Great location, just couple blocks to train depot. Comfy bed but could use some softer pillows. No microwave (had to use one in lobby). Nice Mgr came to our room & replaced batteries for our tv remote. Bfast was bare bones but worked for 1 morning. Next morn went to Jean Pierre French Cafe. Parking an issue, but got a spot. WiFi didn't work well.

Superb location, comfortable and clean downtown hotel. Nights are surprisingly quiet and the blackout curtains helped me sleep in. Extra $50 per stay for dogs is a little spicy if yoo are staying just a couple of days.

We came to Durango to ride the Durango/Silverton train and shop/ eat in downtown Durango. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. Once you are there you will not need your car until you leave. The staff was excellent. The afternoon clerk spent a lot of extra time helping us plan our activities for the next few days. The hotel is modern and vary clean.

Hotel is clean but dated. |Breakfast was minimal poppets , fruit bars, cereal. No microwave in room it is in lobby. |Fridge in room and Keurig. |Would not recommend for Holidays due to high prices and extreme tax fees. |Only good is can walk downtown and train depot. Parking in town is difficult but convenient for hotel guess.

Front desk staff was excellent. Room was clean and affordable. Parking was tight, but okay. Close to the train station. I used to live in this area years ago and it sure has changed. You can walk down Main Street & Train from here. Very, very touristy now. But...cool.

Very close to the train station- within walking distance and right in town so you can walk the streets and shop. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Building was older but very well kept. Bed, pillows, and comforter were all clean and very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. Everything clean with flowers on the decks and parking lot. Hot tub and pool worked and were open. To-go breakfast was stocked well- not a 5 star meal, but some nice options for on the go. Would stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights; comfortable quiet room with good size fridge. Loved being able to park the car & walk to Durango train station & many restaurants & shops in Main Street. Swimming pool clean but cold. Fine with no cleaning for 2 days but appreciated clean towels from reception

Wonderful room and extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Room was quiet and very clean. Ample parking and a short walk to the Durango Train Station, restaurants and shopping. Continental breakfast was adequate and breakfast sandwiches were available upon request. Will stay here again.

Clean, but a bit rundown. The cleaning staff knocked on the door very early even though we were a one night stay. Rooms: Clean was the only perk. Nearby activities: Great location, right by downtown! Safety: Felt a bit sketchy. Lock your doors and watch over your shoulder. Dark walkways. Walkability: Easy to get to downtown.

Awesome place with great staff. Loved the location and the experience. One of my favorite places to visit. Rooms: Big rooms with everything you need. Even I few things I didnt know Id need. Nearby activities: There are dozens of amazing restaurants, great views, and a peaceful atmosphere. The train is half a block away, and by far, the most popular activity. But theres also a ton of rafting, biking, hiking, and everything you would want to do outdoors. If you have a car, the lake, hot springs, and dog park are a less than 10 min drive.

Enjoyed staying here. It is walking distance to the train station and most of downtown. We went to Soaring Colorado and we were able to get breakfast and catch the 8:15 train to Silverton. When we got back we walked to a restaurant and had dinner. They do have a pool and jacuzzi. Staff was very nice. Walkability: Very easy access to shops and restaurants and train station.

Ideal pit stop on a long camping trip. You can bring your bikes into the room, its close to everything, and the linens and room dont reek of fresh scent products. They even provide rags to use to tidy up your shoes/bikes/vehicle. The classic, kidney-shaped, saltwater (!) pool is a bonus. Also, I need to note that the inflation-adjusted price is about the same as a Super 8 motel in the 1990s, so its an extreme value. If youre expecting a 5 star resort you will not love this place, but for us it was beyond perfect.

A great place to stay if you are taking the train. Downtown Durango is a block away! Only issue is one of parking. Manager on duty saw I was handicapped and moved us from 2nd floor to the 1st. Great service, rooms a good size, beds comfortable.

No wifi capability. This is unacceptable in 2024. They advertise wifi, and they flatly tell you that it doesn t function. Avoid this place at all costs. They give you a password for wifi that s offered by a nearby restaurant. That doesn t work either. This place sucks.

This place is close to the train station and you can just walk main street from the hotel. I left my purse in my room after checking out ,got all the way to Utah, and they mailed it back in days. Everything was still in it. Thank you, hotel staff for being the best!! Nearby activities: Train station, main street. Walkability: You can walk anywhere down main from here. Food and drinks: Good breakfast!

We stayed here for the night after riding the polar Express. We mainly picked this hotel because its right next to everything including the train station. This was a very nice hotel for the price! The lady who checked us in was very kind. She found out I had a one year old and offered to give us a different room with a wall separating the two beds so itll be easier for our son to fall asleep and stay asleep. The room was clean and updated. Way better than what you would get for the same price in Vegas! The breakfast was simple but refreshing. Check out was simple. Overall, an excellent place to stay! I would definitely stay here again!

Pitiful TV and wifi. You have to request for your to be cleaned?! Seriously ?! That should be automatic and not requested!! The architect in the bathroom is wrong.. especially how the toilet is located and rotated.. at least its close to the train station.

Older lodge with a cozy, homely feel. At the edge of old historic downtown, right off Main St. You can walk almost anywhere in about 10 minutes. Steps from the Durango & Silverton RR Depot. Reserving room on lodge website was quick and easy. Charge posted the day before our booking. Upon arriving, the parking lot was easy to find and park. The clerk in the office was kind and hospitable and pleasant to talk to as he checked us in. Crystal clear pool!!! Clean rooms, a dated bathroom, but clean as well and stocked. Rooms: Clean, great amenities. Fridge, coffee maker, tv, lodge info

This was an okay stay. Good location, front desk people were nice. No stairs which is more difficult lugging your stuff up the stairs if you arent used to the higher altitude. Tiny parking lot so we had to park out on the street but then walk all the way around the building (carrying our stuff) and up the stairs. Not the most convenient place.

Very nice lodging in downtown Durango, close to movie theater, train depot and numerous restaurants. Parking is limited in downtown so it was wonderful to be able to walk most places from our motel. Room was comfortable and clean, bed sheets and pillows were crisp, clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and courteous. There is a small pool on premises. Breakfast is somewhat limited but certainly enough to get you going in the morning (plus there are a couple bakeries/pastry shops within a couple blocks if you need something sweet). This is my second stay here; both times have been very comfortable. If you want to stay close to the downtown area when in Durango, this lodging is certainly worth a look.

Location, location, location, thats what the Durango Lodge is all about. Practically across the street from the Narrow Guage Railroad and very, very close to some really good restaurants. Easy to get to off of Hwy 550 too. Kelly checked me in and she was very helpful. My room was spotless and I booked a room with a balcony. The only reason this is not 5 stars is the guest wifi is almost non existent unless youre really close to the office. Other than the wifi I was very comfortable here. Never got in my car again until it was time to leave.

Stayed for a night with my kids while visiting Durango. If youre looking for a great price and prime location, this is your place! Pros: The cold AC and continental breakfast were quite nice especially in the 90s weather here. Also I appreciated their updated bathrooms and amenities. Cons: Very tiny room that was weirdly divided and had windows that people could look into from above on the street. Next time, I wont let my husband book. Walkability: This is right in the main street area close to railway museum and all the restaurants
