International Car - Faro in Faro

The vehicle we rented from international car / surprise had acceleration problems and all warning lights went on. I called Surprise Car (which shares an address an car park with Intetnational cars) the same day - no one answered. I emailed and asked for a return call - only the next morning a surprise rep answered and asked us to RETURN the car ourselves despite unsafe driving conditions. When dropping of the car the company complained about dog hair in the vehicle (we do have a small dog) and asked for EUR 90 to clean the car. We pointed out that it wasn't the actual return date but their car was broken. They wouldn't accept it so we drove to get the car vacuumed. When we returned they still claimed the car had dog hair. At this point it was clear that their sole goal was to make extra money. We left again (all warning lights on!h and had the car vaccumed a second time. their staff was Unfriendly, rude and unapologetic we spent half a day trying to get a clearly broken car exchanged. When I asked to write a complaint into a complaint book they threatened to call the police because I had taken photos. Avoid!!

Car rental was super easy. Everyone was super helpful, especially Sally while the return. I would rent there again.

All went smoothly, professional service. However we must have missed the shuttle bus so called the number on our booking confirmation and it was an automated phone line. But shuttle bus then arrived and all great. Would use this company again .

Worst service I ever experienced. Individual agreements have no impact. They trick you into buying some extra insurance. Offer you to pay for the road toll as an agreement to sell you the insurance. If you bring the car back none of them want to know something about this agreement. Event if you got it written down. Not willing to solve issues only yelling at you with nonsense arguments. If you thinking of renting your car here be aware to pay nearly the double price in the end.

attention - I will never rent again with this company - they are on my blacklist. this company is not in the business of renting cars but in the business of selling extra insurance or trying to claim as much damages ( and not repairing them ). I did get a car with more than 19 very small damages and a 2/3 tank full. of course they did find two very superficial additional damages when returning for which they charged more than 300 EUR while you know they will not repair them ( so cash in the pocket ) and of course I did put more fuel in he car ( as you are afraid they will double charge you if it is a little bit less fuel in the car) and this is also EUR in their pocket.

Everything was good on renting my car for 3 days. Orlando did a great job on answering all my questions and explaining the important parts of the car I rented. I recommnend.

Stay far far away. They charged me 120 euro for a missing passenger car mat that was never there. Then they refused to honour our insurance when we said it should be covered by the insurance that should cover all items. Total rip off. Stick with reputable car agency
