Very rude and awkward pickup in Madrid. Person at desk forced me to send me itinerary while in Spain to her email address. Wouldn't give me the csr otherwise. Alamo already had my passport, drivers license and two credit cards. If this was a policy it should have been explained at time of reservation. What about my safety? Why send this information to someone's email directly. Very unprofessional and felt like I was stealing their car. Won't rent from them again.

Everything was going well until the dropoff. On the pickup they were slow because there was only a single person. Drop off was easy but got blasted with unreasonable fuel charges for missing 3 liters (charged over 30 euro). They don't make it clear and they use the computer to know exact tank state I can only use the gauge. The first guy during the pickup told me that if I over tank they will give me a voucher which sounds like just money lost so I wanted to be close to the initial amount (which was half the tank - they don't do full to full probably to make extra money like this)

Been renting cars from Alamo for fairly long now, they are good. But this experience in Madrid was off putting. They didn't respect my car, I had an SUV paid for, and they give me a hatchback clearly avoiding any discussions of refunds or discounts, they end up saying "you wait all day long if you want and if we have a SUV we give it to you" and top of that they sell me add-ons on additional price for this car. PS: I speak fluent Spanish and I spoke with them in proper Spanish

The worst car rental company, avoid at all cost The cheap price is a scam We've booked the car early and when we arrived the car booked is not there & they offer us a EV car with smaller capacity & very limited milage Take it or leave it atitude The que were also very long and we wait for one hour just to know that our car is not available and not option is given Not only me but a lot off people are having the same problem The worst experience ever

I reserved a car from one day before online. They give no car for my reservation time. Every person working in the office dad different things. They ignored me because I was a tourist and no speaking Spanish. I do not recommend to you.

I rented a car in Malaga and returned it to Estacion de Tren de Madrid Atocha. Stay away from these frauds. The good: getting the car in Malaga, the Alamo rep ensured that I got a bigger vehicle than what I reserved so that my family of 5 and our luggage fit inside. Upon returning the car in Madrid, the Alamo rep was very friendly and even drove me over to the train terminal. The car itself was new, spacious, and got great gas mileage. The bad: this is why I am giving a 1 star rating instead of 5. One day after the car was completely inspected when I returned it, I got an email from the Alamo Madrid branch manager named Veronica Andrea Gomez Fermin. She accused me of removing some kind of rear cargo tray from the car. I clearly told her there was absolutely nothing in the car that me or my family removed and there was never any cargo tray when we took possession of the car. She sent me another email stating that they were going to charge me for the missing cover. Veronica Andrea Gomez Fermin is very unscrupulous and corrupt. I would advise anyone renting from Alamo to take full videos of the exterior and interior of the rental prior to driving away from the lot to protect yourself from a devious branch manager like Veronica Gomez Fermin.

I had a great experience with Enterprise. I booked through a third party (Booking) and was a little afraid of having surprises. I was surprised, but in a good way. I was given a better car than I had booked. Process was quick in under 20 minutes. Staff was pleasant. Very little paperwork, not trying to sell me extra stuff. The agent who accompanied me to the car didn't perhaps speak good English but compensated by being nice and trying to accommodate me. I returned the car in another location in Seville, very quick process there as well, had my deposit back right away . Everything was made so easy, thank you.
