Unquestionably the best bang for your buck in Durango. The recent remodel did wonders for the place and all the modern comforts are present with shockingly ample amenities for a motel. The pour-over coffee setup in particular was such a pleasant surprise. Rooms are clean, comfortable, warm, and welcoming. Ownership and staff are kind, engaged, and just plain great people; I cannot say enough good things about the staff during both check in and check out. I will book the Siesta Motel again whenever I visit Durango and I highly recommend you do so as well. Small business ran by such thoughtful people deserve your patronage and are becoming rarer each day.

Wonderful little Motel at the North end of town. Great retro remodel. Rooms look as new, clean, with the right amenities(fridge, coffee maker) easy in and out. The service was amazing. Pet friendly.

The motel is identified by a beautiful neon street sign right out of the 50's Turning onto the horseshoe drive of Siesta Motel and its inviting courtyard, heightened my sense of nostalgia. Warm greetings by the manager/owner April further reassured us we had chosen well. Our rooms were clean, inviting and newly updated. I loved the intimacy of this 24 or so room complex, that seemed as much a destination and not just a nights stay. And the location proved a bonus as an excellent Texas bbq restaurant is located 2 doors down

This place is really charming. Though the rooms are on the small side, it has all the modern updates, including plentiful outlets for chargers. The pour over coffee setup in the rooms was the best I've ever experienced in any motel! Thank you! I was concerned about the proximity of the busy highway, but it was actually quiet during the evening. I would happily stay at Siesta Motel again.

Adorable, fun and clean. My kids loved it. I LOVED their water bottle refill station! Super helpful for us as we traveled across Colorado to see all of the National Parks. Rooms were clean, updated. Couldn't figure the stove out but we managed just fine. Friendly staff.

Very nice quaint and well cared for older motel one level style. Our room was charming- wife's feedback. Exterior has nice touches of landscaping. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, beds comfortable, no carpet - smart. Great water pressure on shower. Best mini fridge for our needs - magic chef-with good size freezer. Room Coffee used electric kettle and made good coffee. 5-10 minutes from silverton train. Good value.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this little Durango gem. We travel with our two dogs and it was pup friendly and a perfect location for them too. The motel has been recently renovated with lots of character and nicely appointed rooms. The rooms themselves were super clean, beds cozy and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The motel has tons a cute little details and feels as though it was very thoughtfully curated. They have a nice outdoor seating area to grill, sip your morning coffee or even just hang and get some fresh air. There are bikes available for rental as well and a beautiful river path just across the street. Staff was very friendly and owners gave us some awesome recs for our stay in town. We will be back :) thanks again Siesta!

Such a great little family-owned motel! Ignore the older photos with dark, dreary interiors, everything is freshly remodeled and so fun! The rooms are somewhat minimalistic yet very comfy. The bed slept great, nice and firm but not too much so. I loved the small fridge with a good-sized freezer. We'd been traveling for several days and the freezer was a blessing. They have a little room with an ice machine and a bottle filler--also appreciated! The bathroom was lovely with a huge sink. The shower was on the smaller size but the tiling was beautiful and water pressure was nice. If I was to make any suggestions, it would be nice to have a little hook for the hand towel because this klutz kept dropping it. Beautiful grounds, nice quiet location. I highly recommend!! (Sorry my photos are as we checked out)

Fun hotel with a great revamp. Service was above and beyond. The rooms are really well done and give you the feel of a 70s motel with perfect little modern touches. Rooms were spotless and the pour over coffee was appreciated. 10/10

Nice roadside motel! Wish there were more like this. Looks like it was recently restored and the rooms look really good, but we couldve used a bit more shelving in the bathroom. Stayed there for two nights and theres a pretty decent BBQ restaurant and a good coffee shop within walking distance. The parking is a little tight, but larger vehicles were able to get in and out. Thought we had an issue and I brought it up at the front desk and they were concerned and responsive about it, but it turned out to be nothing serious. Would definitely stay here again! Great value for the price!

Every conversation I have with either the owner or the front staff, Hayden, was helpful, kind and timely! Thanks so much! Would absolutely stay here again!

Charming motor lodge of yore, brought into modernity with technology and attention to detail. The gazebo on the lawn was a nice spot to enjoy our breakfast from Durango Joe s nearby. Parking is slim but adequate, office staff is responsive and helpful, and that neon sign is living history. When in Durango, stay here for charming, service and value.

Great place to stay, very clean and cozy, the girls in the lobby are super sweet and friendly, they even have a nice set to make excellent coffee in the room. Something not so positive is that I found it a bit expensive for not offering breakfast, but apart from that everything was great, if you are looking for a clean, cozy and quiet place to stay in Durango, this is highly recommended.

Absolute gem of a motel. Sparkling clean rooms, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. We loved the bikes they had available to use, and the motel is conveniently located right off the riverfront bike path. Location is wonderful as well. Only 7 min to the hot springs, and close to many great restaraunts in walking distance. Checking in ans out was a breeze. The hosts were incredibly kind, going out of their way to mail back a forgotten item. Will definitely stay here again anytime im back in durango. Rooms: Super cutely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Nearby activities: Animas riverfront bike trail, hiking trail behind the motel, nightlife Safety: Very safe Walkability: Super walkable! Food and drinks: Coffee and tea in the rooms. Great food & drinks walking distance from the motel.

I had a short but sweet stay at Siesta Motel on my way back from a music festival. The room was clean and adorned with thoughtful appliances and toiletries. The owners really took the time to think about what a guest may need during their visit. I look forward to returning with my pup to check out the fall foliage of Durango! I highly recommend this place if you want to support a locally owned motel with personality! Noteworthy details: Refrigerator, microwave, hot water kettle, pour over coffee, tea, toothbrush, toothpaste, filtered water, blow dryer and nice wine glasses. :)

This is such an adorable place!! The pour over coffee was wonderful and from a local roaster. Loved being able to cook meals in our room which was perfect for our large family!! There was easy access to extra items we needed and the staff was fantastic!! Hannah one of the owners even texted some suggestions on restaurants in the area and was so friendly!! Love supporting a family owned place you can tell the difference vs the chain places. Highly recommend if you are stopping in Durango.

It was just one night but next time were in Durango, were staying here. Room decor was well above your average chain hotel and amenities, such as brewed coffee in the room and loaner bicycles, are a great touch. Wish we spent time in the Gazebo, looked like a pleasant place to enjoy the evening. Next visit were going to borrow bicycles and ride the trail following the Animas River.

Where do I begin!? This place is amazingly thoughtful and very adorable! Pour over coffee is amazing. Going to order some of this coffee online. Venmo the housekeepers-nice touch. Roku in the room, cute signs to personalize your stay. Great WiFi, sweet little Gazebo for a little office/game room with little electric fireplace. Wonderful little ice and sundries room very conveniently located in the middle of the strip of rooms. Spoke to the owner, Hannah and had a very wonderful conversation. I am so glad to have stayed here in Durango. I wish them well and hope if we come thru town again that we will be able to stay here again!!! Definitely recommend this staple in Durango!!!! Also loved hearing the training the distance in the morning.

A nice locally owned motel. We had the one bed, bathroom. Newly renovated. Small, but good, perfect for a one night travel through. Clean bathroom. Easy check-in and out. A little up from the main area, so not as crazy with traffic.

We enjoyed our stay at The Siesta very much. The rooms were simple, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was a fun retro throwback to staying in a motel as opposed to the usual cookie cutter chains. The owners are super friendly and very visible on the property. Love that.

There are so many great places to stay in Durango, but when you find a gem, you just have to tell everyone. Siesta Motel was so pleasant, so cute and comfortable and so affordable, just 2 miles from downtown as well. Newly renovated and Shelley, the owner was very pleasant and ready to help. Don t forget to say hi to the motel mascot, Camp, her amazing sweet dog. We will be staying at Siesta every time we go back to Durango!

Adorable, locally-owned gem. Rooms were cute and clean with a throwback vibe. Location is on the trolley line and within walking distance of the Animas River Trail, the grocery store, and some local restaurants and coffee shops. They also have bikes for guests to use. The staff was friendly and helpful and made the stay a joy. Would definitely stay here again. If you stay, say hello to Camp, the chocolate lab that greets guests in the office. He likes belly rubs!
