Great company! Staff is very friendly. Relaxed service and good cars. Rent a car twice a year without any issues.
I booked a car with EPI online and the reservation was confirmed. When I got off the plane at Faro airport the next day, I saw they had sent me an email that my reservation was "declined". I called them and it wasn't due to my credit card or anything but because they didn't have anymore cars available. The staff was nice but they left me stranded at the airport and I had to try to find another rental car on the spot.
This is our 3rd year renting with EPI and we appreciate the attention, detail, and service they have shown us in Portugal. We would definitely recommend using the company for your car rental in Portugal especially when dealing with the account manager Ana. She has been superb!!!
I've been coming to Portugal for years and I used EPI every time now. They are normally the best price, they don't try and upsell or bamboozle you and it's a family run business. I did ding my car once and they were very professional throughout.
Rented a fiat panda through a broker from EPI. The whole process was quick, without pressure tactics, deposits etc. The car was clean and quite new at only 35k kilometers on the odometer. I'd definitely using them again.
For the last 3 years we have spent winter months in Portugal. In 2023 we decided to stay 3 months. Our experience previously with the big name companies had been less than satisfactory, therefore we chose one of the smaller Car Hire companies, hoping for a better experience. We chose EPI, which seemed to "tick our boxes": Competitive, free extra driver, and no restrictions for senior drivers. We were not disappointed. We picked the car up in mid December (2023) at their Lisbon facility, and dropped it off at the end of February in Faro. With children and grandchildren visiting over the Christmas period, we required a larger car for that period. EPI were kind enough to let us revert to a smaller vehicle after that. EPI provided customer service above and beyond our expectations. Both cars were in perfect condition and we had no problems at all. We were able to communicate with them if we had any questions. This company is highly recommended, and from the experience of two senior citizens who have rented vehicles around the world, they are at the top of our list. Our special thanks for Luis and Miguel and their staff for ensuring our rental was trouble free. Well Done!
Made a mistake during the booking. But the friendly lady helped me perfectly with my problems. Also I booked a lower end car and got a bigger one. Top service.
Very positive experience with this company. Vehicle was a nice car in good condition (Peugeot 208) and price was reasonable. Staff very friendly with a good sense of humour! We had an issue where we unfortunately lost our vehicle keys in the sea. I was able to contact the office who were very understanding and we arranged the collection of a replacement key. Efficient pick up and drop off of vehicle and very regular shuttle service to and from the airport. Would definitely use the company again on my next visit to Portugal. Thanks EPI
