Booked a car online for pick up the next day. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ray, he was friendly and welcoming. He answered all my questions and I had my keys within a couple of minutes. The reception area is bright and clean, lots of seating and a ticket system is in place so no standing in long lines. There is also toilets on site. I had my rental for over a week and it was perfect. I would recommend the skoda ateca, great car for getting around. Dropping back the car was quick and the gentleman receiving the cars a drop off was very helpful & kind, offered to help with any of my bags. I look forward to using Sixt Dublin Airport again and recommend them for a honest friendly hassle free rental
Great rental. Finding a car as a 24 year old had been difficult. There were very mixed reviews on Sixt, but they were very professional and the car worked great. With the underage fee and opting for full coverage to avoid any hassle and protect against the crazy Irish back roads, the price was much higher than that base rate shown. But having the freedom to drive ourselves around for our vacation was well worth it. Picking up and returning the car was simple. Show up, get out, and find the shuttle. The shuttle took us right back to the airport and we were off. Overall very pleased with their service!
The counter was very easy to find. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thought we had booked an automatic online but turns out it was a manual. No worries though, was nostalgic to drive a manual again. The car was in good condition, comfortable and clean. Returns were very straightforward too.
We rented a car for three days; it was a Nissan Juke. The car was very clean, very comfortable, scratch-free, and brand new. We were very pleased with Sixt's services; the staff was very friendly, and the car rental process was very straightforward. If we have the opportunity to use Sixt again, we will definitely rely on them. The shuttles to the airport run regularly and are very punctual. One of the best car rental services we have ever experienced.
Very positive experience with the staff and check-in at the Dublin T1 terminal. The check-in was fast and a free shuttle service to and from the car depot to the T1 terminal. The car was in excellent conditions and had no problems while travelling around the south west of Ireland.
A great rental experience from start to finish. Although the lineup to pick up the car was long, there were plenty of staff on hand to get people processed quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the driving experience in Ireland for those not familiar. We hired a compact car, and were pleased with the Ford Focus we were offered. It was a modern model, with AC, a large LCD screen for Google Maps GPS from our phone, and also all the modern driving aides available on modern cars. The drop off experience was also painless and quick, with a short shuttle bus ride to the departures terminal.
It is a scam branch, not a car rental, so beware of dealing with it. My experience with them was very bad. The car was contrary to expectations and not the same category as the chosen one. It was very bad and not safe and legal to drive on the roads. There was a defect in the rear wheel that caused the car to shake permanently. The tire was completely worn out and the air conditioner was not working as it should, in addition to the windshield wipers not working as they should and the car was... There were injuries on all sides. I contacted them to replace the car, and they asked me for an additional 2,000 euros to replace the car. Unfortunately, the left side mirror was damaged, and I informed them immediately. I was surprised that the next day, an amount of 950 euros was deducted from my credit card without informing me of that, and before the end of the rental period, and an amount was left. 2,100 euros are reserved in the account, bringing the amount reserved on the bank card to 3,050 euros for a regular Citroen car. After delivering the car, I contacted them via email and their response was very negative. They blamed me and clearly evaded responsibility.
I recently rented a Lexus automatic from Sixt Car Rental in Ireland and had an excellent experience. The transfer from the airport to the pick-up location was seamless and well-organized, making the start of my trip stress-free. Upon arrival at the Sixt branch, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff. The service was exceptional, and the entire process was handled swiftly. The paperwork was minimal, and within minutes, I was on my way with the keys to a spotless Lexus. The car itself was in superb condition, clean, and equipped with all the features I needed for a comfortable drive. The automatic transmission made navigating the Irish roads effortless, allowing me to focus on enjoying the beautiful scenery. Overall, Sixt provided an outstanding car rental experience with great service and efficiency. I highly recommend them for anyone needing a reliable vehicle in Ireland.
