The customer service is exceptional, prices are very affordable, but cars condition is questionable. The first car I picked up got check engine light, so I had an exchange car which as appeared has an issue with a tire. I got another exchange, but it was very old car which was uncomfortable with very squeaky brakes. P.S. there's a parking in the same building and the cost for the rental cars parking is $20/day. Very convenient.

The employees of this rental car company were friendly and helpful first. We rented a Smart VIP, which was more expensive than a regular Smart. Supposedly VIP should meen a newer car with better equipment. The car we received was old (more than 50.000 miles), equiped with nothing and partly damaged. The driving was horrible as the car was making very loud sounds ongoing and the car was very unstable on the street. We were feeling very insecure. When the vehicle was returned, there was no reaction from the employee regarding the deficiencies. If you want to have a nice and safe vacation, do not rent from this car rental company.

We booked a smart car really last minute on a weekday and it was a fast and easy process, plus super friendly service. Really good prices too. We did a pretty reasonable clean up of sand / filled it up with gas before returning and had no problems at all. Would totally use this company again!

We booked the car day before we needed it, luckily we did because it was busy as there the next day. Recommend contacting ahead of time. Unluckily we got 2 flat tyres 35mins away on our return trip. We dont blame the company at all and they were very good in helping the situation. The multiple phone numbers to get assistance made it a bit confusing, however the team got us back to the lot safe and sound. Thanks so much Nico and team, we will be back

Great experience! Probably the best rental car prices on the island! I rented a smart car during my stay at the Monarch Hotel. Very professional and courteous staff! Easy pick-up and return! The car was older but handled great! Also, received a big discount on the nightly parking rate at the Monarch Hotel parking garage. Highly recommend! Looking forward to renting from 808 Smart Car Rentals again! Mahalo!!

Vince and Nico at 808 Smart Car Rentals are super nice and friendly. This was my first time driving around Oahu and they made the whole process super smooth. I didn't have a reservation on NYE but Vince went out of his way to make sure I was looked after. I was looking for a car with Apple CarPlay because I needed maps, and even though there weren't many cars available, Vince made it happen. Vince looked after me and I'm super appreciative. The car was awesome and I had a great time exploring the island. We had a wonderful experience with 808 smart cars. They have very reasonable rates. Doc was very professional and had us ready with keys in our hand in no time. Couldn't have been a better car for the island neither, where others were trying to find a place to park in areas we could pretty much fit anywhere. Having the convertible top down made it extremely nice to take pics out the top to get a good shot while driving across the island. Also they get like 40 miles per gallon and it was only around $25 to fill up the tank. Definitely recommend and will use them again when we come back to visit.
