We got the car that was promised in a perfect condition. Core service was good. I give 2 stars because the service around pickup and return was as unfriendly as it can probably be. Customers were more treated like animals than human beings. Cicar should work on the customer service education of its employees in the parking lot. One of a couple of examples that happened: Cicar staff shouted at a disabled grandpa in a wheelchair because he was sitting a bit in the way. Better idea would have been to help that man instead of shouting at him. Other clients and we did that in the end. My review does not include cicar staff in the terminal making the rental contracts. They were super friendly.
If I could give 0 stars, I would! I've been waiting 3 days for this branch to re-open. I went today to hire a car, the gentleman in front of me got a car without an issue and I got refused a car because I am female. I have 15 years no claims and have hired a car for the last 8 years whilst being away. The member of staffs attitude was absolutely disgusting. I would avoid this place at all costs! If anyone knows of any good car rentals in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, please let me know!
We had a confirmation for a car for 11AM and there was no car when we arrived. No call no emails to notify us so we waited there for hours. BE MORE PROFESSIONAL.
We rented a car online from 7:30AM and did not get ANY notification that it's not possible get the car before their regular opening hours. It cannot be that difficult to send customers a warning, that the rental is only possible within the opening hours. If I am able to enter an earlier time online I also expect someone to be there and hand out the car keys. Very disappointing.
I wish I could join the other good reviews but this place (despite being recommended) made our trip quite difficult. On Monday we asked about the availability of the cars and we were told that there were plenty of them available. That reassured us that we didn't need to book in advance and two days later we came to get a car in person because we still had some questions about one of them. Unfortunately we were told that they were fully booked and had no cars available. I have no idea what happened between those two days but if it weren't for another car rental place, our plans would be ruined. Better not trust what the employees tell you in person and always book with plenty of time in advance! We definitely learned our lesson.
I am talking about my own experience, a few days ago I had rented a Peugeot 3008 from Maspalomas and we went to Las Palmas with it, in Las Palmas the car gave error that themprature was high and you should stop immediately. In my call with Cicar, they said that they will help you at our office in Las Palmas, when I went there, they were know about it and the car be repaired. Professional and very happy group. Thanks for everything.
Great and fast service!! We asked if we could get the reserved car already (today) one day earlyer as planed. It was no problem and after paying we could ride out of the town emediatly. Thank you for the great work and help ouf our issue! I realy recommend that place! Ps.: it is smart to rent a small car (we got a Fiat 500), you will recognize it latest, after 5 meters you have left the main roads.
I've rented a group A car (Fiat 500L) for 8 days from the airport and the services offered were excellent. I've booked the car online and the hiring at the airport went very smooth. After you pay the rental fee with a card (both debit and credit card are accepted), you'll get the car keys and you can pick it from just across the airport. There is no extra fee involved (not even a deposit is required). You need to pay only the rental fee that's displayed during the online booking. This was one of my best experience with a car rental company and I totally recommend it.
