Terrible customer service at the front desk. Arrived 30 mins after pick up time because of long line in passport control beyond my control. Was told that there was no car for me because I was 30 mins late, when it was evident that they had run out of cars because of overbooking and were making excuses to bump me. They offered to charge me 500 euros on top of my pre-paid full rental car cost of 300 euros for the same car I had rented. Scam artists, beware!
Terrible service. Lady at the counter upgraded my protection plan without asking me, only noticed once the rental was over and my card was charged. What a scam, never asked or mentioned it. The customer service on the phone is also terrible, many times they simply cant hear me (suspect). On top of all this my rental was a Tesla and came in valet mode, had most features blocked, like radio and navigation and speed limit was 113kmh. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RENT HERE
Fairly straight forward once we found europcar but it was a little stressful trying to Find it. Booked an Audi to be told we had been upgraded to a Peugeot. Wouldn't say that was an upgrade. Would have been nice to have a car we booked or something similar.
Worst car rental in 15+ years. The car was delayed for 3 hours from the original pick-up time. Arrogant person at the desk. Tried to sell me the car x3 times more expensive, and did not want to listen that I refuse it. Then was very pushy and tried to sell lots of extra services which I did not need. No personel at the car check-in. The car was scratched and damaged in every place and every side. When I returned it, the check-out agent assured me there was no damage and they have no claims, but refused to give any paperwoirk. Afterwared they charged me 500 euro from the deposit. I have never received any email or invoice or any other document from them about it. For already a month I try to get an invoice or the explanation of the charge, but they reply to me once a month. Seriously thinking to sue them.
By far the worst experience I have ever had in my life with any country and for any service. I don't even know how on earth did this rude human get a job in customer service , to the point she wouldn't even give us her name. This was July 24th at 7pm at Barcelona airport at the counter, I hope Europcar corporation will do something about it. I will make sure to escalate it further. She even had the guts to tell me that it's my fault for having a child and that's "not my child", while my child was witnessing her shouting at me and refusing to rent me a car. My toddler was hungry and just got off the plane, was crying and she was trying her best to make my first Spanish experience hell. I couldn't believe it honestly, I don't know if she was racist or prejudice but she was up to no good. This all happened because I was late 1 hr to my reservation that unfortunately I made with a third party company online and she was trying to take advantage of the situation to rip me off by charging me double from what I already reserved online. She then said at the end "okay then no car for you", got up and left! How can someone whose job is to arrange car rentals then try to end a conservation with "no car for you".
The rental experience was good. The person at the desk was helpful. The problems started when I noticed damage not covered in the report and notified the personnel. What a surprise to receive a bill for that damage almost 3 weeks after returning the car. Hopefully I kept all the pictures and I was able to avoid the charge.
Great alquiler experience. From online booking to the check out, everything went perfect. I had a 500e, fully electric car, clean and good choice when driving for at most 200km per day. Only negative aspect when renting: the car was not 100% fully charged, but only 88%. When it comes to fully electric car is better to deliver to your customer a full charge.
Great customer service. Had a basically brand new fiat panda which was great to drive and ideal for what we needed. We have used them before and they we great service again. Would recommend
