Extremely friendly, car was great, pay attention to return instructions as Dublin airport signage does not align with actual location of this rental return (follow signs to terminal 2 departures). If you're a right side of road driver recommend you get the walk away insurance... non "M" roads in Dublin are quite narrow. Though we had no problems at all over our 1200km of driving, I'd still recommend it just in case. I utilize National for work often, this location met my expectations.

Easy out and easy in. Great staff on both rental and check in. Friendly and easy to work with, and solid cars. Only issue was the premium location fee we got charged which was not included on the reservation. But they did a great job of making everything smooth.

The best car rental experience I've had! Chris and Flo were accommodating and friendly as we navigated the process of returning one rental car and picking up another (long story). They saw we were traveling with an infant and a lot of luggage and made it easy for us. The car was great and the process seamless. I plan to use National exclusively after this experience.

The second day we were in our Rental car we had a punctured tire, (this is not nationals fault) However, when the outside company came to replace the tire we were informed that we should have never been given this car due to the tread being too low. The next day a service light came on. The company is clearly not performing their "boot to boot" inspection of their vehicles. They are currently trying to charge me for the tire that should have never been on the car.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This was my best experience so far renting a car in Dublin Airport. I was at the counter less than 5 minutes, and 5 minutes later I was sitting in the car. I got a good price. The woman I spoke to was really nice and friendly, and she upgraded my rental free of charge.

Pure scammers. Avoid them. Rental Agreement 2Y7L7Q. Took car for one day. Upon return rental company claimed front wheel damaged. However it is very much wear and tear case. They still holding my EUR250 deposit with no summary, technical report or explanation provided. Wrote them number of emails, no response. Will go dispute and small claims court way so. Not the best way to start any holiday left just standing at the front desk of the airport reception point, no acknowledgement of any kind after a few minutes I had to ask if they were even open, I got a huff and a look of why are you here. Booking documents snatched out of my hand and then told I had to pay a PS1800 deposit and a PS90 even though I had already paid an extra PS25 for full insurance via ryanair After paying I was pointed to go to the car collection point along with a few other people, on arrival we had the same issue nit person would acknowledge we were there not even a hello or how can we help none of them wanted to be there from the looks of it. After a 15-minute wait, I was told my car was being washed and I would have to wait longer. I was given conflicting info as the car was already damaged I was told by the airport reception desk to take photos and email them and then when I asked on collection I was told no indont have to as it was already recorded, so what do you do then? For my own safety, I did take a full 360 set if photos just in case there was an issue. Next time, Im going to Hertz as at least you get some sort of customer service. Only saving grace was the person who gave me the keys as he was polite and actually helpful Wont be using National again unless I dont have any other option.

I must compliment a couple of the National Rental Car Dublin Airport team., Almer and Shaun in Rental Returns and Hannah? maybe Emily? at Check-in on arrival., Friendly, pleasant and Helpful.! Almer saved the morning for us when we circled looking for the National Return area and he quickly assisted us in directing and even having us follow him to the correct return area. ( better signage which needs improvement is the only reason why I didnt give 5 stars ). Shaun greeted us with prompt, pleasant and understanding assistance. Kudos to the Dublin personnel we encountered.! First time travelers to Ireland.

Recently rented a car and was impressed at how fast the return was. Being able to pick up / return at the car park just outside was really great. When we arrived, Adam was immediately there to complete the paperwork. There were some minor issues with the car, and he made notes of everything so these could be fixed. Really appreciate his good customer service, especially when he was working the holiday - Easter Monday.

The customer service from Tim and Katie at the service desk was absolutely brilliant. They got me in my car as soon as they could and were a joy to talk to. The VW T-Roc was also in stunning condition, they really give you the value for your money when you rent with them! All the tech in the car (park sensors, auto hold, ACC, lane assist) made it an absolute pleasure to drive and will honestly miss driving it! Marick? (Sorry if I messed up the name) helped me with the return process and made it a quick and friendly interaction letting me get on with my day and continue to my departure gate. If youre also in your period where youve just passed as long as you meet their age requirements, you can rent a car with this company. Im only 1 year in and they were my literally only saviours from a bundle of 2 years minimum requirement.

On our first trip to Ireland earlier this year we picked up our car rental and had a million questions. We got to talk to Cassie (hopefully I m spelling this right) and she was so amazingly helpful. She explained how tickets and insurance and accident issues differed from driving in the US. She talked to us about navigating the roads and important tips to be aware of and I really don t think we would have made it through the trip if she didn t go over all these things. We d never driven in a different country and we didn t know what to expect so we were a bit concerned She put all those concerns to rest and was so friendly and supportive and accommodating. I hate that it s taken me so long to write this review but thank you so much to Cassie and her team at the National location in the Dublin airport, you helped make our vacation great!!!!

Great service the other night when arriving late on a delayed flight and a bit stressed after a long week.... wondering if theyd still be open. Nothing was more reassuring than a call from Cormac saying that the car was ready and not to worry - hed wait for me to get through immigration. This was my first time using National outside the US and it wont be the last. They care about customer retention, theres never an upsell and theyre nice people. Pick up took a lot longer than typical but I was still satisfied if that had been my only interaction. I returned the vehicle DURING HOURS and handed keys to an agent. TWO DAYS later I received an email saying they charged me 1000 euros for the 2500 euros of damage to a tiny crack in the back of a mirror. Despite me having pictures of the vehicle when I returned in UNHARMED and making multiple attempts to contact them, only getting OUT OF OFFICE messages from the company and not being able to contact them I had to eat this charge despite my proof I returned the car unharmed and during hours. They didnt perform an inspection till two days later. Very unimpressed and dissatisfied. Part of the fee was later returned but still with NO COMMUNICATION from an actual person as I only received automated emails. (Fortunately have insurance but they cap the admin fees and since National has outrages charges above the amount covered I still had to pay a decent amount out of pocket as well as spending hours trying to get it all sorted out and trying to get national to even communicate with my insurance agent.)

Stay away! I rent from National Car Rental every week, all over the world. Ive recently rented in England, Israel, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, and had smooth experiences everywhere with some regional differences. About a week before my rental, I get an email from Liam stating: Protection Products/Car Rental Coverage There are a few options of coverage you can avail when picking up your vehicle. For your information, some Credit cards cover car rental insurance. HOWEVER, The Republic of Ireland tends to be an exclusion zone for most credit cards. As such we urge you to confirm with your credit card company if this applies. If you find that your credit card does in fact cover CDW and you would like to use it as an alternative to the vendors CDW please bring along a letter of proof of cover from the credit card company. Alternatively, we offer tiered levels of insurance which you can opt for upon check in of the car. Ive never hard to bring along a letter of proof of cover from a credit card company! The card rental agreement is fully sufficient, but no one has ever asked for that either. Then when I returned the car, they noticed the small crack in the tail light pictured. That was $800 euro to repair, and my credit card covered everything except for Diminution of Value, which is a BS charge for something this small. Im not sure the next time Im going to Ireland, but I wont be renting from this National location.

My husband and are are Emerald Elite Members (top tier) with National, we spend thousands with them yearly and normally don t have issues, but I wouldn t recommend the Dublin branch when traveling to Ireland. They gave us a 2019 Nissan Micra (tiny little bucket of a car) that had 85k kilometers on it, 4 different tires (big red flag, means they only replace them 1 tire at a time, which is NOT recommended) and worn out windshield wipers. It also died twice on us, so that was fun. I m just appalled at the condition of the car, let alone the fact that for 1300 dollars, they gave us that particular car when we re top tier members to National. They do not meet National Rental Cars expectations, I can tell you that much. I urge you to use a different company.

Terrible experience, took 6 weeks for them to eventually send an invoice for slight damage to rear bumper. Withheld twice the amount in the meantime and overcharged for the damage by ten times. In dispute and they won t send proper invoices of the cost.

Despicable sales tactics and unpleasant attitude at the counter. Car was fine. Counter staff, a line-up of bored teenagers hunched down on their various screens and keyboards, barely glancing at customers and looking anything but professional, did a spectacular show of fussing when I refused the optional and expensive DWT coverage, demanding to see proof of insurance and generally making it look like my refusal to cough extra money would void the rental. I had to stand very stern and firm and insist I would not take it. I hope the bad rating make the management review this despicable practice. Sell DWT as peace of mind, instead of waving it like a sword over customers heads. It is an optional cover as all customers should know. And for goodness sake train your staff to at least look like they like serving customers, who would in turn respond more jovially.

Had a great experience with Adam who set us up immediately off the bus from the airport and even managed to swing us an upgrade. The car was fantastic the whole drive around Dublin-Cork-Dingle-Limerick-Dublin, no complaints.
