I got to the airport and realized that the van I rented was not going to work for our trip. Fortunately, the woman who was there took the time to walk the lot with me to find the vehicle that would work. Ended up renting a Jeep Wagoneer, which worked great. I was so appreciative for her assistance and time.
As big as National Rental is, and being an emerald club member, they should pay more attention to how they keep their vehicles clean and presentable. In my case, this place has some of the FILTHIEST vehicles available. Paying $1400 for 12 days, and getting a super filthy vehicle, isn't profesional at all. I hope they read this review and at least take some action. The photos posted are taken shortly after the vehicle was picked up. I much rather rent from a place with cleaner cars
Nothing but good things to say about our vehicle rental. Came into Honolulu after flying 10 hours from Austin, Texas. I went to the Emerald Aisle, and there was a selection of vehicles for me to choose from. I took a Highlander, and departing the rental car area was efficient and quick. Vehicle was freshly washed with a full tank of gas. Return was just as easy: pulled in, the car got the once over, and done. All the employees assisting me were engaging, friendly, helpful, and professional. I was met with a smile both times, with everyone providing great service.
National is the best. I recently became a member of National Emerald and my car rental is the easiest process ever. If they offer an Isle go in there choose a car and you're gone all within 5 min. Also great experience in Maui. We were a party of a 5 with no big cars available and nice lady told us to take a bigger vehicle that would be more comfortable for us all for the same price. I will definitely keep using National and hope to become a Executive Elite member soon!
It's always a great experience renting from National. As an Emerald club member, I love walking up and picking any car I want in that aisle. If I'm not satisfied with the pool of cars, they were quick to get me a new one as they did on our recent trip to Hawaii. Top notch service!
First time using Emerald Aisle. Experience was a very good one overall. Employees at this location were very nice and helpful and it was about as easy and quick as you can expect a car rental experience to be. We walked out to the aisle, employee told us where to go, we picked a car, loaded our luggage, employee at the exit took our info, and we left. We chose a full size and there were only 2 cars available which would be my only issue but on the plus side, I've spent MUCH longer waiting on a car that was reserved months in advance with a standard rental. Return was just as easy. We pulled in, employee checked the car as we were unloading and emailed me a receipt.
National took care of me on 3 Hawaiian islands over 4days. Great staff and the vehicles were ready to go! My customers were rolling in style w me.
Very happy with the experience, smooth and fast pick up and return. I have used National almost everywhere I go and they haven't let me disappointed once. Third time using National in Honolulu airport and the upgrade to the Audi A5 convertible was amazing! Thank you for making me and my wife's babymoon a great experience and memory!
