I rented a minivan, and it was clean and practically brand new. They even dropped it off and picked it up from my hotel, which made my trip so much more convenient. Shoutout to Nathan for making the process seamless and helping me save on parking fees. This was a much better option than renting from the airport in terms of convenience and cost. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their service!

That was my first car rental so i was a bit stressed, but everything went well. Car was in very good condition, and there are few options of free parking around Waikiki which was really great. You can return car after working hours which is convenient.

After reading the reviews for Akamai Rentals, I wanted to check them out, especially considering they are a locally-owned small business. I had such a great experience, I cannot recommend them enough. They were extremely helpful and accommodating, even giving excellent recommendations about the most beautiful driving routes in Oahu. They set me up with a new, clean Jeep that got me back and forth to the North Shore for several days. A great company with fantastic people working there. I would give them six stars if I could.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy booking process. Breck dropped the car off at our hotel and collected it once we were done. Car was clean, modern and well priced. Would definitely use again.

Our vacation stay was at a nearby condo in Waikiki within walking distance to this business. The staff at Akamai Rentals were all friendly and helpful. The cars were new and exquisitely maintained. The rates were affordable and the added benefit of being able to park on the lot after hours saved us a good bit of money. Parking in Honolulu is expensive. Breck was the lady who checked us in and out. She was very knowledgeable and efficient. Her gracious expertise was greatly appreciated. If I am ever in this area again and need a rental, I will be back at Akamai; it's the smart thing to do.

If you're in Waikiki and need to a car to rent, check out Akamai Rentals. Their prices were affordable, they had a variety of different cars to choose from. We reserved our car on line the night before, went to where the rentals were. Spoke with the rep taking care of the reservations, got our car and off we went. The car we rented was clean, stafff was friendly. I Highly recommend Akamai Rentals.

Akamai Rentals is the best rent a car service I have ever experienced. The receptionist was so quick and no frustration at all during check in procedures. And completely over night parking service saves hundreds of dollars! I definitely come back again! I really recommend Akamai Rentals for everyone who stay around there!

I heard many horror stories about renting a car and came to Akamai after being referred by my hotel. They didn't disappoint and made the process easy for daily rentals so my family could run errands and explore the island. The prices were reasonable and they have a full complement of cars/jeeps/SUVs. After completing the reservation and payment online, you simply show up to the lot and take a quick once over with the car and enjoy your day. The vehicles are cleaned daily and if you pick up early, you'll see the staff washing/cleaning the cars. Drop off is simple and you are guided by security who will tell you where you can park since space is at a premium everywhere. I didn't reserve the car for more than a day, but I was told that parking is included at the lot if you rent for multiple days. The operation is very simple and is refreshing than renting from the airport and going through a drawn out corporate driven process. I got help from Dan who was very friendly on both occasions. If you're looking for a daily driver to some of the farther attractions and want to save some money on the crazy parking rates in Honolulu, this is a good option. You won't be disappointed!
