SIXT in Mahon

DO NOT USE SIXT CAR RENTAL IN MAHON!!! This place is a SCAM! I purchased a car online for $200 and when I got there, they tried so hard to scam me and jack up the price in multiple ways, eventually bringing my total to $600! Way over the price I paid for online. I asked them to cancel the order and give me a refund. After some resistance, they finally agreed to refund me, but said they could not give me an invoice showing the refund, but said it would show up back on my card in 5 days max, but it never did. RED FLAG! They lied. They never processed the return. Not shocking. They were truly preying on tourists to the island and scamming people for more money. They did not have the car that I originally ordered and tried to force me to pay other fees not included in the original order. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I ended up going back the Hertz Car Rental at the airport and got a great car with insurance included for $190. They were honest and reliable. Stark contrast to SIXT.

Sarah was very helpful with the whole process of renting the car, provided appropriate options of vehicles for me to choose as well as went through how to operate. Wonderful customer service, will definitely use SIXT next time I visit Menorca.

Picked up a rental vehicle at Sixt Menorca. Free upgrade from BMW X1 to an X3. The vehicle was spotless felt brand new. The online process was simply an with no hidden surprises. Excellent sales agent with great communications skills made the process quick and pleasant.

I must say I have been a SIXT customer for many years now and I used their services in different countries. Everytime it went great but this time was an exception. It must be highlighted that SIXT agency in Menorca is about 4km from the airport. After I made the car booking, we received an email from SIXT before arrival to explain how to get to the location through their own shuttle. Our plane landed on Friday afternoon about 5pm, nothing unusual. We waited for the shuttle more than 50 minutes but it never showed up. We called the agency 3 times but they did not answer. We called SIXT support line which redirected us to the local agency which did not answer again. I was extremely disapointed with the no show and lack of communication. I had to book from a competitor in the airport losing a lot of money in addition of the wasted time and effort. Also during my stay in Menorca we heard similar stories from many travellers.

I recently had the pleasure of renting a car from Sixt in menorca airport, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lovely and incredibly helpful desk operator. Her friendly demeanor and professional attitude made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure I understood all the details of my rental agreement and patiently answered all my questions. The car itself was in perfect condition, clean, and ready to go. The rental rates were very competitive, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. I truly appreciate the outstanding service provided, especially by the wonderful desk operator who made the experience memorable. I highly recommend sixt to anyone in need of a reliable and customer-focused car rental service in Menorca. Thank you for a fantastic rental experience!

I wish I could give less than one star. We were completely lied to. After we brought the car back we had to pay double for every single day. I'll never go there again.

Great experience renting from this location. Got an almost new A3 for just under EUR50/day during the summer season - great value for money and crazy good fuel efficiency. Great service from Elisa when we picked up the car; returning it was a breeze too
