READ ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS, RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BE PREPARED TO BE SCAMMED!! My recent rental experience with Sixt at the Alohilani Resort in Honolulu was beyond disappointing--it was troubling. The car I received was visibly worn, with numerous scrapes, dents, and signs of wear that were initially documented electronically. However, after Sixt later accused me of causing a tiny nick and submitted the attached photo to their claims department, I checked my rental record only to find that the detailed documentation of damage I'd originally seen had been reduced to just the one item they claimed I caused. When I picked up the vehicle, there were about six or so damage notations; seeing that disappear in the record was unsettling and raised serious concerns about their record-keeping integrity. If you rent from this location, I highly recommend saving your rental record with all existing damage to your phone, as it appears details could be altered after the fact. Thankfully, Sixt's claims department eventually dismissed the branch's damage claim, but it was an unnecessary ordeal. On top of that, Sixt charged me for an extra rental day, claiming I returned the car late. I sent an email letting them know about the discrepancy and received a voicemail from Sixt asking to discuss. I subsequently tried reaching them multiple times, leaving messages, but never got any further follow up. This was despite providing them my airline ticket showing that I left Hawaii the day before they alleged I returned the car. After reading other Google reviews, I discovered many similar complaints about this location--others have reported unfounded damage claims. It seems these practices are not isolated incidents. Given my own experience, their attempts to pin damage, charge an extra day, and manipulate records, I would strongly advise against renting from this Sixt branch. I travel frequently for both business and leisure, renting cars often, and I have never had such issues with any other rental company. This is only my second time renting from Sixt, and after this experience, it will be my last. For anyone still considering this location, be sure to document every detail and save a copy of your rental record. It's clear that diligence on the renter's end is essential to address potential scams this location may try to pull.

DO NOT rent from this SIXT! They will do everything possible to steal your money. I rented a white Toyota Camry and noticed scratches when I picked it up, so I took multiple photos. Two days after returning the car, I received an email claiming I was responsible for a 10-cm scratch on the front passenger bumper. Of course, I documented the bumper because it's massive! When I called the SIXT claims office to confirm they received my evidence, they had the audacity to say they weren't sure if it was the front passenger side! AVOID this location at all costs!
We rented three different cars - BMW X7, X5 and X4 (convertible). All cars are in excellent condition, moderately clean, pick up and drop off service is fine, done by the hotel staff. After reading all reviews I bought "piece of mind insurance package" and carefully watched my kids not to bring any sand into the car. I also inspected and pictured all scratches, but still got scammed at the end. The last vehicle we rented (bmw x5)came with 2/3 filled fuel. I noted 502 miles to empty when I started the ignition (I did not know how big is the fuel tank) and when I refilled it back, it showed 632 miles until empty and the petrol bill was twice as much as we used before. Which means we paid for fuel for someone else to drive 120 miles. This leaves me in doubt if vehicles are carefully inspected and mileage/fuel can be trusted. On the positive Alexa performed excellent service with convertible, very friendly and professional.
Alexa was super friendly and helped us really good. She upgraded us from a Camry to a BMW 4 series and couldn't be happier with the service. No wait when I picked up the car at 10am in the morning.
The front desk staff was nice, but I'm not sure if they intentionally lead you into a trap - I was "upgraded" into a 5 series (which I could care less about), but the car came with plenty (>20) scratches, dings, dents and what not. The rental form came with no less than 30 lines of "scratches and dings". I took photos of various damages - but i thought given a large company, they wouldn't "screw you". Drove the car for a day (not parked for more than 30min at a time). Came back - they insist new damage was discovered, and wants 830$ for a bumper damage that was obviously part of what it came with. It's in a hidden area at the lower side of the bumper and outside of my pictures, so they got me. From their email: "According to our papers the damage has occurred during your rental. Thus we claim for indemnity." Would never rent from US Sixt again. Much better service and honesty in Europe.
Day 1: Riley and Suzy assisted me this morning. They were friendly and walked me through the entire process quickly. While there was upselling offered, there was no pressure. I took possession of the car promptly and was on my way. However, I had reserved a full-sized car (Toyota Camry or similar) but received a compact car (Toyota Corolla). Riley offered to upgrade me to a BMW X-3 for more room, but that came with a price increase so I stuck with the Corolla which was a tight fit for my family. The Camry would have been nice. Day 2: Andrea helped me this morning. He was also friendly and guided me through the process very quickly. Upselling was offered, but again, there was no pressure. Unfortunately, the full-sized car I reserved was still not available. Andrea apologized and offered the BMW X-3 at no additional cost, which provided the extra space we needed. I (and those in the back seat) really appreciated that. Overall, these were good experiences. I will definitely consider Sixt for my future car rental needs.
