Great rental experience. The bay is easy to find and I had no trouble starting the rental. Appreciated that its accesible 24/7. The car VW ID.4 was like new, 100% charged. Cables and card provided so you can charge on the way for free.
Great experience with UFODrive, excellent value and fully self service, no messing around with car rental desks. Car was in perfect condition. Recommend for anyone who wants an electric hire car in Ireland.
UFOdrive works in many ways but the solution with everything depending on the app and no physical key is stressful and not completely reliable due to bad internet connection. It works anyway true Bluetooth but it is annoying at times. We had problems with the app finding the car after charging. Had to delete and reload app. Having that said, the customer service were really good and I spoke to a service guy who was very helpful and service minded.
I've rented twice from UFOdrive and the experience and price has been excellent. Despite a couple of kinks where I had to contact customer service, the rapid (instant) and helpful response meant that everything was still quicker than dealing with a conventional hire desk. Highly recommended.
Excellent service. Originally booked a Model 3 but got an email to inform me it had been damaged a week before my booking and was upgraded to the Model Y long range. Car was in excellent condition, delivered to specified location with 91% battery charge and clean. Walkaround done with UFO Drive employee and existing marks/damage pointed out by employee and photos/videos taken on spot. Very easy handover and return, and a great car to have on test while my own ICE car was in for winter prep work. No issues with range anxiety either, covered 135km during the day and battery dropped from 91% to 76%. Charged back up to 96% in 25 mins at a fast charger (charging card supplied with car). Will definitely rent again in the future!
Sick car but a bit of a hassle - The car was not at full charge when I picked it up, 80%. It was constantly dying and running out of charge. I had to spend 2 evenings and a morning on a two day hire sitting at a garage until 1.30 in the morning. For example last night I went to the garage at 11.30 to charge it and it went from 19% to 41% in 90 minutes or so. Then on the 20km drive back it went back down to 23% I spent more time on the rental charging the car than driving, no superchargers around - used the fastest 11kW chargers available. No long distance either, just local driving from Dublin to Enfield. On the positive side, the rental was hassle free and the car was beyond sick. Perhaps it was my taking advantage of the crazy acceleration
If you are wanting to rent an electric vehicle UFODRIVE should be your go to. I do not especially love dealing with people all that much and if you are like me you won't have too with this company. We picked up and dropped off our car using just their app! Your phone is the key and if you need to alter your mileage is soooooo easy! We will surely be using this company when we travel in Europe or wherever they have locations.
The best rental company I've ever used. No human interaction at all - you come, get into car and drive away. It's that simple. Everything is done through the app. Cars are fabulous too, clean, fully charged and have everything you need.
