This is a great rental company with ample selection of cars, I was very pleased with their service and I will be using them again.
Avoid! Before going to Ibiza I made a reservation for a scooter for 1 week, which required an upfront deposit of 50$. They would wait for me at the airport. Communication about my time of arrival went well. But when I arrived no one was there. I called the main number of maxirent and they gave me a number I had to call (supposedly from the person waiting for me at the airport). No one answered on this number. Again I called maxirent, but this time no more answer. I tried several times on both numbers (also with text messages) but never got an answer. After a while I went looking for another rental service. Later that day I tried to contact maxirent again. I also wrote an email explaining what happened, and I asked to refund my initial deposit of 50$. They never answered. After my holiday, back home, I kept on trying to contact them, but never could I reach them by telephone, nor did they answered my messages. Bottomline, I will never get my 50$ back.
Amazing staff very flexible on when you can bring the car back and the prices are amazing I would definitely recommend to anybody in Ibiza

Worst experience ever ! We've rent a fiat 500 for 3 days in Ibiza. Right after take the car we've realized it was an Orange spotting light letting us know about pressure tire issues. We've called straight away the car rental company who told us to do not worry about it. Then when we parked the car we also realized it was impossible to open the car boot. The second day, the tire looked really bad so we've decided to go back to the rental car office to show them the issue. They've asked us to go to the petrol station and add some air in the tire (like it is our role to take care of the servicing of the car). We've done it but the tire still got two hernias. So we went through the car rental company again to explain how dangerous is to drive in this condition. They explain us they don't have time to check the cars between 2 customers. so basically they may deliver dangerous cars to customers. We are really disappointed and glad we did not have any accident with the car. At the end, never go to this car rental company if you like to spend some safe holidays
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They immediately debited EUR800 deposit of our account when we arrived. After they charged us EUR275 for damage that was already on the car!! We even took pictures as proof with an employee of Maxi Rent on the day of arrival but still got the blame of the damage. The lady REFUSED to look at our pictures and it was hopeless to have a conversation with her. The rest of our deposit was only received after 3 weeks and several emails and phonecalls. Worst experience ever!!!!
My girlfriend & me booked a scooter here. We went on a trip around the island. Stopped in various places with turning of the engine and turning it back on. Finally we were at the complete other end of the island & took a quick brake for a swim at beach. Thereafter we were no able to start the scooter another time. We tried around two hours to get it working once again--all in middle of the Spanish summer afternoon heat. Three groups of lovely Spanish people (that had themselves all scooters) tried to help us to get it working again--and top of that me as well having lots of scooter experience. Also we tried to reach the emergency hotline of the scooter rental place for about two hours during official opening hours. No answer. I also called the other office & when I tried to explain things, the lady on the other side just hung up on our call & thereafter did not answer again. We took a video in order to prove that it was not our fault. Last but not least we had to take a taxi home for 50EUR & left the scooter behind. All our afternoon & evening plans were consequently cancelled. When we got home we were directly writing the scooter rental company an email with what has happened & gave them the coordinates of where we had left the scooter. Also we returned the keys directly that evening in the mailbox of the scooter rental company as instructed in order to play as fair as possible. The next morning we got an angry call from the lady of the rental place asking us where the scooter was. We explained her the whole situation & that no one was answering our 30 call intents to their emergency hotline. No excuse, nothing! She also said she did not get our email & so I was sending her all the information again via WhatsApp. She told me to come the day after at 1pm to the scooter rental place, therefore we had to rearrange our holiday plans once again. When I got there, there was once again a very aggressive atmosphere where they explained me that the scooter did not have a defect when the mechanic picked it up. Also they said that in the video it was clearly visible that I did not lift the emergency kickstand, but honestly I did everything correctly (tried over 200 times!!!) & it was also visible in the video we quickly took before the taxi came. We had tried everything back on forth hundreds of times with no success. She said that she would not give me back the money for the taxi & would not refund part of the rental fee after us loosing half day of scooter rental time. But as it is sometimes smarter if the wiser gives in, I did not argue back in order to at least get back my deposit of 200EUR. If I would have kept on fighting for my right, I am pretty sure she would have kept this money as well... Long story short. If you want to ruin your vacation, book with MaxiRent! If you do not want any hassle, look for someone else to rent a scooter from.
Nice place. We rented a scooter, started raining so cor some extra money we swapped for a car. Both in good conditions, no concerns at all. I do bot know if it is the cheapest, but renting is easy, just show your driving license, had no problems with motorbike or car, return was easy as well. No complains whatsoever
