Great experience! Car had some scratches but worked fine. Smooth airport pick-up shuttle. Friendly and polite staff. Larissa helped me very well with the checkout. Overall very satisfied, left Portugal with a smile!
Unfortunately had a really bad experience here. First the seller trie to 'upgrade' our car to a diesel and have me pay extra for that, later it turned out he actually only had the diesel, so would have to give that one anyway. Moreover, he only had one car in the 'category' that I booked. I purposely rented a larger car because of luggage, and he gave me a fiat 500 saying it's in the same category. It was the only car he had available, he said. Except, I booked a VW t-cross or similar, which is half a meter longer. He did have two of those exact cars, but one was being sold, and the other was automatic which was reason for him to charge an extra 170EUR for it. For the exact car that I had already payed for... But automatic. They refused to think with us, were unable to offer anything the size of that I booked, tried to take a lot of extra money out of me several times. Terrible costumer service and apparently not many cars either. Avoid this company!
It was one of the most disappointing experiences from car rentals in Lisbon. The customer service was horrible, and most of the office staff was rude and unwilling to provide much explanation and advice/help. Made the reservation and payment using their official website. When arriving at their office, even showing their email saying that all was already paid, they didn't have it in their system. Lots of hidden costs, and their recommendation was to book through a broker next time. Their shuttle service from/to the airport was always late. If you are in a rush to leave the airport or to catch your plane (as I was), expect at least 30 min of waiting time + the crew lying that the shuttle will be there in 5 min (every 5 min). The car itself was good, but it was interesting to learn that their FULL coverage didn't include interiors. I am definitely avoiding this company for the next occasion.
Not worthy of 1 star. The cars are not on site, it's a 20 minute drive from Faro airport. Expect to wait in the shelter-less car park for anything around 45 minutes. The rental and return procedure takes forever, but the biggest comment has to be the apparent damage not recorded before you take it. They pick out the obvious damage, and send you off. When you return it l, they bill you PS140 for a less obvious defect. On this occasion, I drove from there to the hotel and back with no issues. As I left to return on the transport to Faro, another couple were suffering the same treatment. This delayed the minibus, meaning the folks waiting at Faro were cooking in the 30 degree heat. I made a point of selecting a toll-free route and I'm fully expecting to not get the deposit back. The service seems inconsistent. I had an overweight woman come and screw me over taking about 20 minutes to inspect the car whereas, the guy who came after me had much less trouble. My advice, take an Uber. Much cheaper than I expected.
The Mercedes GLB we were given had a disconnected proximity sensor on the front bumper. It warning was beeping even when we were maneuvering to get out of their car park, but at the time I just assumed it was over-sensitive sensors. It started again at our first stop about two hours into our trip to the Algarve. We called and just told us to return it - which is obviously not an option when they have no stations anywhere near our vacation itinerary. We had to endure the beeping and sudden automatic braking for two weeks. What made it much worse was the obstinate, uncaring, mocking attitude of the lady of the Tangerine center when we returned it in Lisbon. We tried to explain it was like that when we picked it up and it should have been their responsible to come and exchange the car. I've never seen such rude and insensitive behaviour. I will never use them again.
Good value for money. We booked this through a 3rd party including insurance. Our car was new and with Android Auto. No issues with deposit. Had to ask for toll specifications to check invoices but they were correct. Pickup was a bit slow but returning was very quick.
We rented a car for a trip around Portugal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We received the car in less than 10 minutes. Returning it was also easy and took about 5 minutes. The car was washed and sparkled inside. I can only recommend it.
The car had a lot of scratches and wheel rash. The paperwork containing damages did not list anything. When I mentioned this to him, he just smiled and said take pictures. When returning I had to show the pictures and explain everything, again. Just a blatant attempt at cheating - if I had not noticed and taken pics, they would just charged me. Bad business practice. A case of "Buyer Beware". Car itself was good and the return process was easy and the return agent was good.
