We rented a car from here on 04/10, and returned it on 5/10. On the 8/10, the company said the car was scratched, Sixt showed a picture and description of the scratch. The description and location of the scratch was identical to the description and location, given to us at the beginning of rental agreement, 4/10. Several emails were sent, pointing this mistake out , but no replies. Then on 21/10, another email was sent with another scratch, not previously mentioned and nearly 2 1/2weeks after us dropping if the car, Did they really not rent out the car in 2 1/2 weeks and did they expect us to take responsibility for this? We have send 15/16 emails, making our case and asked for a final written decision, so we can start legal proceedings, instead all we get is final bill payment and aggressive correspondence. Avoid this company at all costs.
Expensive Very complicated to get the vehicle out of the parking lote. Second Ticket didn't work and it was showing a total of 74EUR. I think the walk to the parking are should be guided by an agent.
I had a terrible experience with this company (not this location) but the company in Spain. I rented a car and I didn't pay for the insurance. A few days after I returned the car I got an email, saying that there was a scratch on the car, and that I had to pay EURO 300. I click to check the images they send, and it is clear it was not the same car. I found it really disrespectful that they try to take advantage of people like this. Where are the company's values? Tip, if you are not going to take the insurance please take pictures of the car when you return it, because they will surely try to take advantage of the situation.
The gentleman there helped me with my reservation and he was very polite and fast with the process. He was also very informative about the parking due to the category of the vehicle in the city of Madrid. Next time I go again to Madrid, I will go back to them (SIXT)
Always had great experience. But beware. No lights at all when you pick up car. So you cannot see damages. They will push for insurance. Car had no oil. No washer. Dents etc. try to go somewhere else and call your auto insurance and credit card company. Demand lights at Plaza de Espana Sixt area.
They were very good at pickup, helping get to the vehicle and on the road. The vehicle was good quality and what I expected. The drop off experience was not quite as good. No one met us at the dropoff and I wasn't sure what to do. I had to find someone to find out the proper drop off requirements. Otherwise I thought it was very good experience.
I rented new Alfa Romeo car from Plaza de Espana in Madrid on 13 August for 9 days. Employee Davor helped a lot to make the rental process easy and comfortable. The car was excellent during all the trip and returning back the car in Barcelona was easy.
Rented a car from Sixt Plaza de Espana for a road trip of 8 days. We booked thru rentalcars.com. We didn't get the exact car we requested but received a similar sized car. The agent at the counter was very helpful and assisted us to complete the rental agreement. On the day of the return we returned on time the agent who was on shift cleared us thru quick after inspecting the car. Check in and check out retuning step was also so quick and hassle free. Overall experience in renting a car with Sixt was good. Recommended.
