I booked an suv NON hybrid. I wanted to have normal gas car. Everything in the internet was ok. Then we come to rent the car and it was a hybrid. The battery was EMPTY first of all and it was impossible to charge it. The connector they provided with the car was not compatible with european connectors. The people at the car rental didn t know anything about cars. I told them I wanted a very specific vehicle with specific range requirements and cargo requirements. They said "no its ok you dont need to charge it" First of all you DO need to charge the battery. And only with gas the range was 300km which was half of what we required. They didnt understand anything. Finally the car was also full off malfunctions in the computer and an unclosable fuel door. I was so pissed off about the experience. And to top it all off they decided to speak spanish to me on the return because why not I guess and I guess I was not pissed off enough. This entire car rental business is so shady it is discusting. I was thinking a bigger brand would be more reliable that the small online rentals but no! Same shit, different colour!
I have booked online and prepaid a car in June 2024. When I arrived they told me that my Mastercard from a EU bank is not good and they can't give me a car which is a discrimination. Anyway they promised to return the money that I paid within few days. It's November 2024 now and I still haven't received my money back, I have called at least 10 times and wrote emails, they always assure me that I will get my refund in 14 days but I never got it back. Avoid that place at all costs!!!
Please avoid this store. Enterprise at Airport T2 gave us the worst experience of this trip. We booked a car many days in advance, but when we arrived at the store, the male attendant kept walking outside while registering our information. Finally, after two hours, he told us that the car model we booked was not available. At the same time, he did not provide any other car models for us to choose. After we booked several days in advance, landed in Barcelona, and waited for 2 hours at Enterprise, the only suggestion he gave was to go to other nearby car rental companies to see if there were any cars. If so, what's the point of booking? Enterprise has no contract spirit. If you see this message, please avoid this store. In fact, it is three stores together. They are Alamo, Enterprise and National. I will blacklist all these three stores forever. This is no longer the fraud and high charges mentioned in other reviews. This is direct harm. In addition, the attitude of the male attendant was very bad. He was in a state of being completely indifferent. His words clearly expressed a meaning, that is, we just don't have a car, what can you do to me. Your reservation is worthless to Enterprise. If an enterprise manager happens to see this, I hope you can fire this irresponsible employee, unless you are like him and hope that the store will close down as soon as possible.
I always use Entreprise in Germany and it was always good. However, the office at Barcelona airport is really disappointing. First, the lady was very rude and impatient. Second, we booked a premium car, on the confirmation, it states that a second form of verification is needed, which is fine for us. However, when we arrived at this office, the staff said we must have 2 credit cards under the same name. The point i want to make here is that, it's fine if you have your own rules, but please make it clear in the booking confirmation. If what you mean by "the second form of verification" must be a credit card, put it clear in the confirmation.
I had booked an automatic car for pick up, it took over an hour to receive one. When it did arrive the car was clean and handed over in a timely manner. Dropping the car back was a breeze, all handed perfectly by Isobel. I would use again.
We booked Puegeot 508 estate car but was given a SUV which we could not carry the luggage of 4 people in the boot. I asked the agent to change but the agent said this was the only car avai or we could cancel the booking. I told him I would lodge a complaint and with further pressure, a SUV Nissan with larger boot was provided. Never expect the model you choose would be given to you when renting in Europe. I had a number of similar experience. Today I received the credit card bill. The bill was overcharged (333.18euro) when compared with 195euro I agreed for additional driver and out of country charge (I drove to France). Now I have to dispute the over charge. What an annoying and poor car rental company. I would not use it again! (updated 2024 Oct 29) I have lodged a complaint with the web page provided by the company but one month lapsed. No acknowledgement nor reply!
As always super friendly staff upon arrival. Made sure we had a great car, understood the rules of driving in Spain and they went above and beyond. Only issue I have is we left our camera in the car and tried to contact the office multiple times with no response. We are now without 2 weeks of memories of Europe. It's upsetting that such a large company can't communicate with their customers.
Great customer service! This was my first time renting in Barcelona. The service here was phenomenal. We went upstairs and the lady that helped us was very friendly. I forgot her name. Then we went to the area downstairs to pick up the car and Lorenzo was waiting for us. Lorenzo was awesome; he helped us select the best car for our family. They have a wonderful team in this airport. we use Enterprise a lot, and this team gets an A++ from us. We dropped the car in the Airport in Madrid, and Maria was phenomenal there too. She came right out and took the car. Great service too.
