Fantastic experience, highly recommended! 1. The "fast key" option which enables you to pick up and return your car extra fast! You can also return your car outside the opening hours - very convenient. 2. The car was new and clean both on the inside and on the outside. Our model had just over 10 000km mileage. 3. The staff and the office - very friendly, smiling, happy to help. 4. The parking is very well marked, we had no problem finding it. 5. The price for the rental was very competitive including the all inclusive cover without excess - you don't have to worry about any damage and just enjoy your vacations. We picked up a car hired along side our Ryanair flights. I paid for extra protection but on collection at Alicante was made to pay an additional deposit by a very pushy guy at the desk inside the airport. He also took a payment of EUR130 as a fuel charge. We took pictures before and after drop off to show the car was undamaged. On return we are still waiting for our deposit to be refunded 6 weeks after we came back !!! We are about to become regular visitors to Alicante but shall not use Centauro again or recommend to anyone else

Worst ever - scammed me for a parcel shelf that never been in the car during my rental - Charged my card 750 Euro. The cars instruction manual says that the parcel shelf is model dependent. On top of this they charged me full cover insurance 216 euro, but I was never asked If I wanted it. Customer service is impossible to reach. The car was not cleaned at pickup! Very disapointed with Centauro Alicante!

I found the experience of renting with Centauro to be a mixed bag. The desk staff, pickup and drop off were all fine, although they do not accept AMEX as a payment type for the deposit. As such, I was forced to buy the expensive insurance on my debit card despite having my own separate car rental insurance. This TRIPLED the price of my car rental! Trying to contact customer service during the rental is impossible. I tried contacting them via the telephone, online and via email during my hire and received NO answer. No one answered the phone, no one reposnded to my emails... they were very bad at handling queries during the rental. Very disappointing.

Booked directly through their website with full protection, only 146EUR fuel deposit was needed and we had fast key which is collecting of the vehicle without going to the desk - you don't need to sign any papers if you fill in your information and driving license beforehand through their website/app. Recommend this approach even though its more expensive that through other third parties but you don't have to pay a deposit. Car collection was smooth, the only small problem was we couldn't find the lockers for some time but after that got the keys directly after scanning QR code. The car was a year old, the same model Mazda 6 we booked and had 40k kilometers so it was in pretty good condition. It had a few scratches but it was fine. Returning of the keys was in one minute and the fuel deposit was returned in one day. Overall, recommend Centauro, will book with them again in the future.

Be careful, scammers! they didn't return the deposit price of 200 EUR, I rented the car for 3 days, only used it for 2 days, I drove from the airport to the hotel, then the car sat there for a day and on the 3rd day I returned the car, I drove only 100 km, before returning it I stopped by and filled the tank full of fuel , but this company decided not to give the money! swindlers This company files complaints about negative reviews, doing everything to prevent people from finding out the truth! The price was good, but the desk clerk was very aggressive in his attempt to coerce us to purchasing insurance that was 3X the cost of the car rental. He gave an intimidating warning that any scratch on the car would cost us dearly if we did not buy the insurance. We declined and instead paid a 1100EUR deposit, in addition to the mandator fuel deposit. The whole week though I was concerned because the car already had many scratches, dirty and stained seats, and the sensor on the bumper was hanging off by the wire. I took video of the condition in the dark parking lot, but I was still concerned there would trouble. Thankfully when I returned the car the agent was nice and friendly and did not blame me for any of the pre-existing scratches. This was also unwelcomed because I booked this car and paid in advance on Chase, and the online booking said nothing about required deposits, so this was an unpleasant surprise to be aggressively told I had to pay these deposit - and they had trouble running them on my card

Zero points! Beware of scammers! You get ripped off. As a single woman, special caution must be exercised! They withheld a deposit of 1,100 and 85 for the tank, even though the car was returned with a full tank.

The whole experience with Centauro was horrendous. We had to buy their excess waiver or pay 1000 euro deposit despite having already bought another excess waiver through our booking agent. The car broke down and they charged us for not returning it to the airport! They refused to pay our taxi fare to the airport because we didnt have a receipt. Do they think we walked the 60 miles to get there?! And when it comes to refunds they use different exchange rates to those they use to charge you so they make money there too. If you leave a 1000 euro deposit it will be charged as PS877 but you only get back PS806 so you lose PS71 for the privilege of having their car. This is disgusting treatment of the customer. Centauro say on their website that we pay special attention to comments made by users in order for us to constantly improve on the value for money of our hire service. This ensures the best customer experience as its one of their main objectives. I am afraid from my experience I am not seeing any evidence of this high quality of attention to the customer. I will never use them again. Interestingly, Centauro have responded immediately to my negative post, but only to clarify their position on Smart cover. Its a pity it took 6 weeks for them to respond to my direct emails to them which they just ignored until I phoned their Spanish office from the UK. Only then did they return the charge for not returning the car to the airport, and that was minus the difference in exchange rate. However, they have not mentioned anything about the terrible customer service, difficulty in communicating with them, the hidden cost in leaving a large deposit or the way they manipulate the exchange rates in the favour so UK customers do not get back the same amount as they are charged. I asked to pay in PS sterling to avoid exchange rate discrepancies but they just converted the charges back to euros anyway. Im no closer to feeling I am being listened to or considered.

After our holiday week in Moraira, we returned the car damage-free, clean and refueled at Alicante airport. The keys were received and, strangely enough, a check was not necessary. We went along with this, partly because of the crowds at Centauro at that time. When I got home there was a bill of 585 euros for damage to a rim... complete nonsense of course and then Centauro is unreachable and does not respond to a submitted complaint form. Never do business with these people again... we now read more often about these actions by this company. One in every few tenants apparently gets squeezed out. So be careful and force them to sign to indemnify you against claims.

Nooit meer zaken doen met deze mensen.. we lezen inmiddels vaker over deze acties door dit bedrijf. Een op de zoveel huurders wordt er schijnbaar uit gepakt. Kijk dus uit en dwing ze om een handtekening te zetten om je te vrijwaren voor claims.

I booked on their website, the car pick-up was very fast with the fast-key, the delivery was also very fast (I left the car in a free space and the keys with an employee who was there), and the amount charged The fuel, in case you dont return the full tank, arrived in my account in about four hours (I left the car at 5:30 p.m. and at 10:00 p.m. I already had the money back in my account). I gave it 4 stars because the cleanliness of the car was not very good (the dashboard was not very clean and there was a little sand on the feet of the rear seats). The car runs very well. I took it out with comprehensive insurance.

Reserve en la pagina web de ellos, la recogida del coche muy rapida con el fast-key, la entrega tambien rapidisima (deje el coche en una plaza libre y las llaves a un empleado que estaba alli), y el importe que se cobran de combustible por si no devuelves el deposito lleno me llego a la cuenta en unas cuatro horas (deje el coche a las 17:30 y a las 22:00 ya tenia el dinero otra vez en mi cuenta). Le pongo 4 estrellas porque la limpieza del coche no era del todo buena (el salpicadero no estaba muy limpio y tenia un poco de arena en los pies de los asientos traseros). El funcionamiento del coche muy bien. Lo contrate con el seguro a todo riesgo.

You draw a number - After 1.5 hours it becomes apparent that on average a number with an N is called every 7 to 10 minutes. - There are at least 25 numbers left in front of me. The rest is math: the waiting time would have been around 2 to 3 more hours. Overall longer than the flight. - I left the car and took a taxi. - I will not book Centauro again Update: Amid this recession, customer service has reached out requesting contact. I contacted him 6 weeks ago and described the case. I havent received any feedback on this.

Ich habe diesen vor 6 Wochen kontaktiert und den Fall geschildert. Eine Ruckmeldung dazu habe ich nicht bekommen.

We were satisfied with the vehicle and the short waiting time at the counter. On the other hand, as a holder of a Visa Premier card, I usually decline the insurance offered in addition. In general, rental companies offer insurance and then do not insist when you do not take this option. Here it is quite the opposite, when I declined the optional insurance, the employee became very threatening and adopted the strategy of fear by repeating on multiple occasions that in the event of a problem, hitch, accident, scratch the company would not want know nothing and will automatically debit the deposit of 1400 euros. This is indeed the rule applied by all rental companies but here the sellers attitude is clearly aggressive and many customers have to give in because the employee becomes unpleasant and insists more than heavily. I had to say NO at least 4 times before the seller left us alone. If you do not take the insurance option, look around the vehicle carefully before leaving to detect all the impacts so as not to have any problems when you return.

C est effectivement la regle appliquee par tous les loueurs mais ici l attitude du vendeur est clairement agressive et beaucoup de clients doivent ceder car l employe devient desagreable et insiste plus que lourdement. J ai au moins du dire 4 fois NON avant que le vendeur nous laisse tranquille . Si vous ne prenez pas l option d assurance , bien faire le tour du vehicule avant de partir pour deceler tous les impacts pour ne pas avoir d ennui au retour.

My experience with Centauro Rent a Car at Alicante Airport was unfortunately less than ideal. As as I am not someone who writes negative reviews lightly, I - however - felt the need this time to share this experience. To summarize: the car pickup process did not go smoothly. Firstly, the service at the pickup desk was chaotic and slow, leading to long waiting times. Secondly, the treatment of the desk clerk was unprofessional and disappointing. While the conversation initially started on a friendly note, her attitude changed when I declined additional insurance or products. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common practice. FYI: I have nothing against leaving a deposit, I simply do not require any full cover or extra insurance. When I made clear that I did not require such insurance - in a moment that surprised me - the clerk threw her (fixed) computer screen firmly onto the counter, showing me how little Centauro earns from me. This incident not only left a strong impression on me (and the other customers present) but also startled my 1.5-year-old daughter (who had been patiently waiting for more than 30mins after a long flight). This was an unusual and unsettling experience for me. It s a shame that this incident occurred, especially as the employee who assisted with the return of the car was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. Her excellent service left me with a much better impression of Centauro. That said, the attitude of the desk clerk upon arrival overshadowed what could have been a more positive experience. While I greatly appreciated the professionalism during the return process, I feel hesitant to rent from Centauro again based on the initial encounter. FYI: I have also shared this experience with Centauro directly.

Do not rent an electric vehicle if youre not spanish. When I picked the car up I asked if it would be easy to charge. They gave me the name of Electric Maps and said that we can charge it at any station on the app. There was at least 5 on the La Manga strip, where we went for our honeymoon and spent a whole day going from station to station. We downloaded all the apps but they didnt work. Other stations were private and we needed a permit to use. Some stations didnt exist at all. We called Centauro and asked for station recommendations, they were not helpful at all, all they could say is charging the car is my responsibility. I get that but its their responsibility to assist with questions like this. If they would have informed me that its very difficult for foreigners then I would have rented a petrol car. Half of my honeymoon went to the gutter thanks for their support.. Do Not Reccomend!!!

Nonsense. Steer clear of Centauro. Have now spent 5 months with correspondence back and forth on complaints. Was billed twice for the same car. Original price for 1 week was NOK 1,642. Enough paid in advance. When I got to the counter, they couldnt find the order, but were able to arrange a car, which of course I had to have. The cost was NOK 4,027, which had to be accepted and paid then and there. So in total the price was NOK 5,669 for this week. Like literally STEER AWAY from Centauro!!!!

It was all good, but the wait to be picked up, as they dont have representation at the airport was time consuming and confusing, as no any sign at P6, that is Centauro meeting point. Needed to call their contact center.
