I recently visited Madrid Airport and while the facility itself is very clean and beautiful, my experience with immigration was terrible. During peak hours, there were hundreds of people waiting in line, but only half of the immigration booths were open. It was incredibly frustrating to see so many tourists being treated in such an ungrateful manner. I was disappointed with the lack of efficiency and organization in the immigration process, which left me feeling uneasy about my trip. Overall, I would not recommend Madrid Airport due to the unpleasant immigration experience. TIP: There are 2 Lines one for Transfer and one to stay in Madrid. Both are the same Immigration, but it has more priority the one for transfers.

A nightmare of an airport, avoid it whenever you can as an airport for connections unless you have 3 hours and you want to necessarily go through the entire airport passing passport control without preferences for whoever has a connection (lucky if you find less than 1000 people in line vs two officials in rush hour, perfectly adjusted). When you achieve it, you will have to go through a new baggage control with a new kilometer queue. We had 2 hours between one flight and another and by the skin of our teeth and everyone was running... Absolute chaos, the likes of which had never been seen before and very poorly signposted so the queues were double, having seen many passengers having to get to the end when they had been 1 hour late. queue... Very good image of this airport.

Una pesadilla de aeropuerto, Evitad siempre que podais como aeropuerto para conexiones salvo que tengais 3H y os apetezca recorrer obligatoriamente el aeropuerto entero pasando el control de pasaporte sin preferencias para quien tiene conexion (suerte si encontrais menos de 1000 personas de cola vs dos funcionarios en hora punta, perfectamente ajustado) . Cuando lo consigais os tocara un nuevo control de equipaje con Nueva cola kilometrica. Teniamos 2h entre un vuelo y otro y por los pelos y todo el mundo corriendo.. Un caos absoluto, lo nunca visto y muy mal senalizado por lo que las colas son dobles habiendo visto a muchos pasajeros tener que ponerse al final cuando llevaba 1h de cola... Muy buena imagen la de este aeropuerto.
