WARNING! they charge you 75 euros for cleaning if there is a small bit of sand in the trunk. See the video. When I started filming the car the inspector threatened to call the police. With a smile he stated "today you are going to wait". I don't know if this is the way to do business. Judge for yourselves by the video. Please stay away from record go. We paid almost nothing for the car. That does not justify this. I will be posting the full story on the ciudad Quesada fb group and link to other posts. I will also make a YouTube video on the scamming going on at ALC with Record GO. With some work I will make sure as many people around Torrevieja and Alicante are warned.
I recently used Record Go as they were recommended by two of my friends. Booking the car was easy and straightforward. The add-ons were clearly explained. I arrived to pick up the car at Alicante airport. The desk was quiet and there were three members of staff available. I showed my booking to one of the staff members. He told me that I would need to use the self serve terminal to complete me check in. However, he was kind enough to come out from behind the desk and walk me through the process. That is good customer service. I was given an MG SUV and was told that I don't need to check it over as I have full cover. Nonetheless, As comforting as that is, I always like to know what condition the car is in before touching it. I went to the car park and to my astonishment, there was serious near side damage to the front and back doors. There's was also other obvious damage to other parts of the car. The term "rent a wreck" popped into my mind. So, back I go to the service desk, armed with a photo of the main damage. The man on the desk was courteous and said that the car was ok to take and drive. However, I politely declined the car and was facilitated with another car (like for like) and in decent enough condition. The return of the car was very straightforward and quick. The lady who took my key and the receipt for petrol was busy, but pleasant. She reminded me that as I was fully covered, I could go to my flight without waiting to check the car Other than the the damage to the first car, I had a very good experience with Record Go. I would be happy to recommend them.
first , i been hire van from this company for a long time last time the person served me and show me the van . he was very ignorant, stubborn and foreign can't speak English , he made my day hell they should sack him. He's not good for this job. I'm not happy. Second they had EUR200 excess in my policy and they took EUR195 for the fuel so you get back the money when you return the van and they give your access EUR200 back as well . but they give me my fuel back, but they didn't give me my access EUR200 back . in english money PS175.07 . I emailed them They just ignored me. if you want my opinion, don't use this company I don't trust them The rip you off Van had loads of scratch dints and damage before i used the vehicle. If i could have a response for the company so we can sort it out then i want this sorting. customer service is shocking.
First time renting at Record go and I will rent from them again, for sure. Everything was fast at the counter, car was clean and good, super easy to return. We took all inclusive with Total Comfort Cover so rental period was worry free and return hassle free. Thank you Record go!
Please try different companies RecordGo are well oiled scam machine! Finally got car after an hour plus even though we had done all prep online including insurance. A few extras later and were off. Ordered a Volvo, got a 'Jeep' small hatchback, were told this is an upgrade. Ha. The car engine management was on, engine fan screaming, literally more dents than car itself and the tracking was out. Kept pulling the car left and couldn't grip a motorway bend. At drop off they even stung us with some microscopic scratch on the black bumper plastic wheel arch. We knew it wasn't us but we didn't have the correct before pic so they grabbed a quick 220 euros from us. Proper unfriendly vultures the pick up staff, my toddler kids loved it. Glad they're alive still to have met the woman that walked round the car telling everyone to move. Will definitely avoid now I've read the reviews and experienced myself. They won't last long.
Booked with all options but I get an Old car used (Fiat tipo) , I request an other but was not possible to change. On the car a lot of damage and noise driving, very bad! At the end is not comfortable! No radar for parking and radio was not working due to absence of antenna. I book a city SUV like (Ford Puma, Renault Captur) I got a Fiat tipo with a lot of damage on. Driving without a secure feeling. No comfort! You need to give back fully tanked at 10km with the ticket if not you paid extra fees, not customers friendly attitude. The only positive thing is the price and no queue at delivery and deposit.
Our first rental car experience, maximum 5 stars. We made a pre-booking at Alicante airport and after 2 minutes of administration we had the key in our hands. The car was easy to find,we received it with a clean full tank. We were fully insured so we didn't have to pay any excess, and the fuel deposit was refunded on the second day after drop off.We were able to drop the car off before opening time, put the keys in the box and were ready to go on our flight. Poor quality cars, terrible customer service. We have used this company many times over the past three years. The quality of their service and cars has fallen drastically but their prices have increased considerably. When I complained about the condition the car was in when we picked it up and I was told by the representative that 'all their cars are damaged', 'they don't advertise that all the features of the car will be in working order', 'the rear windscreen wipers are usually missing because they are broken off by their cleaners when the cars are returned and anyway, no one uses them'. I sent two emails to customer service and was thanked for my feedback and nothing else. I will never use this company again as there are so many other options. Customer loyalty means absolutely nothing to them and their product is extremely poor.
