When I booked my car at Granada airport I clearly stated that it was for 3 days and giving it back at Malaga but the employee lied to me and made the contract for 1 day and give back at Granada. Just to be sure he was cheaper that the other rentals. You should be changing this incentive program that forces employees to lie and cheat. I will never use Sixt again.
DO NOT BOOK WITH SIXT - SCAMMERS!! I just called SIXT because they charged me $400 euros for a 3 day rental, while my friends spent $50 euros for the same period. I asked for the cheapest and this is what I got. I just paid because I had no idea other companies would be 6-8 times less! PREDATORY SCAMMERS!!! THEY SAID THEY CANT CHANGE MY PRICE, will never book again!
Location is great, close to the train station. A major inconvenience is the distance to the car garage. We had to drag our luggage over 700 yards of cobble sidewalks to get our rental car. Last fall, when we rented cars from Sixt at Cologne and Munich train stations, the staff had the cars parked along the curb right in front of the rental office.
Rafael was awesome, noticed our two large bags and suggested to pick up X1 over Q3. When he walked to parking lot to show me both cars and agreed X1 was a better choice, better looking and more spacious car. The car still had the smell of a brand new car with only 4000 km on the odometer. Fully loaded with all kind of features. Loved to drive it for 5 days. Really great experience with SIXT again!
Outstanding service. The staff could not have been more helpful. The parking garage is a short walk ((5-10minutes) from the check in counter. Could be problematic if you have a lot of luggage, but you can always drive back and pick it up. The car was is "as-new" condition and staff make every effort that we were happy with the rental.
We rented a Citroen C5 from Sixt in Granada for a day trip in the La Alpujarra. The Sixt agent Diana suggested the automatic transmission and also mentioned her favorite restaurant in Capileira. We soon realized the drive would have more work than pleasure with the manual transmission. And the restaurant was excellent. Great car, too. So Diana, thank you. You helped us make the most of our outing.
Great service at the desk. I had a great interaction with Javier. Thanks for your help. Outside of that, the car itself was also in good condition and was cleaned very thoroughly.
The experience was great, except for the drop-off. The e-mailed instructions were not clear enough. We drove around central Granada for 30 minutes before we finally located the parking garage to drop off the car. The e-mailed instructions need to be written like you're providing them to a dumb American (like me). The agents, both at pickup and drop-off were excellent - friendly, accommodating, and helpful! The car, too, was great. It was just what my wife and I expected. Thanks, Sixt! Highest marks!
