys opening hours (00:00), which I completely understand. Once I arrived at the agency, the agent asked me to pay 40 for the delay. I then explain to him that I received an email in which I had been warned that an amount of 25 would be requested from me and not 40. He simply replied no, it s 40 without explanation. He sees my incomprehension and then offers me insurance, explaining to me that with this I will not pay the ransom requested for the delay and that in terms of price it would be equivalent to 40 /50 no more so very beneficial for me. I therefore accept this, I who for your information did not intend to take out any insurance at the start and only pay the 25 late payment. Subsequently, we discuss the electronic toll box, he explains to me that I dont have to worry that he has everything installed and activated without obviously telling me about the cost. Finally, he asks me to pay 186 corresponding, according to his explanations, to the security deposit for gasoline, tolls and insurance, I find it a little expensive but he explains to me that part of the amount will cost me will be returned if I have not taken any toll and if the vehicle is returned with a full tank of gasoline. So I trusted him once again. I would also like to point out that the agent also spoke to me in French (towards the end of course after paying) having understood that it was my most used language in which I am more comfortable. However, he spoke Portuguese throughout the transaction, deliberately being very vague and quick in his explanations, which dissuaded me from asking too many questions... a regret that I have today. Today I notice that the invoice includes amounts of which I was not explicitly informed, namely: - insurance at 71 including tax, as a reminder the agent told me about 40/ 50 no more, - Electronic toll equipment at 6, as a reminder, the agent didnt tell me anything about this, - The shuttle transfer from the airport to the agency at 14 , once again the agent did not tell me anything about this, also I insist on the fact that the use of the shuttle does not depend of my will. I therefore find myself paying a total of 136 instead of the 49 price initially planned. 86 extra was therefore charged to me in complete dishonesty! I find it unacceptable to be so dishonest and in view of the other negative reviews I do not understand why this agency is still open. For my part, I would like to inform you of denouncing your fraudulent maneuvers to the DGCCRF. Good day.

J ai ete victime d une escroquerie et d une malhonnetete de la part d un agent de cette agence ( je ne me rappelle plus du nom de cette homme, il a de la chance ) Dans un premier temps, je vous informe avoir souscrit un contrat de location qui stipule un montant de 49,26 . Je suis venu recuperer la voiture le vendredi 4 octobre a 00h15 au lieu de jeudi 3 octobre a 23h30 (heure initialement prevue) car mon vol a eu du retard, ce qui malheureusement ne depend pas de ma volonte. J ai recu un mail indiquant qu un montant de 25 me serait demande si je recuperais la voiture apres les horaires d ouverture de l agence a savoir (00h), ce que je comprends totalement. Une fois arrive a l agence, l agent me demande de payer 40 pour le retard. Je lui explique alors que j ai recu un mail dans lequel on m avait prevenu qu un montant de 25 me serait demande et non 40 . Il me repond tout simplement << non, c est 40 >> sans explication. Il voit mon incomprehension et me propose alors l assurance m expliquant qu avec celle-ci je ne payerai donc pas la rancon demandee concernant le retard et qu en termes de prix cela serait equivalent a 40 /50 pas plus donc tres avantageux pour moi. J accepte donc cela, moi qui pour votre information ne comptait prendre aucune assurance au depart et payer uniquement les 25 de retard. Par la suite, nous evoquons le boitier du telepeage il m explique que je n ai pas a m inquieter qu il a tout installe et active sans bien evidemment me parler du cout. Pour finir, il me demande de payer 186 correspondant d apres ses explications au depot de garantie pour l essence, les peages et l assurance, je trouve cela un peu cher mais il m explique qu une partie du montant me sera rendu si je n ai pris aucun peage et si le vehicule est rendu avec le plein d essence. Je lui ai donc encore une fois fait confiance. Je tiens egalement a preciser que l agent m a egalement parle en francais (vers la fin biensur apres avoir paye) ayant bien compris que c etait ma langue la plus utilisee dans laquelle je suis plus a l aise. Il a cependant parle portugais tout au long de la transaction en faisant expres d etre tres flou vagues et rapide dans ses explications ce qui m a dissuade de poser trop de questions.. un regret que j ai aujourd hui. Aujourd hui je constate que la facture comprend des montants dont je n ai pas ete explicitement informes a savoir : - l assurance a 71 TTC, pour rappel l agent m avait parler de 40 /50 pas plus, - L equipement telepeage a 6 , pour rappel l agent ne m a rien dit a ce sujet, - Le transfert en navette de l aeroport a l agence a 14 , encore une fois l agent ne m a rien dit a ce sujet, egalement j insiste sur le fait que l utilisation de la navette ne depend pas de ma volonte. Je trouve cela inadmissible d etre autant malhonnete et au vue des autres avis negatif je ne comprends pas que cette agence soit encore ouverte.
