Guy who served us was a top bloke . Very good service from him. We rented a brand new Hyundai i10 for a month. It only had 70km on it when we drove it. Brand new. All the features. Couldn't have been happier. We will definitely use top car again. Oh and the que was non existent compared to the other car rental places.

Booked a Skoda Kodiaq but was given a dfsk (yes you read that right). No apple car play, hell I couldn't even manage to connect to what seemed like an aftermarket head unit so one of the passengers has to act as a phone holder. It is propelled by an enormous 1.5 petrol engine coupled with CVT transmission which forces you to say a prayer and cross your fingers at junctions just to get it going. To add an insult to the injury we averaged over 14l/100km consumption (traveled 350 km and filled up 50l) When I was picking it up 2 other people were given different cars than what they ordered so I feel like this is a common practice!!! At the car park when picking up our Chinese whip there was a Kodiaq waiting to be booked, see photos. Absolutely shocking. I have given 2 stars because it was somewhat drivable. I highly doubt that these comments will help them to improve and provide the best possible service.

Booked fiat 500, got Hyundai i10 with screen apple carplay so it enabled easy navigation using saved maps on Google maps. Quite efficient in terms of fuel consumption 5l/100km when we have driven 950km during 10 days so explored entire island. Full insurance made easy pickup and dropoff.

Very good value for money Pros: + Very competitive prices (one of the cheapest around) + Recent models (2 years old cars max as far as I could see) + Received exactly the vehicle I expected in terms of category and spec + Friendly clear & quick staff, not pushy to sell extra insurance/options + Vehicles are located in the main car park next to all the major international rental companies (2min walk from the terminal) + You can drop off the car before/after opening hours (they have a key box at their terminal desk) Cons: - Waiting time to get the car keys was ~30min. But they just seem to be victim of their success as their 4 office desks were all open. - If you don't take the additional insurance you will need to provide a 900EUR deposit which is the market standard. However they will debit it instead of blocking it. And couple of days after the rental period they will cancel the payment. - While the car was exactly what I expected in terms of mechanic, model and spec, it had 62000km on the clock and a lot of visual damages (including two >10cm dents). It was a 2 years old Dacia Duster (1.0 TCe Prestige spec). But well used and with the narrow/small roads of Tenerife, I can understand it got many scratches with time. Had no issue with it. - Only 2 of the damages were recorded on the contract. So I had to make sure I took pictures and emailed to guarantee I wouldn't be charged for them later. - The car cleaning could have been a bit better (especially inside). I think they did it very quickly. But overall it was clean (but not spotless).

My experience with TopCar Rental was far from satisfactory. Initially, I was taken aback by unexpected insurance charges. Right after picking up the car, I faced multiple issues, starting with noticeable bodywork damages which I reported but was reassured due to being fully insured. Driving off, I was greeted by numerous error messages on the dashboard, highlighting the car's poor maintenance. The solution provided--to return and exchange the car at the airport--significantly ate into my holiday time, which was both frustrating and disappointing. Even the replacement car, which was supposedly an "upgrade," suffered from similar issues, including persistent error messages about tire pressure that I couldn't resolve, adding stress to my travel. This, combined with the observation of another customer facing similar issues, suggested a pattern of neglect towards vehicle maintenance and customer care at TopCar. The whole ordeal detracted from my holiday experience, turning what was meant to be a relaxing time into a series of stressful events. Unfortunately, this has led me to decide not to use TopCar's services in the future, nor to recommend them to others. The focus seems to be more on financial gains rather than customer satisfaction and safety, a perspective that's deeply concerning. Additionally, I found their customer service to be lacking in patience and attentiveness. The representatives seemed uninterested in listening to or addressing my concerns, further exacerbating my frustration. This lack of empathy and effective communication only added to the overall disappointing experience with TopCar Rental.

Bad experience! Made the reservation on the Ryanair website at the time of collection, when they asked us for the address of the hotel, which was on the island of La Palma, they did not give us the car, saying that the rental did not include the leaving Tenerife. Textual words: you cannot go abroad. Now that La Palma is abroad, in reference to Tenerife or Spain is absurd. They justified themselves by saying that we could not have assistance in case of breakdowns. We were forced to rent from another company, paying three times as much. However, what pissed us off the most is that in La Palma we saw dozens of topcars. So...either the 3 desk clerks cheated us or people arent telling the truth about their real destination.

I arrived at the airport after a 6-hour flight and had to wait another 3 hours in line to pick up my car. The organization at the offices within the Airport is chaotic, they are not able to organize the waiting area at the queue, the employees move extremely hard. Instead, the car was very ok, new and clean.

I strongly advise against it. I would like to modify my reservation, for 2 weeks they have been unreachable by telephone, do not respond to emails, other than by automatic responses (when there are any). Be smarter than me and move on because even before you have the car its not going well.

Contract information (T318493) I was on vacation in Tenerife, where I pre-ordered and paid for the rental of a Seat Ateca SUV. When signing the contract, the employee convinced me that the insurance contract I had taken out with AXA was not cheap and that she would sign a cheaper contract with me, in return for which she would offer me an even better car for the same amount. Unfortunately, both were just a scam aimed at a customer who was abroad and wanted to quickly drive to his hotel in a rental car. I quickly found out that the better car than the Seat Ateca should be the VW Taigo, which is a small car compared to the Seat Ateca, which is a mid-size car. Brilliant scam, I will never contact this car rental company again in the future nor do I recommend them to anyone!!

No people, Ill never rent a car again!!! We had to wait at the counter for over an hour until it was finally our turn. What is online check-in actually for? Then they want to sell me insurance so I wouldnt have to pay a deposit. But I had already rented the car with full insurance as part of the package. So 900 euros were deducted from my credit card account. By then we had already had the long flight from Hanover, we had to stay on the plane for over an hour until we could finally get off and then we had to wait over 2 hours for our luggage. So its pretty much finished. We had booked a Golf or something similar with an automatic. We got (the friendly lady was very proud of it) a DS4, which was supposed to belong to a higher category, but at least at no extra charge. I was so exhausted by now that I didnt even care. We then went up to the small office, where I was just given the key and told that the car was in number 22. We should take pictures of the car because of complaints. We did that too, but it was very dark there. Pictures still turned out pretty good, thanks to a good cell phone. Now thats not necessarily the brand of automobile that I prefer. So I didnt know how to use it. I had to get help from an employee to open the trunk. There is a very small button under the tailgate that you cant easily find to open the trunk. Yes, and then our middle suitcases didnt fit in at all, we had to fold down the back seat backs. But they fit in the Golf without any problems. It was dark, we were completely exhausted and we still had to drive over an hour to our holiday home. So we took a closer look at the car the following day. Ugh, that was gross. The cart was totally dirty and sticky inside. There was a one and a half liter water bottle under the drivers seat and a corkscrew on the back seat. So they had probably had a party there beforehand. We only cleaned the bare essentials and gave the box back like that at the end. That was also such an experience. We got to the Topcar lot and I was told where to stand. After that, no one cared about us anymore. So I went and grabbed one of the guys to hand the car over to him. He asked if everything was OK. O. would be. Then I said that the car was totally dirty and was still the same. He would be sorry for that, nothing more. He didnt look at the car in any way and wished us a safe journey back. So here we go. The only positive thing was that I had the coal credited back to my account a few days later.

Ich war mittlerweile so kaputt, dass es mir dann auch egal war. Es ging dann hoch zum kleinen Buro, wo man mir nur den Schlussel ubergab und sagte, der Wagen stunde auf Platz 22. Wir sollten noch Bilder vom Auto machen, wegen Reklamationen. Das haben wir dann auch gemacht, allerdings war es dort sehr dunkel. Bilder sind trotzdem ziemlich gut geworden, dank gutem Handy. Nun ist das nicht unbedingt die Marke von Automobilen, die ich praferiere. Daher kannte ich mich mit der Bedienung nicht aus. Um den Kofferraum aufzumachen, musste ich mir Hilfe von einem Mitarbeiter holen. Da ist unter der Heckklappe ein ganz kleiner Knopf, den findet man nicht so ohne weiteres, um den Kofferraum aufzumachen. Ja und dann passten unsere mittleren Koffer gar nicht rein, wir mussten die Rucksitzlehnen umklappen. Im Golf passen die aber ohne Probleme rein. Es war dunkel, wir waren total kaputt und wir mussten noch uber eine Stunde fahren bis zu unserem Ferienhaus. Daher haben wir uns das Auto am folgenden Tag erst genauer angeschaut. Uhh war das eklig. Die Karre innen total verdreckt und klebrig. Unter dem Fahrersitz lag noch eine angefangene eineinhalb Liter Wasserflasche und auf der Ruckbank ein Korkenzieher. Da hatte man also wohl vorher noch eine Party drin gefeiert. Wir haben nur das notwendigste sauber gemacht und am Ende die Kiste so wieder abgegeben. Das war auch so ein Erlebnis. Wir kamen auf den Platz von Topcar und man sagte mir, wo ich mich hinstellen sollte. Danach kummerte sich aber niemand mehr um uns. Ich also los und habe mir eins der Jungs geschnappt, um ihm das Auto zu ubergeben. Er fragte, ob alles i. O. ware. Darauf ich, dass das Auot total verdreckt gewesen ware und auch noch genauso sei. Das tate ihm leid, mehr nicht. Er hat sich das Auto in keiner Weise angeschaut und uns noch eine gute Ruckreise gewunscht. Also sind wir los. Das einzig Positive war, dass ich die Kohle ein paar Tage spater wieder auf meinem Konto gutgeschrieben hatte.

I can not get in contact with their office. I have tried calling like 25 times and can t get past their phone system to talk to a person. Our flight got changed and have to do an early drop off before they are open. The car had a lot of damage/scratches that I documented, but now I m worried they will just take the deposit if I can t show them the proof. Also their contact form on their website keeps telling me I m a robot and won t send my message.

Top Car Tenerife South Airport: Beware of fraud: Car in the reserved luxury class Mercedles GLC is apparently not available, so we were offered a significantly smaller and completely dented and dirty Audi Q3 car with the promise of exchange in 2 days. TopCar didnt want to know anything about the exchange after 2 days, but they still offered an exchange in a lower class Mercedes GLB without a price reduction, as again there was no Mercedes GLC available. After emphatically pointing out that this was obviously a case of deliberate fraud, the Mercedes GLC we had reserved and supposedly didnt exist was available within 1 minute. The car was probably already available two days before our arrival.

Vermutlich war der Wagen auch bereits 2 Tage vorher bei unserer Ankunft verfugbar.

Generally speaking a very bad experience I am not prepare to repeat again. 1. When Ryanair change the date of the flights to and back from Tenerife I tried to change the dates of my reservation. Due to negative answer, I have to cancel my reservation and make the new one at the same provider for an additional cost of around 60 EUR. 2. I didnt get the car I have booked, but the similar one (TOYOTA CHR instead of the SUZUKI VITARA). Legally far enough, but not the car that is meeting my needs and expectations. 3. I didnt pay attention to details when took over the car (being tired after the long flight and the long queue by the TOPCAR office at the airport). After a short driving I find out that the tank was not full, the orange warn light for the tires was on and the brakes were weak (was better when switch the AUT into the B mode). 4. I tried to get somebody on the phone number from the contract to discuss the issue. No response on the day of arrival, no response on phone calls and emails the next day. Open the issue and ask Booking for help (Thanks Booking, great assistance!). When even Booking cant get any feedback from TOPCAR I sit in the car and go back from Puerto de la Cruz to the Tenerife Aeroporto Sur. Due to enormous queues at the TOPCAR airport office I decided to return the car, open a formal dispute and hire a car by another provider. Luckily I have met in the TOPCAR parking area a friendly guy (Dulce) who immediately change the car with the new one (MAZDA CX-5). 5. My conclusion was that the people working at the TOPCAR are under a serious work pressure, but this is on the management to be resolved. But a non working contact phone number is something, which I cant accept. If I would not meet Mr. Dulce, I will be able to give only one star for this car provider . Being seriously afraid driving the car in such a condition

What misery, obviously cheap prices are attractive, the other providers at the airport are all unemployed. But is it worth a minimum 2 hour wait? The online check-in, which is supposed to enable prioritized processing, is a farce. Similar picture when handing over the vehicle. Plan at least an hour. Ill definitely book another provider next time. Such chaos!! I was still standing in the priority queue and was insulted, had to justify myself and drag my husband in front of the counter to prove that I was entitled to stand in line at the counter...

Das online Check in das eine priorisierte Abwicklung ermoglichen soll, eine Farce. Bei der Abgabe des Fahrzeugs ahnliches Bild. Minimum eine Stunde einplanen. Ich buche beim nachsten Mal sicher einen anderen Anbieter. Ein solches Chaos!! Ich stand noch in der Prio-Warteschlange wurde blod angemacht , musste mich rechtfertigen und meinen Mann vor den Schalter zerren um zu beweisen, dass ich berechtigt war an dem Schalter anzustehen

We booked a car for the first week for our holidays and waited 60 minutes in the line to pick the car up. We booked another car for the second week and waited over 90 minutes in the line at the airport. When finally have reached the counter, the line has already doubled, so i think, other people back in the line would have waited over 2 hours.. the staff is friendly, but they need more people at the counter. The waiting time is far to long.
