I rented a car from budget car rental place on January 07, 2024, and after signing the rental agreement I was handed a car with two broken wheel covers but I noticed only one that the rental place guy placed it in the trunk of the car. After driving the car to the closest gas station for about a mile away from the airport I noticed the car was swaying to the side and I almost cause an accident. I decided to return the car within 10 minutes of singing off the rental agreement. The manager offers no sympathy to fix the problem instead of helping me right way he proceeded to charge me for a full day of the car rental fee of $100, plus 120 dollars for a broken wheel cover and $65 Dollars for a full gas tank totaling $285 for driving a piece of junk for 10 minutes. Save Your Money and Stay Away from the Budget/Herts Car rental company.

Terrible service. I was told at the time of my scheduled reservation that the vehicle I had reserved over 2 months ago was not drivable and Karen Rodriguez, the employee at the counter, offered to send us to a different business, which turned out to be a smaller unknown site outside of the airport. We didn't follow through with renting the vehicle with that "small business," to which Karen personally called me to express her frustration and disbelief that I caused because she was trying to help. The whole situation was off and I returned to the Budget location to ask her in person for a cancelation confirmation of my reservation. To which she stated she couldn't produce. I did get one in the end, but to those looking to rent a car, please be aware of possible scams or fraud from this location and it's employees.

I reserved a VW Tiguan at the Guadalajara airport, was told they had one available at the booth as you exit the flight. They drove me to where they actually rent you the car and things changed dramatically, terrible service and was downgraded from a new Tiguan parked out front to a beat up Nissan X-Trail with 50,000 miles and dings in front and back bumpers. Was charged the same price regardless. I wish I would have checked out the negative reviews and would have avoided the negative experience with this company.

Very bad service, rented a car on line and when I arrived they claimed that for a minimal price we would get an upgrade. The minimal upgrade was twice the price I got online. When I declined they gave me a red full size car with a broken windshield. I complained that I did not accept a car with a broken windshield and they gave me the upgrade for 100 us doll more. What an unreliable place.

Scam! Never again!!! Made a car rental hours on this site hours before my arrival To Guadalajara from LAX. When I arrived in Guadalajara the budget staff said I was not in the system because it had not passed 24hrs of my reservation in the system. My personal checking card was charged, and was told I had to wait a full 24hrs after the date of when I needed the car to show up in the system. You need to run your card again to get a car! Get charged twice?! Yes they said! No thank you! The person in the front desk very sarcastic and rude!! SCAM!!!!! Had to call my bank to dispute this charge!
