We did not rent a car. We were passing by.
VORSICHT ! Es gibt am Kreuzfahrthafen in Las Palmas de GC keine BUDGET-Station. Die Reservierungen von Budget werden uber AVIS abgewickelt. Deren Station im Kreuzfahrthafen ist aber anscheinend dauerhaft geschlossen und man wird auf eine Adresse im Industrieviertel, die man nur mit einem Taxi erreichen kann, verwiesen. Das Taxigeld von ca. 10,- EUR bekam ich zum Gluck aber erstattet. Den Wagen den wir bekamen, war ziemlich dreckig (viele viele Hundehaare, Fussspuren etc.). Den einen Stern gibt es nur, weil wir den Wagen im Parkhaus im Kreuzfahrtterminal wieder abgeben konnten. FAZIT: Nie wieder !!!!
CAUTION ! There is no BUDGET station at the cruise port in Las Palmas de GC. Budget reservations are processed via AVIS. However, their station in the cruise port is apparently permanently closed and you are directed to an address in the industrial district that you can only reach by taxi. Luckily I got the taxi fee of around EUR10 refunded. The car we got was pretty dirty (lots of dog hair, footprints, etc.). We only get one star because we were able to return the car to the parking garage in the cruise terminal. CONCLUSION: Never again!!!!
Estafadores. Letra pequena. Politica recargo gasolina. Page mas por "otros gastos" no reflejados en el momento de la contratacion que por el coche. Me obligan a pagar dos conductores pero yo no puedo conducir porque tengo caducado carnet. Le digo que ponga solo a mi marido y me dice que no porque la reserva esta a mi nombre. Seguro por aqui, extra gasolina por alla, silla nina que seleccione en reserva pero no estaba.... Lo dicho mas gastos ocultos q coche.
Scammers. Small letter. Gasoline surcharge policy. Page more for "other expenses" not reflected at the time of contracting than for the car. They force me to pay for two drivers but I can't drive because my license has expired. I tell him to put only my husband and he says no because the reservation is in my name. Insurance here, extra gas there, child seat that I selected in reserve but it wasn't there.... As I said, more hidden expenses than a car.
DO NOT USE BUDGET/AVIS! When I got the car I immediately noticed damages that was not shown on me lease. The employee in charge at the parking lot added these damages to my lease and signed it. Same day as I returned the car, my credit card was charged approx 300 euro for these damages. BUDGET/AVIS does not respond to my complaint.......
This rental car company (same company as Avis), is purposely trying to scam you by charging for fuel while the tank in returned complety full. Maybe a legitimate error was my first reaction but when calling the service number, you know you are scammed. When confronting the company with the additional charge they come up with a lot of reason not te return the paid amount. We are able to proove that we drove less than 100 kilometres and showed the transaction of the bank. Never again!
They told us we had to return the car with a full tank and hand over the receipt to prove we filled it. We followed the instructions but now they charge us for a full tank and ask for the receipt to prove that it was full. They will not accept the creditcard transcript from the gas station as proof. And we don't have a receipt because we hand it over when returning the car. Watch out with these guys! I strongly recommend to rent a car at an other company.
dont rent car at budget!!! you will loose your money!! I RENT A CAR WITH THEM.. but i saw the thanks was not full.. it was about 3/4.. i told it immediately at the woman in the parking and she told me tha i will ger a refound afther my holiday.. i toke back the can at the airport with full thank!! and afther 20 days they stolen 40 euros on my credit card for the fuel... so, i lost 40 euros, i lost a 1/4 of fuel from the car bacause of initial thank.. so..i will never rent again with this disgusting company! do not be enchanted by the very competitive price !!
