Excellent service, smooth and fast. It would be better if the company could guarantee a model of the car. I was struggling a bit with space and comfort, but in general, all went well.
As usual, the only problem was where to find office in train station (same thing in Attocha as in Brussels midi train station - or I am just not talented for that). After that everything went smoothly, from Attocha to Seville
DO NOT USE. Europcar is a world class disgrace! Hands down one of the worst and least professional car rental companies I have been a customer of. First and foremost, hidden fees like no other. Extremely poor customer support. We needed their help addressing a fine and they were just the epitome of uninterested. Then they charged us admin fees for days. When we finally resolved and paid the fine, they continued charging us admin fees without explaining why. Their customer support responses were robotic and to this day they still cannot resolve this issue... it's been 4 months. Please do yourself a favor and take you business to Sixt or Enterprise or Alamo because this was simply horrendous.
The people who work at Europcar a kind and competent. Lucia is excellent, as well as the gentleman that manages the returns. The site is currently a mess due to the construction at Atocha station; space is very limited so be aware. But it's still very convenient to rent there rather than at the aiport.
Scammers, The price they told us about is not the full price. They said the car renting is EUR120 per day For two days it's 240 But we paid EUR590
I am very grateful to the Europcar team. When I returned the vehicle, I forgot my phone inside the car and they helped me a lot. They located the car and the phone and returned it to me in a few minutes while I was waiting in their office at Puerta de Atocha, without me having to go back down to the parking area. Many thanks to everyone.
Good honest company. I rent a car from them several times. Always no problem.
Process takes too long for the poor employees trying to do their best. Even if you have checked in online you need to wait for hours. Savings in price are not worth the wait. I will avoid next time. This is a clear example of a bad operational process that goes against the employees and clients. Clearly management have never experienced the customer journey. To add to the chaos every time there is an issue is all hands on deck every resource goes to the help. So instead of three positions with three customers is one customer three employees. I want to repeat that this is not the local branch employees fault.
