No v razgar sezona bez predvaritel'noi broni tol'ko v Europcar byli avto v nalichii. Po zavershenii arendy i peredache avtomobilia ia utochnila pro srok vozvrata depozita, mne otvetili 2-3 dnia. Ia podozhdala nedeliu. Nichego. Pozvonila, mne skazali, chto den'gi razblokirovany. Khotia u menia debetovaia karta. I menedzher moego banka skazal, chto dolzhna byt' operatsiia imenno vozvrata. Takzhe ia napisala neskol'ko pisem na elektronnuiu pochtu klientskogo servisa, no mne otvetili tol'ko odin raz i snova so slovami, chto moi depozit razblokirovan. Sotrudniki klientskogo servisa ne kompetentny. Na poslednee moe pis'mo s pros'boi otpravit' podtverzhdaiushchii dokument o <<razblokirovke>> depozita mne tak i ne otvetili. Znachit, nikakogo vozvrata i ne bylo. Proshu razobrat'sia s moei problemoi i vernut' mne moi depozit! *ia takzhe pol'zovalas' uslugami drugoi kompanii i oplachivala arendu avto etoi zhe kartoi. I vozvraty prikhodili ( tak kak eto ne blokirovka deneg na karte, a imenno <<pokupka>>. Poetomu prikhodit VOZVRAT)
From July 19 to July 26, 2024, I rented a KIA NIRO Hybrid at Terminal 1 and have still not received my fuel deposit back. I liked the excellent technical condition of the car and the service provided by the company's employees at the airport. That's all. The rent turned out to be very expensive compared to other companies. But at the height of the season, without prior reservation, only Europcar had cars in stock. Upon completion of the rental and handing over the car, I asked about the period for returning the deposit, they answered me 2-3 days. I waited a week. Nothing. I called and they told me that the money had been released. Although I have a debit card. And the manager of my bank said that there should be a return operation. I also wrote several letters to the customer service email, but they answered me only once and again with the words that my deposit was unblocked. The customer service staff are incompetent. My last letter with a request to send a confirmation document about "unblocking" the deposit was never answered. This means there was no return. Please sort out my problem and return my deposit to me! *I also used the services of another company and paid for car rental with the same card. And refunds came (since this is not blocking money on the card, but a "purchase". Therefore, a REFUND comes)
I made my booking via a third party company, Carjet, from the UK. I have done this frequently and had a good many bad experiences, but Europcar has been the best and I shall stick with this company. On this occasion, I booked a small car and the gentleman in Madrid Terminal 1, Kenny, recommended an upgrade, which I rejected. He also recommended additional insurance, which I had already covered with a top-up insurance via Carjet Again, I declined. There have been times where some rental companies have been awful in their approach to this additional insurance they want you to take - one so bad that I threatened to call the police! Kenny did his job, he tried to sell me these things, when I declined he accepted it politely and moved on - very much appreciated. We always video the car on collection, because some companies will 'find' scratches / dents in order to charge you more when you return the vehicle. After ten days of easy motoring, we returned the car to Barajas Terminal 1 where a gentleman called Bernie checked the car meticulously and found it to be all clear. This made the whole experience a really positive one. I recommend Europcar wholeheartedly.
Awful experience. The attendant was extremely unclear with the pricing and upcharged us, and lied about the final price given our upfront payment. Make sure you ALWAYS check the bill.

They try to hustle you with small scratches and dents. Other car companies have stopped caring about scratches smaller than 1-2 cm so this company is quite useless. I didnt make a scratch but the return guy insisted I had. Luckily i had a video showing that it was there on the day of rental start so i didnt have to pay, but if i hadnt made the vide8 they would have charged me.
It is my first time to rent a car and I chose europcar. I booked my reservation with check24 and pickup the car at Madrid airport. In my opinion the whole rental process is smooth and efficient. The staff are all friendly, the only regret is that I chose to upgrade and then pick a big SUV, it's really inconvenient to drive a big car in the center of Madrid, there is no way to find a suitable parking space, I had a scratch whilet parking but the whole repair process and price are reasonable, I will choose europcar again
A really bad experience with this specific europcar stand. This is what happened to me TWICE. First time I rented car here it was a completly destroyed vw golf. Scratches dents all over the place. When I delivered car back, they insisted that Out of 1000 scratches/dents, the one that was not listed was me... Second time and this is more SERIOUS one !!! I delivered the car. The guy checks car, points to some scratches and shuts up about it soon as I show pictures of how I had it given to me. Tells me no problem, everything ok. I sign paper that had nothing pointed out. Next day I receive email from them sayng that I had done damage to rim of wheel! Basically the guy added issues after I had signed the paper. I consider this a crime, and possibly a frequent scam.
