Rented a car in October 2024. Everything went very smooth for me. Polite staff, easy pick up and 24/7 self drop off. All was okay for me. No complaints whatsoever. Car had several dents, scratches etc (assume not UK drivers), however, no one said that I had any additional damages on the car or smth like this (but I had a full insurance from this company). From my experience I can definitely recommend this place.
Well placed & centrally located place. Renting process was smooth due to the nice, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Nice , clean & comfortable car. As the car didn't have in-built GPS system, I had to use Google-maps on my mobile. Only problem was that it didn't have a proper stand to hold the mobile. We didn't face any other kind of problem with the car and the return process was also simple + quick. I have yet to receive the deposit amount back in my card-account.
My experience was very good, the attendant very polite and attentive, was very fast to pick up the car and the return is not to mention... flexibility and practicality, totally clean car, new and nice to ride. I recommend 110%
I am writing this to prevent everyone from being victimised in the future. The vehicle was poorly maintained. The gaz was also half empty at the time of rental. That was fine, but when I contacted the SIXT office, they told me to contact customer service. I replaced the cost for the maintenance. The customer centre told me a few days later that they would not pay for the servicing and that they would give me a EUR50 voucher for using SIXT again. I then requested a refund of the money spent on servicing alone, but have not received a reply. Very time-consuming and costly to negotiate.
Hi! I'm only leaving this review because when I rented a car from Sixt Dublin, I did the car rental online and THEN read the reviews a few weeks later and was sooooo nervous that I would have a bad experience. I'm happy to report that I had a great experience with this rental company. We requested a compact 4 door with automatic transmission and were given that as described. The car did have some scratches but we weren't really all that fussed by it - the inside was super clean. Check in was easy, we arrived before our pickup time and were served right away. The attendant asked once if we wanted insurance and we confidently said no (I have it through my credit card). They did have to put a EUR5000 hold on my credit card because we rejected the insurance - I was aware of this as you have to sign off on it when you book online. The deposit was released about 4 business days after the car return. I had already paid in advance online so I was given the keys right away. Drop off was super easy. Everything was a straight forward and easy process. Just wanted to leave this out there!
Ireland is the most amazing place on Earth.. The history and culture is everywhere, side streets, alleyways, countryside and mountains, Cliffs and shorelines. I will be back for sure!! I will also be renting another vehicle from Sixt again. Rental car was great, your colleague offered a free upgrade due to the number of bags we arrived with and this alone made our trip more enjoyable.
Excellent experience. The car was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and return was a breeze.. 500% recommended Only thing i can think of is to have lower insurance cost. Everyone wants full protection but it cost more than car rent itself which is down side. But overall Perfect experience
A great stop for rentals especially when your trips are for 2 or more nights. The service was simply professional and customer friendly. A special mention for Mr, Andrei at the desk who did a splendid job in sorting cars for our group of 10 members. They were happy to swap one car which was not satisfactory for trips. Definitely recommended to everyone looking for cars to hire!
