I had a problem with my car and they were very fast to check. They gave me a replacement immediately and I was ready to go as soon as possible. Very good customer service, Cicar is always very attentive! I always rent with them.
Excellent. Pros: No insurance fee, upsells or anything. Fully comprehensive insurance included. No deposit or credit card required. Not the cheapest (especially if you go in on the day), but when you consider that some other rental companies will charge you for excess protection and all extras! Had a lovely Seat small SUV complete with sat nav, android auto/apple car play, air con, and what a fantastic car to drive around the island. Only rule is that you have to return with the same amount of fuel. Cons: None :)

Fantastic. Even though we didn't have the car we wanted due to overbooking they did everything in their hands to give us the best option. We really enjoyed.
Ignoring the poor behaviour by one particular staff, overall experience wasn't bad. Person (a man) dealing on the desk had some attitude problem (not language problem), denied any car availability at all for our needs. We tried booking it via phone, got the reference number, and got car next morning from very same desk via a nice lady. Car was neat a clean and gave very good average in 3 days of booking. Return was not a good experience either as the same man was on the counter and wasn't paying attention to what we were trying to say. We asked for a day of extension to keep it and first he say he need car back because he has a booking and in few moment he agreed to extend the same car (completely surprised us). Finally we return the car back.
I booked a Peugeot 2008 Auto with Cicar Costa Teguise in February 2024 and the price was very good considering they offer full coverage and 2 drivers. I had booked to have the car dropped at my hotel at 9am of said day. At 9am a employee arrived and said I needed to come with him to the office. Upon arriving to the office it was quite a quick process with just a licence check and a signature. I was given a DS7 which I think was actually a upgrade over the 2008 which was great. The car though had quite a few scrapes and dents which I was surprised by and pointed out to them and they just said "don't worry you are covered with insurance". After driving back to my hotel and inspecting the car further I realised the both front tyres were almost flat and so I paid out my own pocked to pump them up at a fuel station as I didn't want to get stuck somewhere with a flat tyre. I also discovered that there was no screen wash in the car either. Rather disappointing. The car itself was quite high tech and didn't miss a beat. It was great and comfortably carried around the family with no issues at all. Overall it was okay, just seems like they don't check or maintain the cars before sending out to the next person. If I didn't have to pump the tyres up and put screen wash in myself I would have given 4 stars.
Booked online via CABRERA MEDINA website took a great deal. Ordered for delivery but called early morning and offered me collection from office 10 mins walk and have extra few hours so deffo no problem for us. They upgraded the car (Astra to Grand-land) and I was in and out in 5 mins. Great car, great price and service.... non of your usual insurance up selling nonsense, and driving on the island is fun and easy. No stress! The car was clean and pretty new. Grab a map and download the free audio guides. It's like being on your own coach tour. Brilliant. Would deffo use again when we come back.
We have hired two cars from here and have mixed feelings. As others have said they are very "efficient" walk in and your driving off in 10 minutes. The problem with that is you don't get told if you have insurance, no details about the car, not even shown where it is or how to operate it. EG, how do you drop the roof on a convertible; is it a automatic or manual. Just nothing! The first car we had we had little to dispute other than it was a little dirty. The second RED CAR (REGISTRATION: 3830KMT) however, entirely different story. - Clutch cooked as it was slipping going up hills - Tires where illegal (rears almost bald) - The interior was really dirty, months of dirt! - Rear view mirror was smashed and destroyed. - USB port was completely broken (couldn't charge and our phones died using sat nav) - none of the seatbelts would not retract Upon returning the car and staying we where dissatisfied, the chap (pictured in a shirt) basically asked "Is the tank full?" and as it was told us to get lost. Appalling customer service.
