We got the car that was promised in a perfect condition. Core service was good. I give 2 stars because the service around pickup and return was as unfriendly as it can probably be. Customers were more treated like animals than human beings. Cicar should work on the customer service education of its employees in the parking lot. One of a couple of examples that happened: Cicar staff shouted at a disabled grandpa in a wheelchair because he was sitting a bit in the way. Better idea would have been to help that man instead of shouting at him. Other clients and we did that in the end. My review does not include cicar staff in the terminal making the rental contracts. They were super friendly.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I've been waiting 3 days for this branch to re-open. I went today to hire a car, the gentleman in front of me got a car without an issue and I got refused a car because I am female. I have 15 years no claims and have hired a car for the last 8 years whilst being away. The member of staffs attitude was absolutely disgusting. I would avoid this place at all costs! If anyone knows of any good car rentals in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, please let me know!

We rented a car online from 7:30AM and did not get ANY notification that it's not possible get the car before their regular opening hours. It cannot be that difficult to send customers a warning, that the rental is only possible within the opening hours. If I am able to enter an earlier time online I also expect someone to be there and hand out the car keys. Very disappointing.

I wish I could join the other good reviews but this place (despite being recommended) made our trip quite difficult. On Monday we asked about the availability of the cars and we were told that there were plenty of them available. That reassured us that we didn't need to book in advance and two days later we came to get a car in person because we still had some questions about one of them. Unfortunately we were told that they were fully booked and had no cars available. I have no idea what happened between those two days but if it weren't for another car rental place, our plans would be ruined. Better not trust what the employees tell you in person and always book with plenty of time in advance! We definitely learned our lesson.

I am talking about my own experience, a few days ago I had rented a Peugeot 3008 from Maspalomas and we went to Las Palmas with it, in Las Palmas the car gave error that themprature was high and you should stop immediately. In my call with Cicar, they said that they will help you at our office in Las Palmas, when I went there, they were know about it and the car be repaired. Professional and very happy group. Thanks for everything.

Great and fast service!! We asked if we could get the reserved car already (today) one day earlyer as planed. It was no problem and after paying we could ride out of the town emediatly. Thank you for the great work and help ouf our issue! I realy recommend that place! Ps.: it is smart to rent a small car (we got a Fiat 500), you will recognize it latest, after 5 meters you have left the main roads.

I've rented a group A car (Fiat 500L) for 8 days from the airport and the services offered were excellent. I've booked the car online and the hiring at the airport went very smooth. After you pay the rental fee with a card (both debit and credit card are accepted), you'll get the car keys and you can pick it from just across the airport. There is no extra fee involved (not even a deposit is required). You need to pay only the rental fee that's displayed during the online booking. This was one of my best experience with a car rental company and I totally recommend it.

We picked up the car at the airport 2024.11.23. Saturday evening. There were 3 people in front of us so we got the keys in 7 mins. Car was in good condition. Bring some USB cables if you want to charge your phone. We returned the car to the CICAR Las Palmas office. Important, you have to give back the car in the Thomas Miller parking house 3rd Floor. I highly recommend CICAR!!

Cicar at the Gran Canaria airport is a disaster, more than 3 hours of waiting!!! Absolutely not recommended. First of all, the opening hours reported by Google are incorrect; in reality they work all day, but no one in the office bothered to change the information by inserting the correct times. I had made an online reservation with car collection at 1pm at the central office in Las Palmas; Due to an unexpected delay I am unable to collect it in time. I therefore search for contact information via Google which, however, indicates the office as closed. I therefore present myself directly and personally at 4pm (which, again according to Google, would be the afternoon reopening time); at this point I hear the guy at the reception tell me that the reservation has been canceled because I didnt collect it by 1pm. I point out that I had a setback and that I only went there at 4pm, because I relied on the times indicated by their Google page. He himself states that they are wrong and that in reality they remain open all day from 9am to 7pm; I point out to him that it would be appropriate to modify them so as not to mislead other people. The worst thing was that my reservation was canceled without me being notified, even though they had my contact information.

Not recommended. In short, it was a complete disaster and our day out was over. We had booked a car with confirmation at the cruise terminal. After asking ethical questions and calling the hotline, we found the station. There was no signage and the staff at the terminal were already annoyed by all the people who asked. When we arrived at the station there were no cars and we called the hotline again and were sent to the city center. There was a huge queue waiting for us and I found out that they had no cars left. They were gradually picked up from the airport. 40 minutes waiting time each time. But none of the staff even told us about the queue. So I waited 2 hours only to be told to wait another hour at the counter. Everyone in the queue had reservations and then you have to plan for something like that.

Nach ethischen rum fragen und mit der Hotline telefonieren haben wir die Station gefunden. Es gab keine Beschilderung und das Personal am Terminal war auch schon von den ganzen Personen die nachgefragt hatten genervt. An der Station angekommen gab es keine Autos und mit erneutem Anruf bei der Hotline wurden wir in die Innenstadt geschickt. Dort wurden wir von einer riesen Warteschlange erwartet und es stellte ich raus dass die keine Autos mehr hatten. Die wurden nach und nach vom Flughafen geholt. Jeweils 40 Minuten Wartezeit. Hat aber auch keiner vom Personal mal Bescheid gesagt in die Warteschlange. Also 2 Stunden gewartet um dann gesagt zu bekommen am Schalter nochmal eine Stunde warten. Alle in der Warteschlange hatten reserviert und dann muss man sowas einplanen.

I then got a great car about 2 streets away directly and easily from Tirma. I would recommend those!

Auf Nachfrage sagte der Angestellte, dass die Firma mehr Reservierung annimmt als Autos zur Verfugung stehen. Wer auf Glucksspiel steht, der kann hier also gerne reservieren . Ich habe dann ca. 2 Strassen weiter direkt und unkompliziert bei der Firma Tirma ein tolles Auto bekommen. Die wurde ich empfehlen!

One star is already too much. We had booked a car six months in advance. When we arrived at the office in Las Palmas there was a queue of people waiting for us. All customers had reserved cars, but no rental cars were available. The agency was completely overbooked. Bordering on fraud since the rent was paid in advance. According to Cicars, no information was available as to when vehicles would be available again. We then booked with a neighboring vehicle rental company and received a vehicle immediately.
