Rent-a-car Autoturistica Faialense in Horta

Rude and aggressive. I made an agreement then upcharged. agreed then continued to be rude and aggressive. Decided to go elsewhere.

Pessimo servico no aeroporto, equipe hostil, desmotivada e nada prestavel, apresentaram um carro que dava vergonha de tao sujo que estava, reclamei e a muito custo substituiram o carro por um mais recente com indicacao de avaria no painel, todo riscado e carregado de ruidos parasitas. Efetuei reserva pelo Booking onde contratei o seguro total o que nao valeu de nada(dinheiro deitado fora), fui obrigado a fazer um seguro adicional para nao bloquearem 1500EUR no CC sendo que na pagina da rent a car escrevem 300EUR (informaram me que essa condicao e somente para quem alugue no site da empresa e nao pelo Booking). A juntar a entrega da viatura e feito no aeroporto mas sem aviso o check out e feito num parque proximo e nao no aeroporto). Resumindo nao recomendo.

Wir hatten keine Probleme mit der Vermietung unser Auto war relativ neu. Viele Kratzer aussen aber das beeintrachtigt ja das fahren nicht auf jedenfall von allen Schaden Fotos machen! Am besten wenn man das Auto bei dem Werkstatt Mitarbeiter abholt Was mir nur spater aufgefallen ist die Reifen hinten hatten nichtmehr viel Profil. Abgabe war auch kein Problem Kaution von 1600EUR ziemlich viel aber ist halt so Wurde da safe nochmal mieten

The car was not new, but maintained and considering the price it was a very good deal. No deposit required if you have a credit card. When you take car you check it together with employee and mark all the scratches, etc in the document. No issues on car return.

The car was old but there was no problem. I liked that there is no deposit if you have a credit card. Otherwise the deposit is 300 eur cash.

Accueil correct a l'agence de l'aeroport. Voiture en tres bon etat (une 500 neuve). En insistant un peu et avec un supplement de 11EUR nous avons pu retourner le vehicule en ville a l'agence principale (bon accueil). Pratique si vous arrivez a l'aeroport et repartez en ferry. Il y a une agence au port aussi.

The car itself was fine, but the lady at the reception was unfriendly and unhelpful. Upon arrival she was insistent that they required a Visa credit card if we wanted to avoid paying for compulsory insurance. I checked my booking terms and conditions which stated that I could pay via several different methods (Mastercard, Amex etc...) and she suddenly went quiet and proceeded as normal. I'm not sure whether she was just poorly informed or whether it was an attempt to squeeze some more money from us.

Great experience with this car rental agency. We were able to hire something the same day and drive around the island to do a couple of walks and check out the lighthouse and museum at the far end. The paperwork was quick and painless. You need ID and driving licence. We dropped off as requested to the ferry terminal and they have a key deposit box where you can drop the keys out of hours which suited us perfectly. I would use them again.
