The car was in a very good condition, they have shuttle services from the airport to the rental place which was very helpful. If you are planning to take third party insurance, then I would suggest taking from Centuro itself. Doing so, you will not need to keep any deposit and they cover any damages, wrong fuel being filled etc.
Everything worked out for us, I think depending on your situation things could quickly spiral and be negative- you need the same card you booked with and it's hard to add days to your reservation if you can't make it to an office in person. Our car was an opal corsa stick shift and it was the perfect car for us on the twisty hill town roads we were on. We loved how new the car was, others on the lot looked like they had more miles on them. Overall excellent value, just need the extra patience and time to ride the shuttle from the airport. The shuttle area isn't super well marked but you'll see the other cheaper car rentals pulling in and out of unmarked slots in the shuttle area.
Staff is rude , process is slow.I forgot my sweat inside of car and turned back office couple of days after but however they didn't help me to find or give me back it!!! A staff told me that cleaner guys can get it and she cannot do anythink!!!.They tried to provide a car with broken wipes .I paid for kia sportage which they have 4 pcs available in garden but they did not want to give one of!
Rented a car for 5 days and got picked up from the airport with their shuttle bus, only waited about 20 mins. Collecting the car at the office was very efficient and were soon on our way. Very good quality car, just like new. Dropping off the car was also easy and again taking us back to the airport on their bus.
Its good car hire company specially if you don't want to pay deposit they offer reasonable full cover insurance which is best to not worry about any thing.I always book a car from Centauro official website. Highly recommend good bus shuttle service for airport from 7am to 11pm Just request *if company can increase the shuttle timing sometime flights are early in the morning .* will be perfect for passengers
We booked our car through easyJet, paying for both the hire and extra protection insurance upfront. Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly asked to pay a PS1,100 deposit or PS27 per day for insurance, despite having already paid. This was distressing as it exceeded our trip budget. The customer service was appalling. Staff were rude and unprofessional, and we even overheard them talking about us and laughing. When they mistakenly tried to charge us again for the hire, no apology was offered after we proved our payment with a bank statement. The company's policies were equally frustrating. With no out-of-hours drop-off option, we were forced to return the car a day early, incurring additional taxi costs to and from our hotel. They also imposed a mandatory upfront fuel charge. When we finally received our keys, we were given no directions to the vehicle's location in the large car park, leaving us to search among hundreds of cars. Hidden costs and fees were abundant. Beyond the unexpected deposit or daily insurance fee and the attempted double-charging, there were additional unexplained fees. The entire experience was fraught with poor communication and subpar customer service. The emotional distress we observed in other customers was entirely understandable given our own experience. This car hire company falls far short of acceptable standards in every aspect of their service.
- Positive reviews on Google are fake. If you read them together, they all say the same thing and in the same tone. Focus on the 1- and 2-star reviews for the real story. - No way to figure out where to get picked up for shuttle from airport. - No answer to phone calls in middle of day. - Require EUR1150 deposit hold on CC if you don't take their "comprehensive insurance." - Located in industrial center away from airport. Would feel very strange at night. - Ask customer to verify damage to car "larger than size of a 2euro coin." Seemed annoyed when came back with list of noted damage. - Different car than booked. - Avoid the Hyundai i20. It is a nightmare of a user experience. I was flexible with time and logistics. But imagine Centauro would be a disaster if trying to make a flight or traveling with children. AVOID at all costs. **UPDATE** Copy/Paste "Response from the owner" a month later - "Hey, fill out a form and we'll get back to you eventually." And what major brand uses bit.ly customer-facing? This is what happens when you let the consultants run your company. Amazing.
Excellent service throughout and overall, will definitely rent from them again and I highly recommend them. Have been using mostly Europcar and Avis, very pleased choosing Centauro this time. I have uploaded my documents at the time of booking online the day prior my arrival and this made the process faster at the counter. The free shuttle service took us from Terminal 2, between C and B, we actually just came out of the airport walked a bit and the van was there (big yellow van with Centauro written on it, can't miss it) so we did not wait at all. We were taken to their rental office, just 2 minutes away. There was a little queue at that time (cca. 20:30 on a Thursday) some 4-5 persons ahead of us, waited about 10-15 min and then we got the car right away, the lady at the counter was very kind as well as were her other colleagues. Just had to show our driver licenses (2nd driver was included) and there was a 131 Euros deposit for the fuel (in case the car is not returned with a full tank). No other deposits were necessary, I had the premium deal, fully ensured. I have rented a Hyundai Tucson, car was pretty much new, like all their other cars, and it was very clean as well. I returned around 19:30 on a Saturday, there was no queue at this time, gave the key back, I returned it with a full tank and that was it. Hopped on the free shuttle bus and few minutes later we were back at the airport. So once again, all in all, extremely happy for having chosen Centauro for renting a car at Barcelona, highly recommend them over any other car rental companies!
