A very good business and the honest people The fuel indicator in some cars are not accurate enough, before returning the car I filled the tank full and even the fuel is splashed out on me and still the indicator is not showing full Even went to visit representative Jose is a car again at the BP the same results They didn't return the pre authorized amount they charged on my credit card
Rented 3 cars for an excursion with my team. Small office with friendly staff. Be careful however when accepting a car: I strongly recommend to make a video of all the exterior to avoid being charged. I was charged an additional 60EUR for an apparently additional scratch on one wheel, despite all 4 wheels have been marked previously for damages!

Echo always responded quickly to my emails, they were reliable and friendly with helpful service. The car was new and I thought the rates were reasonable compared to the airport companies. Overall a really good experience and would use them again.
I rarely write reviews but this time I feel I have no choice but to warn people away from this company. From the other reviews here I expected them to be pleasant and helpful and I was delighted to find an alternative to renting a car at Lisbon airport where I once waited 4 hours for the car I booked. Booking and collecting the car was fine, the problems started when we were arranging to return it. We had collected it from the office in Estoril with the understanding that we would drop it off at the airport. So far so good. We emailed the company 24 hours in advance as arranged to tell the what time we would be there. Then things started to get strange. Mario from the company started calling my husband every hour and sent him loads of messages asking us to confirm. This was strange as our flight was only 24 hours away and we were really unlikely to change our plans. It was also really annoying as my husband was extremely busy at work and on lots of important calls. We confirmed again. Then when we were actually on our way to the airport he called so many times it actually interrupted our navigation and made us miss two turnings. We confirmed AGAIN that no, strangely enough our plans hadn't changed and we were on our way to the airport. Then he called again!! This time one minute before we were due to arrive making us miss the turn into the garage where we were supposed to meet him. We then told him we were in the car park next door and he was really angry! At this point it would have been funny if he hadn't been so rude. He actually told us off like we were naughty teenagers rather than clients. It was as if I had asked an elderly relative to do me a huge favour and had then made it more difficult for him by behaving inconsiderately rather than paying his company 600 euro and turning up exactly on time as confirmed many many times. We were with our two very young children who were both really upset by it. To top it all off he started saying that the seats were really dirty. We had been to the beach and there were a few grains of sand on them that could have been vacuumed off in 2 minutes. They have now charged us 100 euro for this. We go to Portugal a lot and I was looking forward to a long relationship with echo rent but honestly I would rather wait 4 hours at the airport again than ever have anything more to do with this bizarrely unprofessional company.
We used Echo for car hire from Lisbon Airport. The customer service was friendly and seemless. No waiting in the long car hire queues at the airport as the representative just met us directly at the arrivals to complete our paperwork etc. The car we had was exactly as described, well maintained and clean. We were stuck in traffic and running late on the return leg and had no issues with this either. Overall an excellent experience that I would highly recommend.
We are a young couple travelling from New Zealand and looked at all options for car rental in Lisbon. We are very pleased that we chose Echo Rent; their friendly service, swift communication, quality of vehicle and prices simply cannot be beaten. Enjoy Portugal!
Great deal! you don't have to wait in the huge queues for the car companies directly in the airport (these will only rob you anyway). Just make sure to book in advance and they will prepare the car right outside the airport. We got completely new VW Polo amazing and swift car! Worth every cent :) I definitely reccomend cheers Adam from Slovakia
