It was a horrible experience to hire a car here. We booked a car and full-covered insurance through Trip.com. The staff, Arian surely said we didn't pay for the insurance. So, we were so embarrassed that we paid for it. Later, we checked it and it was a lie. We had an insurance. She didn't even explained the detail and condition of the car. We kept asking the refund for the insurance paid twice for the same option. Sixt refused refund. So, be careful when you hire a car from Sixt. I am sure the company uses this dirty way as a kind of sales marketing.
The location at the airport is ideal and easy to get to, the Sixt staff at the desk (she was alone at that time) was excellent and friendly, and upon our return of the vehicle (before they opened) was seamless...too seamless, as my wife inadvertently locked her new purse inside the vehicle with some significant personal effects. We left notes for the staff and called the help lines...who indicated it was up to the staff if they would send this item or not. (Luckily we had her passport)...and so when I landed at our connection, I returned the phone call from their Sixt BIO staff, and she informed me that they would gladly send the item to us for free if I simply responded to their email with my mailing address. Guess what: 1 week later, the purse and ALL of its contents arrived safely! This was an AMAZING act of great service, and certainly was above and beyond. Great job by their entire staff, and I hope they enjoyed the Peligrino's we left for each of them. I WILL definitely rent from them again!
Unfortunately an unpleasant experience at this location. TLDR: They tried to accuse us on damage that was already there, despite us having full insurance by Sixt. Please read other reviews, it looks like they tried to do the same to other people. We reserved a BMW X5 (or similar) for 9 days with full insurance from Sixt. On arrival (on a Saturday) we were told that they only rent SUVs for up to 7 days and offered a refund. We were not interested in a refund and were offered a station wagon (Audi A6). We accepted that since we didn't have much choice and were promised a refund the next working day. We were confirmed we have full insurance from Sixt, and were not asked to review the car's condition, were not provided any form to do that and were confirmed by the person at the counter that we don't need to do any of that. We noticed a scratch on the fender by the passenger door and took off. After we returned home, there has been no refund for the change in vehicle class, and we had to call Sixt multiple times for a refund that was half of what we estimated was appropriate based on our research on their prices. In addition, their service department noticed the scratch (unsure how they didn't notice it before they rented us the vehicle) and have been harassing us with messages, despite the fact that the vehicle was fully insured by Sixt. We would just be very careful about this location if we would be to use them again: - Check ahead of time that they can actually fulfill the reservation and don't have weird restrictions - Take pictures of the vehicle even if you are fully insured by Sixt - Being Sixt Platinum doesn't seem to matter much for these folks or the corporate folks we've been dealing with
The staffs at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Eventhough we do not have booking in advance, she helped us to find and book the car. Everything was very smooth and fast. Returning the car was very easy. Highly recommended!

In all my years of renting cars; I have never ever been walked to my car. To add that Nerea also checked that the car's default language is English (which I didn't ask) which I always struggle with setting in the airport. Nerea clearly understands the needs of customers and clearly has gone above and beyond what I could I imagined Thank you Nerea, I highlighly recommend renting cars from there.
