Positive: Staff was friendly at pick-up. Negative: Scam alert! Insurance fraud?! We dropped off our rental car at AquaCar in Alicante/Airport because the Enterprise station at the airport doesn't open until 8am. An employee there took the key and told us we could take the shuttle to the terminal. We had no problems with the car, accidents, parking damage or anything similar. Never went off road, just normal streets ans highways. Shortly after our return to Vienna, I received a maik from Enterprise/Alicante that the right front headlight was damaged or broken. This is a lie and a scam intent! We drove to the airport in complete darkness and the lights worked perfectly! Friends in another rental car driving in front of us didn't notice anything either. We also didn't notice anything when we parked at AquaCar the car either. There is either NO damage (and they just claim there is); OR they applied the damage to the car AFTER I left. I never received a call or a photo of the damage from Enterprise.They simply claimed that something was broken and charged me EUR1,000. That's absurdly outrageous. Thankfully I have full coverage without excess but that's maybe why Enterprise is also trying to pull of this scammy stuff. My advice: Just don't book them at Alicante airport! They are tricksters.
UK Based -- Booked through Enterprise via their main website. I paid via a debit card as it's my main card. We travelled to Spain with a 9month old and a 2 year old for a friends wedding. We got a 8 minute shuttle to their rental centre. Two customers in front of me in the que got turned away from their bookings, one because they arrived 10 minutes late and were told to wait until closing to see if they had any cars left. When I got to the front of the que I was told that I could no rent a premium vehicle as I paid via debit card and not a credit card. I then said I could cancel the booking and pay via my credit card. I was then told that they had no cars available to which I responded 'if we cancel and rebook why can't we have the our original car?' The response was incredible. 'Sorry we don't want to take any more booking today'. I then offered to pay for all the waivers and the full insurance (over PS300 worth) still a no and a cold shoulder. After 30 minutes of back and forth we admitted defeat. We then got our luggage and two small children back into a taxi, went back to the airport and lucky manage to get a Mercedes GLE53 from Sixt who were amazing and really helped us and interesting the couple who were originally in front of us in the enterprise queue. Overall an additional PS980 I didn't intend to spend but I'm glad as I spent my money with a helpful company who offered a 5 star service as opposed to the worst company I have ever dealt with and had no intentions of helping me or my young family. After 3 weeks I got my money back from enterprise. If you are from the UK I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere as this company is appalling. Visit 20/09/24
George runs a tight ship at this place. Ayoul's scratch insurance presentation was detailed, Concise and polite. Wasn't pushy with it. Although I decided not to go for it, I would recommend to consider it depending on where you're staying as it could get costly. Thank you again Geogre and Ayoul for an easy collection and drop off service. We loved our Merc!
I have been a loyal customer of Enterprise for over 10 years, but my recent experience at Alicante Airport on October 20 was extremely disappointing. After making a reservation and paying in advance, my booking was canceled without any notice simply because I was 2 hours late picking up my rental car, due to my flight. The agent's explanation was dismissive, and instead of offering a solution, he sent me to other rental companies. In the end, I was forced to take an overpriced last-minute taxi. This level of service is unacceptable, and I expected much better after years of loyalty. But this review is my only first step I will contact with GM in that location and if I have to will take that to the headquarters office
AVOID THIS LOCATION!!! So this is the second time that the employees at this location steal money! I made a reservation on the enterprise website. During the checkout process I was asked if I want to upgrade my Intermediate SUV choice to a Standard SUV for a bit more money. I thought that was a great idea and chose the Standard SUV. Upon arrival I got a compact SUV, so that's two categories lower and if I would have made that choice it would have cost me EUR250 less. Instead of fixing it, they say "sorry, we don't have the car you have reserved". Refund what I've payed to much then! They don't do that. There was a puncture in the tyre, they had it fixed by putting a plug in, which costs about EUR2,-. They billed me EUR171!!! Please avoid this place at all costs, they are thieves! UPDATE: You have my name and details, if you really want to resolve this issue, you contact me instead of me trying to contact you!
We have rented cars from Enterprise on many occasions and trusted that we would continue to receive good and honest service from them in Spain. We rented a Peugeot 3008 for five days from august 30 ...we returned it early 0600..September 4 to Aquacar as directed by enterprise as we had to catch our flight back to England early in the morning. Aqua car did not look at the car nor wanted to give us a receipt for the return of car when asked. When we arrived back in Sheffield there was an email from Enterprise stating the car had some "damage". They sent us a picture that we couldn't figure out what the damage was or where on the car it was ...we emailed back and asked if they could resend some pictures showing the location of the damage..the reply back was that they couldn't because they had already rented it out..we tried calling them and I am going to say I believe them when they emailed that they tried calling us because I think we probably had a long distance phone bloc as we were visiting from Canada. We checked the car when we dropped it off and all seemed great .. the next day there was a EUR1500 charge on our credit card ..apparently they charge first and refund the money back when they get the quote for 'fixing' it ..our credit card also has rental car insurance so I am sure it will be sorted. I'm surprised though that a firm supposedly as reputable as enterprise would let such a scam happen...as well they also have the mobility card we inadvertently left in the car and though apparently they sent it immediately to where we were staying in England we still haven't received it. Shame on you Enterprise for acting in such an unprofessional manner
Had a hire car a Peugeot 3008 for 10 days.Got to are villa to find car wouldn't turn off.I did get it turn off but then in evening the light just turn on by themselves. Had trouble starting car plus locking it. Took car to the nearest enterprise and they took to Peugeot dealer around corner said all fine. Well still had problem for next few days. So using up even more of my holiday took back to enterprise where they did then change car. Problem now is that back in England no one wants to listen or help out from enterprise. It's down to me to phone Spain and get things sorted for my lost days. You can't speak to a manager because they don't have any nor do they know how long a complaint will take to sort out. They take your money for a car that should never of been given to me. And now it's sod the customer. So please be aware of the very bad customer service you get if anything goes wrong. But taking your money they are always there with open arms. Will not be renting out another car with them again.So I am updating this post a week later and still after enterprise in Spain told me to get in touch which I did straight away. I have to say guess what not one thing from them. And as I said here in England will not help you. So please again if your thinking about booking your hire car with them. Know if anything goes wrong you will not get no help from anyone within there company. They just want your money and that's it. Customer service well I can't really say on here the way I feel but hopefully you will see where I am coming from. Never again book with enterprise never
