After my and my wife faced extreme contempt from the employee of this Sixt office they have blocked my account even though they have agreed that it was their employees fault and offered me a discount for the next rent (absolutely weird!). Moreover, they haven't informed me that account is blocked. so when I came to pick up another car this Saturday (which I have prepaid without any issue) Sixt refused to give me a car saying that the account is blocked and the lady at the desk recommended me to contact the Client support via email (what I have done the same day). The Sixt employees don't tell me the reason of the block, in addition to that they have started saying that my documents "don't meet their security standards" (they also not saying which standards, and in the office nobody mentioned that something was wrong with my documents). I would like to ask Sixt representative to contact me via email and explain: 1) the reason of the block; 2) what is wrong with my documents
Great experience. I rented a car day of and got a great rate for it. From booking the car to driving off the lot was about 30 minutes (including walking time) which wasn't bad at all. Employees were wonderful and very helpful
Rented a Mercedes A Class from here for a week. Simple pick up and drop off, staff really friendly and helpful and not pushy about taking extras. We hired a child seat which was really good quality. Would definitely hire from Sixt again.
Terrible Experience with Sixt at Barcelona Airport - Beware of Thieves! We had a frightening experience upon arriving at Sixt car rental at Barcelona Airport (Terminal 1). While we were waiting in line to pick up our car, we noticed a group of thieves targeting us. They tried to rob us from behind while we stood in the Sixt waiting area. When they couldn't manage it there, they communicated with their accomplices, as these groups operate in large teams. We were followed from the Sixt counter all the way to the parking garage and into the elevator. When we got out, they were waiting on both sides, ready to rob us. I spotted them and immediately started taking photos and videos. This made them aggressive and angry, as their plan had failed. What shocked me the most was how everyone seems to know about these thefts in Barcelona, yet no one takes responsibility or warns you. This happened around 10 PM - not too early, not too late - but it was clear that this is a known operation, and nobody does anything about it. I'm writing this to warn others to be extremely careful at Barcelona Airport, especially when picking up your rental car from Sixt in the evening. These thieves are organized and work in groups, targeting travelers as they head to their cars. It only takes a moment for them to strike, and they often go after people traveling alone. My strong advice is to ask a Sixt employee to accompany you to your car and stay with you while you load your belongings and drive off. Sixt deserves only 1 star because they are fully aware of this issue and do nothing about it. There is no warning, and after 10 PM, there are no Sixt staff around to assist, despite the increased danger. It's disappointing that Sixt sends their customers into this risky situation without any help or precaution. To make matters worse, when we finally got to the parking area and managed to escape the thieves, we realized that the car Sixt had given us was in terrible condition. It was broken, dirty, and we couldn't even put the roof down. This forced us to return to the terminal, putting ourselves in danger again, since there was no Sixt staff in the parking area to assist. After going back, we were given a replacement car, but it was also dirty. At that point, we were exhausted and didn't want to deal with the hassle, so we just took the car. The next day, we had to return & exchange the car. It was a terrible experience, and we'll likely avoid renting from Sixt in the future. We had an apology from Sixt and a discount on a second driver but honestly we would rather see things change at the airport with extra people at the office and maybe some guards and police patrols. Please take this matter seriously! On the photo behind the cars the people who tried to rob us...
The wait before pickup was a little long due to the high number of customers. Fernando was a great agent, he informed us well and was quick. We thank him for his contagious good humor! Once at the parking lot, we were received by Magdalena who kindly accompanied us to check the car and remained very attentive to our comments and questions. We were impressed by the quality of the cars offered, we will come back!
I have dealt with this company in Belgium, Croatia and Spain, the company culture is the same, very high level, full respect for managers and employees. Bravo and keep it up, I will definitely stay with you for many years. I left my phone in the car and within 6 hours of returning the car the phone was already on the way home. Full professionalism and believe me I'm picky but this company meets my requirements 100%. I hope the company will continue to grow. Thank you for everything I could experience thanks to you and see you in October.
Look at the size of this damage that they are saying I did it (which I didn't), they are changing me a whopping EUR276,17 for it. They delivered the car in dark garage, never did an overall check of the car, in the beginning or the end of the rent. And when I delivered the car they LIED to me me, saying everything was OK. This company is a SCAM, don't rent with them. It's a complete absurd that are trying to make a profit with an alleged damage that is barely visible.
As always excellent service. Really nice collect thanks to Ivan at Terminal 1. We chose BMW iX in really good price (EUR110 for 3 days) that was phenomenal in every aspect during. Little minus that we didn't get any card to use charges. Also returning the car at Terminal 2 was really fine thanks to Jimena.
