Wir waren im Hotel Estival Park und wollten, animiert von der ausgestellten Werbung, bei XCD ein Auto mieten. Das ganze Gesprach fand am Telefon statt und die Mitarbeiterin konnte nur recht schlecht Englisch. Wir konnten uns dann am Ende doch noch verstandigen, allerdings ein Auto in zwei Stunden bereitstellen ging dann nicht, wir mussten 6 Stunden warten. Klar, so ein Auto muss gereinigt werden und zum Hotel gebracht werden. Den Personalausweis und Fuhrerschein sollten wir als Foto per Whatsapp schicken, das kennen wir so gar nictht. Dazu noch die Kreditkartennummer nebst Ablaufdatum. Alles per Whatsapp. Ebenfalls per Whatsapp wurde dann eine halbe Stunde vorher noch nach einer Mailadresse gefragt, und 5 Minuten vor Mietbeginn dann eine Nachricht, dass das Auto jetzt gebracht wird. Die Dame die das Auto gebracht hat, hatte es recht eilig und war in der englischen Sprache auch nicht richtig fit. Nachdem wir um das Auto gegangen waren um die Schaden zu dokumentieren - und davon gab es eine ganze Menge - sollte ich den Vertrag unterschreiben. Auf die Frage wo denn meine Kopie des Vertrages sei, wurde mir gesagt, die ware per Mail an mich geschickt worden. Da dies nicht der Fall war, bat ich um eine Kopie und die Mitarbeiterin versprach den Vertrag sofort nach ihrem Eintreffen im Buro erneut per Mail zu senden. (ist bis heute nicht bei mir angekommen) Ich machte also noch schnell ein Foto von dem Vertrag, unterschrieb, und die Dame war weg. Als wir in das Auto einstiegen wurden wir von einem unangenehmen Geruch begrusst. Im hinteren Sitzraum lagen noch Chipskrumel und im Allgemeinen war das Auto innen nicht gereinigt worden, aussen im ubrigen auch nicht. Als unsere Mietdauer dann zu Ende war, fuhren wir tanken und merkten, dass das Auto vorher nicht wirklich voll war, obwohl die Tanknadel das angezeigt hatte. Als wir das Auto ubernahmen, rechnete der Bordcomputer eine Reichweite von 540 Kilometern, als ich getankt hatte, waren es 640 Kilometer. Das Auto in der Strasse vor dem Hotel abgestellt, Foto vom Parkplatz gemacht und wieder per Whatsapp an XCD gesendet, Schlussel an der Rezeption abgegeben, Fertig. Fazit: Recht teurer Mietpreis, dreckiges Auto, nicht wirklich voll getankt und fur uns eher unubliche Praktiken beim kontrollieren der Papiere. Alles in Allem werden wir nachstes Jahr woanders mieten.
We were at the Hotel Estival Park and wanted to rent a car from XCD, encouraged by the advertising on display. The entire conversation took place on the phone and the employee spoke English very poorly. In the end we were able to communicate, but it wasn't possible to get a car ready in two hours, we had to wait 6 hours. Of course, a car like this has to be cleaned and taken to the hotel. We should send the ID card and driver's license as a photo via Whatsapp, we don't know that at all. Plus the credit card number and expiry date. Everything via Whatsapp. Half an hour beforehand, we also asked for an email address via Whatsapp, and then 5 minutes before the start of the rental, we received a message that the car would now be delivered. The lady who brought the car was in a hurry and didn't really speak English. After we walked around the car to document the damage - and there was a lot of it - I was supposed to sign the contract. When I asked where my copy of the contract was, I was told it had been sent to me by email. Since this was not the case, I asked for a copy and the employee promised to resend the contract by email as soon as she arrived at the office. (I still haven't received it today) So I quickly took a photo of the contract, signed it, and the lady was gone. When we got into the car we were greeted by an unpleasant smell. There were still chip crumbs in the rear seat area and in general the inside of the car had not been cleaned, nor had the outside. When our rental period was over, we drove to get gas and noticed that the car wasn't really full, even though the fuel needle had indicated that. When we took over the car, the on-board computer calculated a range of 540 kilometers; when I filled up, it was 640 kilometers. Parked the car on the street in front of the hotel, took a photo of the parking lot and sent it again via Whatsapp to XCD, handed the key over to reception, done. Conclusion: Quite expensive rental price, dirty car, not really full tank and rather unusual practices for us when checking the documents. All in all we will rent somewhere else next year.
There is no office for XCD at this location if you're looking for it...not even the Estival Park Hotel staff know where it is. We had a car booked for 10am on Sunday and there was no one there when we arrived. We rang their number and got no answer. They only answer the line Monday to Friday. Later that day we got a WhatsApp from them to say if we'd like our car earlier, at 6pm instead of 7pm. They messed up the time and we ended up having to ask for a refund. We also wasted our morning coming out there and money on two taxi journeys...
