Hired a car for 11 weeks and got picked up and dropped off at airport. No problems at all , would use again

I recently used Hire Cars Costa Blanca and dealt with Steven the owner, and the service was 10 out of 10. For someone who hires cars around Europe and in the US I found Hire Cars Costa Blanca to so hassle free and straight forward. From the moment i emailed looking for a car i got the reply and then met Steven when i landed into Alicante. I would highly recommend Steven and Hire Cars Costa Blanca and avoid the others who make life so so complicated. Thank you Steven for your help and making our trip so hassle free. I thought I had done my homework and hired a car from a company that "provides a top-notch service". Their Facebook pages shows pictures of good quality cars. How wrong I was! I booked an automatic Ford Focus 9 months in advance of my visit and paid 100 euro deposit. Communication was hit and miss, quite often my messages/phone calls were not answered. On the Friday before my visit I message to check everything was ok to be told "all good at our end". Following pick up from the airport I paid the remaining balance. The car was handed over to me, then I was informed that the air conditioning was not working but the part had been order and to bear with him for a couple of days. I trusted what I was being told - BIG MISTAKE. After a couple of days I started chasing the part to be told it was still on order and not arrived. In the end I was fobbed off and told the mechanic had my telephone number and would contact me as soon as the part arrived. I asked for a replacement car but there was none any available. I asked for a car to be sourced from an alternative supplier, the answer was no. At this point I decided to start using the car to visit local beaches, however the first time using the vehicle, the engine management light came on. This was reported, for me to be told that the car had some issues but the mechanic could not find anything wrong. For safety reasons we therefore did not use the car. The car was handed back after 11 days (still with no air conditioning and the engine management light on). At this point I was informed that the part had been on order for over a week before I arrived. I was therefore LIED to when I had checked if everything was ok and hired a vehicle that was not fit for purpose. In hindsight, I should have refused the vehicle but I trusted what I was being told. We were not able to do any of the visits that we wanted to do. PLEASE BE CAREFUL, THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

gave us a working car fair enough but didn't have air conditioning, said it would have the part in within 2-3 days and a mechanic n the heat it was a struggle to drive and very unpleasant didn't even get to drive it that often

Hired a Corsa from Steve for a week. Excellent service. Really friendly guy and nothing seems to much trouble. Car dropped off and collected from our apartment. Tidy car. Good Air Con. No credit card required and no silly excess costs. What Steve quoted was what we paid. Will use again without hesitation.

We hired a car for about 2 weeks during the Christmas holidays. It was quite last minute but Steve was very helpful. We were even able to prolong the rental without any troubles. Happy with the service and communication. We've had no issues with the car .

We hired a Ford Focus estate from Steve for two weeks in August. The car was in great condition. Steve offered a pick up and drop off service from Alicante airport which saved us the taxi fare each way. Fully inclusive insurance included and the handover only took 5 minutes. Great communication. Steve always replies to messages and text in good time. All round stress free, great value and really nice guy! We're already planning our next hire from Steve in October. *Sorry I don't have a better pic of the car.
