AVOID, AVOID,AVOID They improve...nothing even are jumping at every negative review. I m already 40 min waiting and will take another 1 hour the way the staff is moving. Just 2 slow ladies at the desk for tens of clients, taking time , slow, slow. First and last time will rent with them, too slow, too far away from airport, i paid s taxi cause their bus was not coming for long time.
I don't understand the negative reviews. From my experience, everything was perfect. Pick-up from the airport within 20 minutes. Of course, you have to wait inside until they take care of you - 15 minutes in line. Within 10 minutes I had the keys in my hands and was leaving. When returning the car to the "Drop-off" we checked the car with the employees. I showed the fuel-invoice. The deposit was returned to my account within 10 minutes! Only 10 minutes! The deposit for fuel came the next day. Simply perfect! Thanks for a nice holiday
Although they don't tell you to take videos and pictures of the car when you pick it up every little mark inside and outside the car otherwise they will charge you for it, luckily we took a video of the marks so they couldn't charge us but they were ready to make us pay for it if we hadn't had the evidence of it already being there and when we told them we had a video they didn't even ask to see the video which tells me they knew those marks were there. Even if you buy the insurance online they try to make you buy more insurance when you get there at EUR25 a day or EUR1500 deposit, you also have to leave a fuel deposit of EUR100. Also the car isn't available at the airport you have to get on a small minibus to get to the car dealership then wait hours for your car we waited nearly 2hrs for our car and the minibus pickup location wasn't clear so we had to get a taxi to the dealership which was EUR12. I wouldn't use this company again very shady.
We received a new car along with a complimentary upgrade to a higher class. Since the car rental office is not located at the airport, you'll need to use the Record Go shuttle to reach their office nearby. The process for both pickup and drop-off was smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend opting for full insurance and choosing a car with automatic transmission. Given the challenging driving conditions, such as mountainous roads and heavy traffic, an automatic transmission is essential for a more comfortable experience.
*AVOID* - PLENTY OF OTHER RENTAL CAR COMPANIES IN GRAN CANARIA SO JUST GO WITH ANOTHER ONE (THIS ONE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT AND THEREFORE IS NOT CONVENIENT AT ALL). MAY BE CHEAPER THAN OTHER RENTAL COMPANIES BUT 100% WORTH PAYING SLIGHTLY MORE TO BE NEXT TO THE AIRPORT TERMINAL. I WAS CHARGED FOR A WIPER BLADE COMING OFF WHILE DRIVING, WHEN CLEARLY THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED BY THE RENTAL COMPANY. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND BRINGS INTO QUESTION THE STANDARD OF CHECKS ON THE VEHICLES PRIOR TO RENTAL. PLEASE CHECK YOUR VEHICLES CAREFULLY. With that said, the front of house staff are very helpful and friendly - particular shout-out to Edgar whose customer service skills are excellent. Just a shame the policies of the company are so disappointing...
I had a very bad experience with Record Go. They advertise good prices, but they will get their money in other ways. Therefore, I warn everyone against leasing a car through them. The first car I was given had a lot of dents and scratches. After driving for a short time, it indicated that one of the tires was low on air. I went to fill it up, but shortly after, the tire was flat again. The next day, I drove to Record Go, and they acknowledged the problem and replaced the car with a new one. This car, like the previous one, was covered with scratches and small dents. When I returned the car, they told me that there were two small new scratches. These scratches were already there and are minimal, as you can see from the picture (less than 0.5 cm). They insist that the scratches are new. I took a video of the car when I received it, but since they store the car in an underground parking lot with minimal lighting, it's impossible to see small details. Now, Record Go has decided to take my EUR900 deposit because of this. I DO NOT recommend Record Go.
There should be a notice outside SPAR that this is where you get picked up. A lot of confusion! The wait when at Record Go was terrible - nearly two hours. All the people in front of us came back after getting their cars as there was something wrong with all of them eg no oil, air con didn't work, given car they didn't order etc. There were two young women having to do everything, yet several empty counters! These women were calm and friendly but must have been totally overwhelmed. It was 10.30pm before we got our car and it wasn't the one we ordered! We were so desperate after two hours we took it but it's not good enough. The car so far has been fine but we are dreading returning it if the service is going to be this under staffed.
Really good experience. collection from airport easy. Staff really friendly. Booked an mg. Within a mile the sat nav screen froze. drove back , was given an upgrade on the car we had booked as apology. staff worked quickly to get us a new car asap. Drop off very easy. Really good experience and great prices.
