Good experience. Easy turn in. No hidden fees, I usually travel with hertz and don't have many issues. This location is much less busy then the airport, and easier to get to for car dropoff. There is a train station nearby to go to the airport which is nice but it's a bit of a walk. Overall good experience for car rental. Friendly staff as well.

SCAM ARTISTS They overcharge for everything, try to oversell and add things you didn't order. Charged for a babyseat when we never got one, nor needed one. A 30 euro daily rental ended up costing 80 euros somehow. They NEVER answer the phone and the contact number is a premium number so you get charged a few euros every time you attempt to contact them, horrible, horrible, disgusting company

Absolutely terrible customer service! We've been clients of Hertz for a long time, BUT every time it's the wheel of fortune... the rules of rent depends on the employee you contact with- sometimes the credit card doesn't satisfy them, sometimes the license, sometimes passport, sometimes the rent conditions... thats annoying and very inconvenient. Please teach the team and standardize the rules!!! Now I'll work with any other company, but not with hertz! 1 star for the last 3 experiences!

Dishonest people at the desk who makes you sign extras very fast without giving any explanation. I had booked via sunny car with all insurance included. When I asked if everything was ok, the person replied that "yes the all risk insurance is included" but he actually made me pay for it. I have realized it when receiving the invoice. I never asked for an all-in insurance. The person was able to speak French and English.

Absolute scam artist. The car was fine, i returned it with fuel and on the final check, the guy wouldn't confirm that no extra charges were due. I asked him to show me and he kept referring to 'email invoice'. Having returned the car full of fuel know have that email invoice with 110EUR in fuel charges. Second time this has happened with hertz and it'll be the last time I use them. Sham, avoid at all costs

The worst experience. Even though i had made a reservation with online check in, i had to wait in the queue for 50 minutes just to discover that there was no car available in the corresponding category. Their solution was to give a car of bigger category with 60 euros more per day. The cashier also commented "drive carefully". When i asked for the money that i had prepaid back she said that she was not sure if i would get them. My reservation was through the official hertz site. DON'T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Really disappointed by the Hertz desk staff. Tried to sell me Hertz excess insurance even though I had comprehensive excess coverage from Autoeurope, I politely declined. Then tried to get me to "upgrade to a hybrid" from the perfectly adequate car I had booked for EUR140 extra - are they on a sales bonus or something? - I booked Hertz to avoid the hard sell, but got the opposite. I politely declined. We'll see if extra charges appear after I return the car next week.

Not sure what happened with all the negative reviews but our rent was smooth and professional - Hertz staff from El Prat parking helped us when other rival company left us in the dust even with booking made weeks before. Our car was almost new and very nice ride 7 seater and we paid little bit extra for full package insurance so at the end of our rent we just dropped the key and fly away home! Highly recommend!

We are very happy. When renting the car, we went to the parking lot to check the vehicle and point out all possible scratches. Two days after returning the car, the charge corresponding to the agreed price by the Hertz company was made. We will definitely rent from them again next time.

I asked at the counter for the price of a rental and they gave me $195Euros. I walked away and made the reservation online for 64 Euros and when I returned to the counter they were annoyed with me and told me that I had to wait 3 hours for them to give me the car why didnt they have them although coincidentally there were cars when they gave me the first one price and in the end they charged me more than what they told me they would charge. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because the car they gave me was very good and everything else worked correctly.

Avoid. Pick up process was smooth but when I returned the car, I was told by the guy to just give the keys and I will receive the receipt later. Results: I got charged 3 TIMES the price per day. When asking the customer service, I was told it was because I returned the car 1 hour EARLIER! I did not expect this behavior from a company like Hertz. Absolute rip off. Even worse the customer service.

Very poor customer service at the El Prat Barcelona airport. We were unaware of some requirements to deliver the car and the seller was prepared to NOT explain things to us clearly and on top of that he raised his tone of voice very loudly, he showed zero empathy, almost as if he was enjoying the fact that we lost the reservation, clearly we lost the reservation and the money. After terrible treatment at Europcar where our reserved and already paid for car was refused, we went to Hertz. We were quite stressed after our previous experience, but luckily the lady from Hertz in Terminal 1 was very friendly and helpful. We did not offer insurance in a pushy manner, the options were patiently explained. In no time we had a nice car at our disposal. Not the cheapest, but we are happy to pay a little more for good service. The drop-off was very fast, we were outside again within 5 minutes. If we go to Barcelona again we will definitely come back to Hertz, thank you!
